It's one of my favorite coasters in the park. Unfortunately we witnessed a mom and her two kids get stuck on it though when the wheels locked up. They sat there awhile before they got it going again. The mother was very upset and crying when she got off. And sadly there was no management or anyone there to make sure she was okay or apologize.
I've never heard of wheels locking up on a coaster. I'm guessing the chain lift either stopped, they were stopped on brakes, or they didn't have enough momentum and "anti rollbacks" took hold. Either way they were perfectly safe though I get that sort of thing can terrify people. Management doesn't really need to apologize or anything because these things happen all the time. Though I've had the opposite experience when I got stuck on Hoosier Hurricanes lift. They apologized and gave us a bottle of water and a free t-shirt. Maybe they just caught the park on a bad day.
I mean the work should have made sure she was ok, but people freak out on coasters when they get stuck. They act like they are going to die, when in reality if it’s stopping it means it’s keeping you safe and working properly
Wish they would just rip out the water park. Is anyone even going there for it? It's a nice little bonus when you visit but it's far from anything special. Ripping it out and expanding the amusement park into that area would probably draw more money in.
This is still a great ride, even if Galaxi was better. It's the nostalgia that makes me love this thing.

Me just realizing that Indiana beach was getting a new coaster for this year (I knew about American drier)
Their is a reason they ditched the old ride. People were throwing inner tubes and other sht at the trains waiting in line for the slide.
