  • I've been doing subcutaneous injections, instead of IM injections, for a while now, and it is going fine. Here are the details about how it works and what my experience has been.

I’ve never had any soreness with subq, in case anyone wants to try it out! Nice to see you, hope you’re doing well!

Hey Alan! I’m just here to say thank you because I really related to your video from back in 2014 called “How I did not know I was trans.” As well, I’m glad subQ is working for you! Have a great day!

That's awesome you are doing well with intramuscular. I've done patches, gel and intramuscular and only intermuscular works for me

I know what you mean about injections into your stomach being unnerving because of the fear of hitting organs, I had the exact same reaction! I just got these nightmare images if hitting intestine or stomach, bleugh no.
So for SubQ I did thigh, mostly because for IM I did hip, so it's not a million miles off.
Anyway, thanks for the update, always a nice surprise when one of your videos pops up in my subscriptions.

I've always used subQ & my levels have been great. I do take the injections every 3.5 days. My doctor says the subQ injection absorbs better. That feels right to me.

huh, that's so interesting to hear that your doctor said subQ absorbs better. That's good to hear! but ouch, that's so many shots!!! better you than me! haha ;) I hope you're well, dude!

It’s really interesting to hear your experience with subq shots. I’ve always been on subq shots and I do them in my stomach and have never had any issues with pain afterwards or anything. I didn’t know that was an issue with subq. I do my shots weekly and I don’t think I notice any difference in myself emotionally or physically the day after my shot vs when I’m due for my next shot. I have a few friends from the uk who have their shots once a month or every 3 weeks and they can definitely tell when they’re due for their next shot but I’m lucky to never have had that issue.

that's cool. I have also never had issues with feeling different when I am due for a shot, and I have always done them weekly.
