Austin is from southern Georgia so his accent comes through. Tim is from SE Texas and also has the southern accent. But the part you were questioning was all Austin. Great reaction! 😎👍

Tim says he did that wah-wah sound in the studio & they were all, "We're using that!" Then he realized he'd have to reproduce that sound every time they sing it live. Some of the earlier fan recordings of it, you can see him very chagrined about it.
Completely off topic of the singing, but I love that suit jacket off Austin's.

@@nikelodeon6852 Just because Tim doesn’t use those techniques, doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to use them. It’s well known that when Tim and Geoff met on the “Sing-Off”, Geoff was unable to go as low as Tim. They became friends and Geoff asked Tim to help him expand his vocal range. Tim did the same thing for Avi prior to him joining PTX. I’m not saying that Tim taught either of them everything, he just helped with the raw talent that was there. Tim has been in the a cappella world for a long time and is older than the other guys. It makes sense that they would look to him as a mentor of sorts, just as he would have looked to someone else. I say Tim is the most talented for a variety of reasons…his 6 octave range, the quality of his voice, his song writing, his arranging, his teaching, and he’s just a darn good guy!

@@nikelodeon6852 if you had taken the time to actually read my post thoroughly and not jump on anyone whose opinion differs with yours, you would know that my message was not combative in any way and actually agreed with you on certain points. Tim Foust is the one who says he has a 6 octave range, and I would think that the artist himself would know better than anyone else what his capabilities are. So, if you want to call me a liar, you are calling Tim a liar! I didn’t say that Tim taught Geoff how to do subharmonics. What I said is that just because Tim doesn’t use the technique, doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to use it. What I said was that Tim helped Geoff extend his vocal range. I think it’s great that you are invested in Geoff and he is a great talent, but please don’t go around calling people liars and being combative when their opinion differs from yours. I’ve been a Home Fry for many years and I know that’s not what those guys stand for, and I know that they are good friends with Voice Play, so I’m hoping they have the same ethics. Please do not reply again. I have no wish to continue this discussion with you, I just wanted to make sure you are aware that even though it’s not face to face, it isn’t polite to call someone a liar. Thank you.

Tim started the Let's Get in On section & his range is crazy. And you are so right that Tim is the best bass out there right now because it is so natural. He even talks low. Avi also is a smooth bass. Geoff is a baritone who has learned techniques to get low. Love Adam's vocal percussion as always. He is so good at it that you forget there are no instruments. No, that was Austin. Tim's solo starts with, the deep, let's get it on. Tim has a range of 5 Octaves. He can hit the lowest note on a regular piano! If you didn't know Austin's dad was a gospel singer.

The beauty of music is it crosses boundaries and brings many different people together who otherwise paths may never have crossed. It makes no difference one’s political views. Be you my friend! Your personality is golden!

Thank you! Tim has a 5 + octave vocal range. Wait till you hear his original songs Land of the Free and Snow Globe! 🤯. Chris and Adam Rupp are responsible for the Butts Remix that us Home Fries love. Chris is my favorite tenor and is hilarious! 😂

The part you're questioning if it's Tim...it is actually Austin. Austin in from south Georgia so he has a southern accent. He's from Tifton, Ga...just 20 miles from me.
