- This is my first take on the faux bang so many of you have asked for. It is somewhere between a suicide bang and a bumper bang. I will have more variations of a faux bang in the future. But this is an easy one for beginners!

@Maddy8786 That is good-- it means they will last longer. Just give them a good brushing and they will relax. Using a bigger barrel will make less permanent curls.

@MakeupAndSkin I only shampoo every few days and I condition a ton! And use heat protectant spray!

It is actually easier with long-ish bangs to form the barrel. But you can do it on any length with practice.

Usually just a smoothing serum when it is damp. I don't use a whole lot of product in general.

@violentcello I don't prep with anything, but I never do vintage styles on clean hair. You need a days worth of oil to keep volume.

Try doing the faux bangs by teasing and then rolling the way I did in my bumber bang tutorial. It is harder to do it this way with really long hair.
@PigletChrys @foreverxme1 Yeah, my rosie the riveter starts similarly, but they end result is very different.
