Thanks babes. you did great with the camera. Yes I hope this will help lots of people. I know these things are hard to sprout. I'm thrilled one came up in 5 days. That's insane.
I know. They're so tiny right now and look nothing like the mature adults. Seven years. I hope they go by fast for my first flower. I hope I can keep them alive this long. I realized Randy was laughing when I said I was going to try with the mooshy ones anyway. And they died so he was right to laugh. Harley's a sweety.
Everything's dormant right now. Just a bunch of pots with soil. They'll come back probably in spring. You can see them as trees in other garden updates I have made.
I'm very excited. All have sprouted but I have now potted them and am waiting for them to break the surface. I will make an update soon. This method of sprouting worked amazing for me. It was 5 days to two weeks for sure.
Have those guys put out full petioles yet? I find pro-mix with some added perlite seems to get the best results to maximize root growth. A couple months ago, some massive petioles rose up to nearly 3ft tall by over 1 inch in diameter, but last week I was able to divide off about a dozen offsets characterized by much smaller petioles than the main petiole growth point. Now that it's been raining more in Hawaii, looks like I'm getting another wave of petioles, some looking pretty big.
Yes and you found my video where I show that. My two oldest ones have started making a second leaf. I'm giving them time release fertilizer. Hopefully that will work and they will become big. Did you change your name or channel? Sorry if I'm confusing you with another grower.
Scary fear l only have Amorphophallus commutatus but now I will plant Amorphophallus titanum seeds . Can you give me new tips about how to grow titan arum from seeds. I will surely buy titan arum seeds.
I got mine on Ebay too, but from another grower. Don't trust the ones that are saying things like 50 or more seeds. Those are scams and will send you vegetable seeds. No one sells that many for that cheap. If they use photos from google image and not real photos they took themselves don't trust them. There are so many plant scammers out there.
I was happy to help you with this!
I think this would be a very useful tutorial for others for this lesser known plant. So unique!
Thanks babes. you did great with the camera.

It's amazing that these will grow into something so big. And also more cute bird commentary from Randy, Harley, and the dove.

They will grow pretty fast once they get up to about 2-3 inches since they will expend all the energy in the seed.

Where did you buy your seed?
Oh Ebay.
I would love to know where I can buy seeds, it seems everywhere has sold out!
I've gotten mine from Ebay, other growers or seeds I have grown myself.
I have a question for you .Can we grow titan arum seed in peat moss
Hi there. I wouldn't. Peat retains too much moisture and could rot the seeds out.
