My sister is wanting to install one of these kits, so here I am searching TH-cam. Great job on the mini excavator. It made me smile because I was remembering teaching my two daughters how to operate one when we were building our log home.
Yea! Thank you for posting a long form video! You are a talented teacher and short form videos don’t highlight your wonderful teaching ability. I’m excited for the pool series.
Thats pretty awesome to watch how the beginning process takes place. Thats a lot of work! Im sure itll all be worth it especially since the entire family is included in the building process. Nice fence too btw! Great stuff!!
I was watching your video and thinking that looks like Utah! Then I saw your Timp rental mini digger and went AHA! it IS Utah! We love in Lehi for years. Great video! We moved out to spring city and are ready for swimming! Thanks for all the info!
Holly .I am about to get my tarpon pool done and the process is insane. I will never ever try to do this myself /or friends /family. Congrats to those who can !
Sue Wolfe- The cost of the build is WAY cheaper than what my son paid for his pool. I know it was a little of work, but in the long run, worth the hard work!! I hope you're enjoying it this summer!!👏💪⛱️🏊♂️❤️
Wow… nice job! So impressive to see you take this on. And great job on the video! (Also, fun to see the Timp Rental logo in your video. They’re great to work with!)
Love the video, i actually am about to order my pool from royal as well, i was quoted 92k for a inground pool, decided to DIY, looking forward to the rest of the series!!!!!
Yaaassssss!!!! I have been looking all through TH-cam for a female pool DIY-ER😂😂 Can wait to see the results so I can see/hear your final working and your thoughts so I can start mine!!
great effort, waiting to see part 3 after which I want to do it as well. Which state are u in? i thought they mandate a licensed swimming pool contractor to build it, no?
Just found you and you are so inspiring! Great teacher too! I’m using your videos to convince my husband we can DIY a pool too lol! If possible- can you post approximately how long each step took? Excavation, shell installation etc. I’m wondering if we need to wait til next year or can we make it before winter this year .
This is such a hard question because we had so many delays with back order then with weather and an extremely long winter haha. I feel like each step was about a week except for the wall installation, that took a lot longer because I worked alone and had to get each section level. If you have time to really devote days to it I’d say 6-8 weeks. If you have a life and are trying to do it around other things (day job, mom life etc) id say closer to 8-10 weeks
My advice would be don’t worry about it too much on excavation. Get it within a few inches and you can fix the slope when you put in the poolkrete. I just measured each angle bases on the top of the pool wall and 6ft bottom. I had a paper design and just cut the dirt to match those
A pool this size should have two lights. It looks so good at night and also just makes more sense lol. I mean one light will do the job but 2 at least would of been better for sure

Second career opportunity as an Excavator Operator?
haha I did enjoy driving that thing! ha Thanks
Looks great❤
Thank you 😋
Im pretty interested to know if you think a fence is harder to install than a vinyl pool?
great effort, waiting to see part 3 after which I want to do it as well. Which state are u in? i thought they mandate a licensed swimming pool contractor to build it, no?
We are in Utah and we did need to have a permit from the city and approval from our HOA but we got those before hand.
You are amazing, why no one helps you ? Or they do just now showing ?
Please use this technique to build a megalithic, polygonal constructed wall like they did back in the day.
Great job is less of a complement.

Stumbled upon your video for the first time. I'm guessing this is in either southern Salt Lake County or Utah County?
Impressive
Hello, I’m doing 20by50 in ground pool. How did you get your slope down to the deep end at the right angle?
My advice would be don’t worry about it too much on excavation. Get it within a few inches and you can fix the slope when you put in the poolkrete. I just measured each angle bases on the top of the pool wall and 6ft bottom. I had a paper design and just cut the dirt to match those
Is part two already out?
Not yet hoping to have it out next week! Make sure to check back for that one!
I have to ask. Did you find a prehistoric Brendan Fraser?
HAHA "no wheezin the juice" lol sadly no Brenden
@@EternalHarvestDecor thank you! I feel so validated! I'm looking forward to the next part. DIY all the things!

I love my husband and I love doing this stuff more than he does. So we are a good match 🙌🏼 thanks for watching ❤️😊
