This second generation on Yamaha building is amazing because is the only of the second genarations that can play 3 octaves. Sad that i am never gonna see one of these playing.
I wonder if Hideaki Anno took inspiration from these sirens while making Evangelion. He always seems to play more classical music during his "end of the world" scenes it seems.
there is a close up recording of the same exact siren playing humoresque, same date as this video. th-cam.com/video/xmbfwE2gnZo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SZle8TkEz52ANm5a
While I have found out that they were supposed some of the these In the USA but it was never going to happen Evan though I found an old article on the map of the music siren by a member of the siren board but it was under a different name Nippon music not Yamaha witch is the current name brand of the Nippon gacki Co and it's was so good to find the article on the USA but it's true that the shipment would have been the first gen four Note models of the siren to play Westminster chimes but it was never going to happen.

There is two more that are inactive

Sadly it had its last operation to test and got removed may rest in peace Yamaha siren
Why though... why they removed that
@@CynessaTheSolver since yamaha ran out of parts for the music sirens, some of them had to be removed or continued to be running until they die.
@@CynessaTheSolverit was removed because the building was demolished, and they didn't want to keep sending crews up to maintain the thing anymore
It was also because the YAMAHA Music Siren was designed to tell time, due to the invention of the watch, they removed most of the YAMAHA Music Sirens
@@CynessaTheSolverApparently they were way too expensive to maintenance and operation.

@@FEDERALSIGNALTECH oh ok
You can’t see it up close. The picture is YAMAHA innovation road which the siren is not mounted there.
This was 5 years ago............ But it still makes me almost cry dispite the fact I learned about them a few months ago
If I were a little older, and knew about this earlier I would’ve volunteered to maintain the sirens, they are pretty simple In their operation
I don’t live in Japan, but it’s on the bucket list
Oh to be awakened by this sirens in the morning
Someone needs to put that stuff in FL Studio
if yamaha brought those back then mostly philippines will be alot different
Sound like some sort of pipe organ or woodwind section.
