  • ''Rugged'' Ronnie Garvin on ''Macho Man'' Randy Savage Fight!
Former NWA World Champion & WWE Superstar ''Hands of Stone'' Rugged Ronnie Garvin discusses a real like fight he had with WWE Hall of Famer ''Macho Man'' Randy Savage in the 1980's. The 2 combatants later put aside their difference and had matches together in Savage's father Angelo Poffo's company.

If he was fighting instead of doing business as promised, he deserved it. And Garvin is just one of several respected pros with stories about Savage. The only stories people tell about Garvin involve him being stiff but cooperative -- so long as you didn't cross him.

Protect the business? Have you not seen the "Plan B" tape from 1979 that he's on with some other wrestlers admitting that wrestling isn't real and that it's all staged? He even called himself an actor.

He should have a MUCH longer run with the NWA title. The fact that he only served the purpose of transitioning between Flair's
title runs is one of the biggest travesties in wrestling history.

Everybody always says Randy was paranoid. Don't forget his father lost his company, at a time when loyalty was held both those companies together. Stuff like that will lay on someone for the rest of their lives, and then there was also the coke. Hey don't be judging it was the 80s baby, if you didn't have a little booger sugar, you might as well just stay in the car, cuz let's face it candy it's dandy.

First off, hitting macho with a steel block while he was already down doesn't constitute ' beating' him.
There are multiple accounts of what happened between savage and hawk, one thing that is consistent is that during their first encounter hawk suckered randy and randy went out to work his match. Then in the second encounter Macho handed hawk his ass!

Ronnie was tight and like others to sell for him but he was to hard headed to give and take and sell a little back. He seemed really stiff and hard headed to try to work with. Some wrestlers like short guys like ronnie had that little man syndrone trying to prove themselves when they don't need to .
