This was the best most simplified video I've found on TH-cam that explains the measured increments and how to read syringes. Thank you so much for this video and for teaching it so well. Love Love :))
This was helpful, the vet sent me home with some meds for my dog not being sure looked this up was quite chuffed I got it Thx very helpful this a keeper for sure 😊❤
I'm in training as a dialysis technician and I noticed that drawing heparin was one of my weaknesses. This video helped me out a lot! Now I can go in tomorrow at my clinic and kick some major heparin butt. Thank you so much, you have no idea how well this video has cleared things up for me.
I am a student of korlebu nursing school, Ghana. Thanks so much, and God richly bless u. Indeed I understood everything you taught. Long life and prosperity be your portion
It’s so much complicated, but you still make it easy. You are the best instructor! Thank you so much for taking the time to illustrate and explain all this. May the almighty Allah grant you goodness and mercy ❤
Mr. Farquharson, this was foremost the absolute best informative video on syringes. I love how you broke it down step-by-step. Please make more. This are extremely helpful for us. Thank you.
This helps me greatly, my husband now can't read well & he needed my help to read it & I'm like 😰, so glad found this to help him, much easier than the others. I'm feeling more "PHEW" Awesome! I just looked at his syringes, his finishes at 50. Only difference is his starts after the zero is 5, 10, 15, 20.
I'm on externship and the nursing supervisor was grilling me about an insulin syringe and I wasn't prepared.... I watched this video and now in ready for her. Thanks for your help!
you are the best! I wish you were my chemistry teacher. I think if we had teacher's explaining things like you, our American students would have performed better in math and science compared to the rest of the world. great job sir.
This is an EXCELLENT video, especially for allied health students who are learning primarily remote due to COVID. My medical assisting students are watching this today to help them get comfortable with syringe reading before they go to the skills lab on campus tomorrow. Kudos!
BEST and most easily understandable lesson on reading syringes! Very quick and easy to remember. Thank you very much! I test tomorrow for an MA position and this will help me succeed!👍💉☑😁
2019 I was in class and my professor was lecturing about this and I followed along and briefly understood it but not completely I still didn't understand how to read the smaller lines. I went back over the lecture notes only to realize we may have went over them but my professor hadn't wrote anything down, which was fine so I went through my textbook and my text didn't do much explaining either. Which later on, I remembered that is what my professor said as I had stayed a few minutes the class ended to ask questions. I'm glad I found this video because it does fill in the gaps I had been missing during the lecture and I feel a lot more comfortable on the subject! So thank you for this even though it's an older video it still applies today!✍🏽😁😆👍🏽💯
I'm pregnant and also a diabetic so my doctor decided to change my insulin and I did not know how to get 0.14 ml, 0.03 ml and 0.10 ml of a regular 100 units syringe thanks for your video I was able to read my syringe properly and now I'm confident that I'm getting the right dosage. thank you so much for your video the way you explained it was extremely easy to understand.

This video was awesome. I could grasp reading syringes which keeps me from passing my dosage calculations exams. won't be failing anymore, this video was awesome. I am a visual learner so using the 3 step method had me reading thesyringes used in the demonstrations within 5 minutes. Thanks for doing this video. KG
I'm undergrad in vet tech program, this video helped so much. I Did Have Some Trouble with The 5mL but I went back and tried it again. Awesome video. It's going to help me in my classes.

Thanks a lot! We all need this kind of knowledge, not only in the medical field but in things like measuring plant food or others. Today I have learned something else, and very valuable.
Thank you so much, haven't done IM in over 25 years. This was important for me because I got invited back to interview, so this is going to be on my next interview. Thank you for the brush up!

Oh my goodness. Thank you so much. I am a 4th semester nursing student and have struggled so with reading syringes. LOL who knew that all those little lines did NOT have the same value? Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Very helpful! I have to give my dog B12 injections at home and I wasn't sure how to measure 1mL: do I line up the graduated number by the cone? Now I know. Thanks.
Thank you for this video! The cone-shaped top of the stopper and which part of it to use to get the proper dose had thrown me off. Now it’s all crystal clear.
Thank you SO much! It was a really big help to me! A real life saver. It was the only video to actually explain exactly what I wanted to know. God bless and keep up the good work.
I am just about to begin measuring liquids using a syringe tank you so much this video was exactly what I needed to learn before beginning. Thank you so much.
This video is awesome! I do a self injection each week and they told me to lower from 0.4 ml to 0.3 ml, and I was confused since I just pulled to a certain line without really knowing. Very thankful for this video!
my doubt is when we use drawing needle and replacing with injecting needle. how much drug we loose when we change the drawing needle which has some drug in it?
OK quick question.. So the medicine is always measured with the needle facing up? What about the medicine that is in the needle, and the extra clear plastic part of the needle that holds to the syringe? So.. When measuring.. Do we draw the plunger back and tap on the needle so that all the medicine drops below to the first line? Removing everything above the first line with the needle facing up? This would be for my testosterone injection. I want to make sure my dosage is exactly what is prescribed. Thank you
Thanks!
Thank you for your support!
