No shame in my game.....I was 10 years old when this chit hit the charts and although I'm totally into the Classic Rock and Grunge Genre, one would have to be a fool not to recognize the greatness of The Bee Gees! This tune takes me way back to a time when life was simple..... the music of the 70s was a special time! Great Reaction my Brother.... don't fight it, just roll with it!

It is so great to see todays generation discover the Bee Gees. Your about to embark on the deepest most enjoyable rabbit hole ever! Thet have been around since about 1958, and Barry, the one on the right will be 75 yo in September and just released a #1 album in the UK. I envy you in a way, because all their music is brand new to you, but then I have a long history of loving these brothers. RIP to Maurice, Robin, and Andy.

Introduced by the legendary, late Natalie Cole (daughter of the incomparable Nat King Cole...), these three Musical Geniuses gave us close to 50 years of Pure Magic...💖💖💖
In this clip, the younger twin Maurice is doing the falsetto part (which they were all great at - except oldest brother Sir Barry Gibb was the one that could do it beyond human comprehension...) - and older twin Robin's voice is shining - as he also gives us a glimpse of his legendary leg kicks (that were slightly off beat...)...😉
GREAT reaction, my friend - it warms my heart to watch upcoming generations as they discover these three talented brothers.
The rabbit hole that's the Bee Gees is deep - enjoy the ride!💕

Dub Zer0, loving this rabbit hole your venturing into. I don't think you'll be disappointed reacting to any Bee Gees song that is requested. They didn't write a bad song in my humble opinion. I'd love for you to react to their earlier performances from the late 60's to the early 70's. Two songs that I always request are both Robin leads. He's Barry's younger brother (by a little over three years) and Maurice's fraternal twin. "I Can't See Nobody" and "I Started a Joke" are two of my favs and he gave great performances for both at their 1974 Melbourne concert but I always request that "Joke" be reacted to using their 1989 "One For All" concert. The performance was just amazing and the crowd rewarded Robin with a standing ovation that lasted nearly a minute! Please consider both songs for future reactions. Can't wait for your next reaction.

Love it. This particular performance is o evof my favorites for a few reasons. It illustrates how good they sound live and that their stage performanceis just as good as the studio. It also highlights both Maurice's voice with the higher moments and Robin singing showing off his falsetto. Often people mistakenly focus and give all the singing credit to Barry. This is a mistake. When you get to Fanny, Barry and Robin both sing the falsetto in unison so perfectly it sounds like one coice, when in faxt it's both of them together (during chorus). Great reaction. Enjoying going along forbthe ride on your Bee Gee journey.
PS- while their catalogue is VAST over several decades, durint this same time period, if you're looking for more that are upbeat might I suggest Staying Alive and Night Fever.

All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, however, Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the most unique falsetto, because in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is rare! They were brothers, & Barry is the last one, but please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed. They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres. ❤️❤

Barry Gibb on The Larry King show February 2, 2002 talked about his first use of falsetto on this song: "It came to me in a dream. There was a request by Arif Martin, who was like an uncle to us, he was a great record producer during the song 'Nights On Broadway,' for the Main Course album, which is previous to the 'Fever' syndrome. And he said, 'Can any of you scream... scream in falsetto.' So, you know, give us an ad lib or a scream at the end. So from screaming, it turned into things like Blaming It All." The first song featuring Gibb's falsetto was 1975's "Nights on Broadway". According to the documentary The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, this song was written as "Lights On Broadway," but Arif Martin told them they needed to "adult it up" a little bit, so they changed the title.

Here I'm again , because this song is in my Top 5 of all Bee Gees (and I am one of those to suggest react this)
    "Nights on Broadway"
It's a fantastic song (from the also fantastic "Main Course" album)
I love when there is alternation in the different voices, Robin's phrases give a fabulous contrast to Barry's leadership, and then Maurice's falsetto appears harmonizing the choruses
But it is also a song with a powerful rhythm and a wonderful melodic bridge with all three in brilliant harmonies.
In my opinion this is the best Bee Gees album, it is the evolution of the transformation started in the previous album, the unjustly forgotten "Mr Natural"
I hope for future videos to these of my interest:
    Mr Natural (1974)
    Come on over (1975)
    they are two beautiful pieces
I leave you a strong hug from my city and country Buenos Aires Argentina
P.S.: don't forgive ABBA in Your reactions, the Swedish pop group that leads the 70s decade

It's sad that Barry Gibb, the one that is the main singer with the highest singing voice is the only one alive. He is going on 75 years old and can still sing high. He currently has a new album out with their songs and he did duets with all country singers. It's quite good and the album just hit #1. Barry said it's the first #1 hit in 40 years.

@@dubzer0649 - I was a teen when they first hit it big internationally in the mid 1960's. Most people think they hit it big with the "disco" era (which they considered R&B) but they were HUGE in the late 1960's and in Australia they were very popular even as kids in the early 1960's. Their earliest big hits were often sung by Robin and sometimes by Barry and Robin together taking turns. Although all three had amazing and very different voices, being brothers when they sang together at times their voices were indistinguishable. All three could sing falsetto but everyone including Barry and Maurice said Robins vibrato was "killer". Robin could also go from high tenor to bass in one line of a song. To hear his voice at its best, please listen to "I Started a Joke" live in Melbourne in 1989. It's a song he wrote about how your behavior and what you say effects others. They were about 40 years old then but still amazing voices. th-cam.com/video/bLy8AkDBSA8/w-d-xo.html

First time using the falsetto as backup vocal in second chorus. This song is when Barry found his falsetto voice. He didn’t know just how much range he had on this song but he soon found out. “FANNY BE TENDER”.
1960’s Bee Gees were love ballads mainly sang by Robin Gibb RIP.
Early 70’s they were getting their funky beat with this song & Jive Talking. “Main Course”album 1977-79 “Saturday Night Fever”. Pick a song you will love it. The 80’s Bee Gees wrote for Diana Ross “Chain Reaction “ Dionne Warwick “Heartbreaker” Barbra Streisand “Guilty” Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton “Islands in the Stream”. That’s just a little bit of information for ya. There is so much more.
May I suggest if you decide to keep reacting to The Bee Gees, it would be great to have a playlist because there are so many songs in their catalog from different genres throughout 5 decades. It’s amazing.
3 brothers with incredible vocal ranges and harmonies but none could read a single note of music. Nothing but talent here. No auto tune at all.
Brilliantly talented songwriters, singers & composers.

MS had so many great performances... love the BG's - especially Robin -- but this video reminded me of a great, unusual performance on MS -- Redbone - doing "Come & Get your love" -- bet you know the song, but if you didn't know their native american background, you would be as surprised as I was as a young teenager-- yet -- if you have time & inclination, I think you will love this one... th-cam.com/video/ahJ6Kh8klM4/w-d-xo.html

A song from that album (Main Course) that I think is an absolute masterpiece from them is Fanny Be Tender (With My Love). Just epic. Highly recommend it. I'm 35 and my mother admittedly pulled me into The Bee Gees and I think they are about 3GB of my 45GB music collection! Their late 60's to early/ mid 70's material (pre-disco) is not to be under estimated either! I've Gotta Get A Message To You is an awesome 60's piece of theirs. The Bee Gees can be a seriously deep rabbit hole.
    To Recap: Fanny Be Tender:

I've Gotta Get A Message To You:
