Do you have any issues with this mic adapter? My session 5 do not recognize external mic. Do you have to update any firmware or something? Not sure what is mic setting to make it work.

A year later, so not worried if you don't answer. I just got the mic adapter, did everything you said, can't get the mic to work to save my life. Truly a waste of 50 bucks.
Mic worked with mine no problem, I know that those gopro adapters are finicky and they only take certain mics. I have been through a couple of these setups and they have always worked
Does the chin mount angle work well with sportbikes? I feel like the camera would just be recording the tank since you're kinda tucked. Love the helmet BTW, I have the batman version
You could always just angle the position, for a sport bike I would recommend finding the position open down and making sure that you use SuperView since it adds extra size not only left and right but up and down as well to get the handlebars and the road
those session 5's are hard to come by now because fpv drone pilots like to use them. and if you do find one second hand make sure its not been on an fpv drone as it will have been crashed over and over again
@@GromGarage OK but when riding on a trip sometimes you want to record for a moment. Reaching for the camera to fiddle with it to turn it on and setup will get you killed fairly quickly. Since the dumb things have voice commands it would really be nice if that worked. It's quite reliable with the media mod mic (works 100%) but on the bike you need an external mic, and then things go to crap with the voice commands. Sad.
Yes, sena sells a back that attaches to the gopro... but I warn you, the audio quality is terrible. If you want to hear the audio quality you can watch the first 10-15 videos I made motovlogging

I have mine updated but those adapters suck ass. I’m on my third one. Literally where all my TH-cam money goes

It should work with what ever from where are you going have have. Go pro just sucks.

@@batdude2196 I just click the record button on the top of the Hero 8. It automatically turns on in record mode.
That's a lot of stuff on your helmet do you feel comfortable with all of that? I think a GoPro on my chin it's too much on my helmet
It’s not that bad. Only feel the weight increase a little but after 2 minutes you forget about it

We have never purchased a session 4. The session 5 is what we all use because it has stabilization and we have been told that the 4 has some issues
