I'm Fl & can relate. I was blessed & only lost med size tree limbs but fill my side & half my backyard. I've been working on them a little each day. Their to big to drag to the curb without cutting up with my saws-all, big job.
SO happy that you have power back at your home. Love the step planting! Continued prayers for our friends in Western NC. Encouraging everyone to help w/donations if able. ❤️
Day 7 no power. Thank the good Lord for His grace. We are safe and together and only loss was trees. My prayers are going to all those in Western NC. I was in need of some happy content like this.
I love that you have gardening to zone out to what just happened. Gardening always just chills me out. As they say... to plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.
Good morning, Jenny! So happy that things are starting to get back to “normal “for y’all! Always fun to see 3 generations of sweet ladies working together❣️
What a fun planting project!! Anyone else wondering about the lone plant still in the pot that wasn't planted? On the left hand side? Prayers continue for those affected by Helene!
Three Generations, that’s wonderful seeing you working together ❤️ Happy Birthday to your daddy! Love this planting, it will be a lovely surprise next spring…. A shout out to Linn County Lineman from Iowa for getting our lights back on in Leesville,SC! What an amazing Country we live in! Much love from South Carolina 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏
3 generations planting ...can't get any better than that! It's going to be a beautiful showing, Jenny. It's going to be fun the watch. A few of those plants, I'm curious to see grow. Hope Papa had a wonderful Birthday dinner❤
YIPEE power 👏👍 hope your folks is back on soon! Happy Birthday to your dad 🥳 Continued prayers for those affected by the hurricane, the amount of devastation is beyond words. Wonderful to see the community spirit & “love thy neighbor “ going on 🕊🙏🕊
I love your videos! God bless you all. It is so comforting to see you doing what you’ve been doing all these years. What a beautiful space you are creating. Happy Birthday to Jenny’s daddy. Mimi, it’s always wonderful to see you too.
I thought the same as another viewer commented. How wonderful that 3 generation of women are working together in joy. Bless you and your family. Nice to see Emily.
So glad you guys are OK and got the power back. It's great that you can help your parents and celebrate your Dad's birthday 🎂. Happy birthday to him. As someone that has lived through several hurricanes living in South Florida, I feel you. 🙏 looking forward to seeing the garden grow.
Iowa 5b here. On a trip to Portugal, I saw agrapanthus for the first time. The gorgeous blue flowers were everywhere and i knew i had to have one. I did get one! I will have to bring it ondoors for the winter so hoping it will survive. Love seeing your gardens developing. I have learned so much from you Jenny! Blessings!
Looks wonderful and while watching you guys I thought the same thing generational gardeners! Glad your power is back on, saying a prayer for Mimi and production to get connected really soon!
I absolutely LOVE Biotone , when my plants finally figured out that I planted them with Biotone they exploded with growth, I’ve never experienced that before I started using Biotone . Great product ! 🌺💚🙃
Nice to see three generations of women working together!! Maybe a good thing you couldn't use the anger so you could talk. Thanks to the video! Nice plants!
Happy Birthday to Your Dad Health and Blessings for every day for mamy many years. Love Your videos :) You inspire me so much, even though I"m in Poland and my zone is 6b. There are so many tip that You gave and I have used them here I just modified for my climate and zone, Thank You so much for Your wonerful and profesional advice :)
wonderful seeing three generations all working together in the garden ...it truly is a family affair....now , did I miss something , on the left side there's on plant still in it's pot , is it going somewhere else or is it " oops , we forgot to plant that one " lol
Ground covers are such a good plan for that hillside. As an FYI there are quite a few great native NC ground covers that are alternatives for non native plants that are invasive. Creeping Jenny as an example is a listed invasive plant in NC. It’s just something to think about given how influential your show is.
That was 'fun, informative and inspirational'. I'm loving how it's coming together. Off topic question, but how are you going to get soil into those boxes? Can't wait to see that one. Thank you Jenny, Mimi, Emily and Brynna! Be well y'all!
We are most likely going to use some natural debris in the bottom (logs, thick sticks etc) to help take up a bit of space and then we will use bagged soil in the boxes.
@@GardeningwithCreekside Yes cut up logs from the trees that came down. Another question on the raised beds. Would it make sense to cover the 'debris' with landscape fabric, partially up the sides, to prevent the soil from going down into the debris? Just thinking. Thanks.
Do those Feathered Friends ajuga color up in the season? Thought these were either chartreuse or purple…. BTW Tapestry of multiple groundcovers with fibrous roots systems - looks great and practical. Kudos
That will be so pretty! I will be watching it fill in! Just beautiful! Happy Birthday to your Dad!! Hot shower & Hot meal will be great I am sure!!!❤❤❤
Have been wondering why you didn't have agapanthus in your garden 😊 It is indigenous to South Africa 🇿🇦 The other one you could try is tulbagia. The delosperma is also native to South Africa 🇿🇦 I'm feeling right at home today 😂
That’s going to look so good once they fill in. ❤ I just have to ask because the OCD in me can’t help it😆, but are the steps levelled or is it just the mulch that gives it the illusion that they aren’t? Sorry for asking, no ill intentions. Hoping the power gets fully restored for you all soon. 🙏🙏
I use both mondo grass and creeping Jenny but not together. I would think the creeping Jenny would cover the mondo grass. Are you not concerned that snakes might hide in the Creeping Jenny? It will interesting to see how this works out in the spring.
They are and I have 😁. We know that they are not “perfectly” spaced, and I’m totally fine with that. It’s a very natural space and we were not trying to make them evenly spaced.
@@GardeningwithCreekside ok! I guess you will just step on the ground between them? Thanks for your answer!!Love all you do and you are an exemplary example of how to behave under extreme duress( when the flood came through) love ya!!

Happy happy birthday to your daddy!! I love that the whole area that you are building is absolutely stunning.❤❤
Love the Monarch Waystaion idea Jenny! Sadly they are now on the Endangered Species List! Gardeners can lend them a hand! Love the hardscaping!
I absolutely LOVE Biotone , when my plants finally figured out that I planted them with Biotone they exploded with growth, I’ve never experienced that before I started using Biotone . Great product ! 🌺💚🙃
I absolutely agree! Bio-tone is a game changer for my gardens!
Looks so awesome!! So glad U got power!! Happy birthday to Ur papa!! Sending prayers that Ur parents get power soon!!😊🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Happy Birthday to Poppy! Loved this video and the plantings gave me some great ideas. Glad yall are ok.
Glad y'all have power again !! ❤❤love the transformation the garden is taking shape ..it's going to be awesome !!
Your brain works fantastic ways to see how the plants will look I can even see how beautiful the stair side will be.
Thanks so much 😊
This is going to be so beautiful!!
Love your vision! It already looks great. Glad y’all got power back!
Good morning, 26:42 Jenny and all . Have a wonderful weekend 😊😊 Happy Birthday to your dad!!
All the plants look so lovely!! You steps area are going to be so fun!!!
Nice to see three generations of women working together!! Maybe a good thing you couldn't use the anger so you could talk. Thanks to the video! Nice plants!
Happy birthday to your dad! Wonderful planting edition 😊
I’m a big fan of ajuga! I use it all over my garden and in pots. It tends to like moist well draining areas. This should be lovely as it fills in!
The ajuga will help with erosion control. I can’t wait to see it all grow in
Jenny, loving the selections of plants. Im testing out similar ground covers this year. Looking forward to seeing yours grow during your garden tours.

The wash out is not that bad considering you just worked that area and the soil REALLY hasn’t settled yet. Everything is coming along nicely .🌺💚🙃
This looks great!! Glad you have power back.
Fun day with the Creekside Girls!
Grea selection of plants. Looking forward to see how they do.
looks great Jenny. Love the natural stone steps and all the ground cover.
Thank you❣️
I see you added a new "unique stone dog " in the new garden. My dog loves to sit right where I'm working all the time.
Sister always seems to find the camera 😂
Happy birthday to your Dad.😊
Jenny , it’s going to look fantastic ❤️
Happy birthday to your Dad!
Oh it’s going to be so beautiful 🤩 💕

Looking so good!
Watching you from Delaware.
Tell your Dad Happy Birthday! My birthday was on Friday, with no POWER so I can "comizarate " with him about that.

Yay power!
You all need to purchase some of Laura of Garden Answers kneeling pad; they have small and large sizes.
We have our own kneeling pads 😊. Sometimes it is just faster to not use a kneeling pad.
Creeping Jenny isn’t hard to manage in my garden. I love to mix it in under slightly taller ground covers. It helps weed suppression.
Sweet

lovely plantings! shame the stairs are placed so wonky on the slope with such uneven spacing and rise. guess we'll see a redo stair video soon.

Why are the steps so far apart? They look nice, but a few more for natural stepping seems safer.
We are very happy with how they are spaced and I explained how and why we placed them like we did in a previous video 😊

No I’m not worried about the possibility of snakes in the plants
So glad to see yall are ok. Do you have or ever used Southern Living's Platinum Beauty lomandra grass/evergreen?
I did, and it’s a gorgeous plant! Unfortunately it’s an annual for me 😢
The steps don't look evenly spaced. It gets harder to "stride" as you age, believe me, I know. Happy to your daddy! Love your TH-cam videos!
We are very happy with how the steps are placed and they work great for our family. 😊
🙋
It looks like the steps are too far apart … but maybe you have explained why already and I just don’t know.
