Baker made a mistake, which I will get to in a minute, but it was TODD BOWLES THAT COST US THIS GAME. Let me explain. Throughout the entire game, Dan Quinn showed complete trust in Jayden Daniels to the point of going for it on every 4th down except 1 which I think they kicked a field goal on before half. Quinn was willing to "succeed or fail" with the ball in Jayden Daniels hand. Baker Mayfield in the 4th qtr was on a 10 consecutive completion streak. The Bucs offense on their last drive was marching down the field. Graham Barton on 3 and 1 on the Commanders 12 yard line, in the redzone, hikes the ball too early and we lose 2 yards on the play. HOWEVER, Here is the REAL REASON why we lost this game. The Bucs have 4th and 3 on the Commanders 14 yard line. We are 14 yards away from the endzone and just 3 yards away from a 1st down. Do you know what Bowles decides to do? He sends out the FG unit to tie the game. He takes the ball out of Bakers hands who just marched down the field 60 yards and into the redzone with a playoff game on the line and was a perfect 10 for 10 on his last 10 throws. Todd Bowles decided with 4+ minutes left to put the game into the hand of his defense, a defense who wasnt able to force the the Commanders to punt once....a commanders team that had 4 possessions of 4 minutes or longer, and scored on all of them except one. THAT is why we lost the game. That was 100% coaching. Bowles decision basically means that on 4th and three he didnt trust Baker Mayfield, Bucky Irving, Mike Evans, Jalen McMillan and his OC Liam Coen. He trusted his defense instead. The bucs lost because Bowles played "not to lose" while Dan Quinn was playing "to win". Anyone blaming a fumble is not even worth listening to. As for Baker, let me get it out of the way; "Baker fumbled the ball on a Jetsweep." Yes, he did. Now I ask you to consider this. Baker had to overcome drops, constant untimely penalties, and lack of offensive possessions because the Bucs defense was on the field most of the game. Now, I dont care what parallel universe you come from, none of them has ever had Baker Mayfield trucking Bobby Wagner in any capacity...ever. Yet, last night on 3rd and 9, down 7pts with just over a minute left before halftime, on his own 27 yard line, Baker Mayfield has no route open beyond the sticks quick enough to pass before the rush pressures him. This dude scrambles, Meets Bobby Wagner at the 1st down marker, lowers the shoulder and absolutely BODIED Bobby Wagner to get past the sticks, then he stumbles for another 8 yards with Percy Butler on his back. Baker proceeds to march down the field and ties the game before halftime. The way folks talk about Baker Mayfield is beyond disrespectful. Are you telling me that the Baker Mayfield who did that during crunch time right before the half, during crunch time last week to win the division, WHY WOULD TODD BOWLES TAKE THE BALL OUT OF MAYFIELD'S HAND WITH THE GAME ON THE LINE? Say what you want about Baker, but Todd Bowles failed this team last night due to his decision making...not some freakish-botched play on the field.
@edwinhernandez2243 I appreciate that. When it came to the game on the line Bowles just showed us that he will play not to lose. Dan Quinn showed us from the Commanders 1st snap of the game, they came to win. A football team takes on the mentality of it's coach....just ask the lions.
@erikleber9178 I appreciate that. The culture and mentality comes from the head coach. Last night showed all of us that Todd Bowles was unwilling to trust Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, Jalen McMillan, Baker Mayfield and OC Liam Coen with the game on the line when you're 3 yards from a 1st down and 14 yards from the endzone. That's worse than any fumble folks. Andy Reid would have never taken the ball outnof Mahomes hand, Dan Campbell would have never taken the ball out of Jared Goff's hand, Sean McDermott would have never taken the ball out of Josh Allen's hands, Dan Quinn showed that he believes in Daniels and refused to take the ball out of his hand. The loss is one thing, but how we lost speaks volumes. Baker didn't decide to Fumble, that's just an unfortunate play that he wished he had back. For Bowles not to trust his OC and the 4th best scoring offense in the league means that he should have been fired this morning.
Thank you guys for the excellent video. I was not having too much optimism after this loss, because unlike last year, I really thought that the Bucs could win 1-3 games in the playoffs. So talking about the positives really helped me trying to be hyped about next season. Calijah Kancey and Vita Vea are the stuff of nightmare in the middle, you can build a whole defence around those two guys. The way I see it, with this explosive offense featuring Mike Evans and Bucky Irving, we are some secondary depth and maybe another quick Edge away from having the possibility to go the distance.
If Bowles stays, then the Bucs have to get 3 starters on defense: edege, corner, and off ball LBer. But in my opinion, they can only get 2. They are going to have to choose between 3 areas in the first 2 draft picks. My opinion is that if they can't trade down for another second, then they will be forced to draft Jihaad Campbell or Mike Green in the first round. Revel could be there at 21, depending on how he is recovering with his injury. This is going to be a tough draft because the need on defense is so great.
Tough lost … if Chris was playin who knows what happens . But they need corners and d line men . Next season I see them winning division again and getting revenge on Washington

You are 💯right and I’ve been a Bucs fan since the 90s I’ve seen this team win both of their SB This was completely on the Coach
100% agree with everything you said.

Why did Cohen stop throwing Evans in the second half?
Poor execution on offense!
Baker Fumble cost us the game 🤦♂️ He blew it just like last year
You've been crying since yesterday in the live comments section.
I know right, he should have known the center was going to snap it early. What a bum.
That wasnt Baker fault that was an OC trying to be cute in his own territory, when you have a rb thats giving you 5 yards a pop
Go watch a different team bud baker are franchise qb
