Volkswagen SA launches its new Polo at Uitenhage plant

Volkswagen SA completed its major investment programme and has launched the new Polo on Thursday at their Uitenhage plant. In 2015 VWSA announced that they would invest 4.5 billion rand in a new product and facilities. But the investment was eventually much more - amounting to 6.1 billion rand. With an additional shift to meet the requirements of making the new Polo, exporting is expected to peak.
