Love Indiana Beach and thank you to the new owners for saving her from the wrecking ball! This park deserves the love and I hope she is open for generations in the future.
This park is genuinely a hidden gem. With how far away it is from the interstate, a person wouldn't expect it to be as well rounded of a park as it is. I am so glad it was saved from being closed.
@@boomicu it doesn't ever really get they busy, but the busiest I've seen it was memorial day weekend and also around 4th of July so try to avoid those maybe
I appreciate that you talked about the flat rides, waterpark, and other attractions. A lot of time when other coaster enthusiasts review a park, it ends up as mostly a review on their coasters and they skip everything else.
It wasn't mentioned, but Indiana Beach is close to turning 100! Thank you to the new owner that is returning this park to its old glory. I've been going there for 40 years and it is so great to see the constant improvements the last couple years. The Cornball Express is one of the most underrated coasters out there. The last car gives an amazing ride.
“Elevated straight track” is one of my favorite underrated features. Great views, a chance to feel speed differently and anticipation as you see what’s coming up ahead. I think it’s what makes Hoosier Hurricaine such a visual masterpiece. And in 2022, a rarity. Brilliant review!
When I rode cornball in the back row, I was shocked at how powerful it was, especially that tiny drop. That drop is still one of the most insane drops I've experienced. That coaster catches me off guard every time I ride it. On top of that, the park has this carnival feel to it which makes IB just pure fun. In fact I made a coaster on my channel named Cornstalker that is inspired from Cornball Express just because I love that ride so much. Also love your channel ZCR, keep up the good work!
South Suspension Bridge all the way! And 100% agree with all your coaster takes which I don’t feel is super common for this park. Amazing video as always!
Loved this review! The park is a gem and you touched on several things that make it special. I loved your narration too! Fun personality and enthusiasm!
"Cornball Express...more like Hoosier daddy" 🤣 I lost it! TH-cam finally suggested something I like! Great channel, just found you, but best believe I subbed and will be back!!! Mwahahahaha 😎👍🤘
You have a great talent, dude. Keep it up! Outstanding production value, and dig the humor. I was always curious about Indiana Beach when I used to live in Illinois (SFGA is also my home park). Now I live in Florida, but I REALLY wanna check it out!!!
I like how you included other rides (and food) and not just the coasters, makes a pleasant change from other coaster reviewers who often ignore everything else a park has to offer. Great job, new subscriber
go there when they do Halloween, its starts sometime in October, they add another haunted house and I remember 3 zones, I think they were zombie, pirate, and witches. they cover up there bumper cars and bring in a smoke machine so the bumper carts are glow in the dark with smoke, really cool Halloween event
On my last ride on Cornball, I inadvertently created a new, fun game. Ride the back row, hopefully the right side, and just hold your feet up. You will completely float off the train on multiple spots. It had me giggling like a fool. IB is legit a great place to have a fun time.
yo i just wanna say that my husband and i have been watching your videos on loop for a while now, we pretty much just love you lmao. never lose the quality of your vids yo, i’ll watch you over any other thoosie any day.
Engagement comment!! This is my local park and you did a fantastic job breaking it down. Glad you found The Bridge! That's the only way to enter, especially for the kids.
I've been going to this weird wonderful place since the Hoosier Hurricane opened in 94. So glad someone was able to save it, it would have been a huge loss to theme park culture.
Indiana Beach is my home park and I'm so glad to see their new owners are treating it well!! I've since moved out of Indiana which leaves me those memories of that era of the park where none of the animatronics don't work, Splash Battle was sitting there growing algae, Superstition Mountain is closed yet again, and for some reason there were staff nowhere to be seen. Superstition Mountain (for some reason growing up we all called it Lost Coaster?) always will have the fondest memories for me personally, since every so often you'd get that super ride op who made it all worth it. Getting to ride the ride after sundown AND backwards was my favorite experience!
The park used to have pretty music big acts visiting during the 50s and 60s. Back when smaller venues were still in the rotation for top 40 acts. It was a place the bands could hit up in between the bigger cities.
Ride Hoosier Hurricane in car 4, row 1. This is a magic seat. Is it the best airtime in he world? No, but it's still better than the back. 2. Lost Coaster has a new Dynamite Willy (the guy who blows you up) animatronic. It used to be a skeleton, but now it is an Albert Einstein lookalike that moves violently. 3. All of the Woodies at this park had track work. This is especially noticable on Cornball Express, which is a much smoother ride. Great video! Definitely subscribing.
Dynamite willie has always been the same animatronic. His original head was removed because his face was falling off so it was sent out to get a new mask made. While the old head was gone, we took a random head from another character in the mountain and put it on him, but we couldn’t turn on his movement because otherwise the new head would just fall off…. Very recently (about a month ago) we got his old head back and so it was reattached and now he moves again. That’s the situation.. willie still looks like shit because his new mask isn’t done, but it should hopefully be done by the end of the season.
Grew up going here and absolute love this park. Don’t be confused, this park is not run down. But it is severely understaffed which leads to random ride closings for entire days. It is definitely a great park though. It has a decent number of rides, plenty of food choices, plenty of carnival games, and ride waits are 0-5 minutes pretty much every day. It’s great.
I grew up out there.. My first job was at the age of 14 working out there picking up trash.. there are so many rides I miss that they don't have anymore. Like the Galaxy Coaster that was under the water slides for the water park. The last time I was out there, they still had the sign for it but the Coaster was gone..
@@ZeroCreditsRemaining I saw.. For what ever reason, I went down a TH-cam hole of Indiana Beach. I haven't been out there since the newest owner has bought it. That place will always been my childhood. Maybe next year I will go out there. Also, I think why your GPS wanted to take you to the Steel Hog area is because that used to be the Main Entrance (also known as the north entrance) back when the Spackman's own it. Sometime after they sold it, one of the owners slowly change the south Entrance to become the Main Entrance.
I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to the park last June also. The setting on Lake Schaefer made for an incredibly unique atmosphere, and the ride lineup felt very special because of how the rides were all placed onto the boardwalk around or on top of each other. There were some hiccups like the rides not opening until an hour after park opening and the coasters only running one car or train, but it wasn't enough to run are day. I am definitely returning sooner rather than later because All American Triple Loop never opened.
They just need a gardener honestly and to paint the cement. Some more lights. I love how they’re evolving though because it’s a weird park that deserves to be further developed.
I got stuck on the lost coster the first one I guess but first the brakes stoped working then the buttons stoped working then I got stuck BUT THEY STILLED PUT OTHER PEOPLE ON THE RIDE
as well as a roller coaster enthusiast, i am somewhat of a mexican food enthusiast, and heres a tip to make some world class tacos: while cooking the meat, (specifically ground beef) fill whatever you use to cook it, for example a pan, with water. i know it sounds super weird, and no, theres no trick with it, just fill it with water until it all evaporates and you’re left with the meat and nothing else. it will take a little while for all the water to evaporate, but trust me, the finishing result will be amazing. feel free to steal my recipe and give it to other people as well, it will improve your tacos by 1000%
I love that "dumb coaster" too, 😆. Okay, we got semi stuck on that coaster too. They have definitely had issues with the speed but it was hit and miss. We did have the pleasure of seeing another completely stopped in the middle of the track. The maintenance is definitely on it though. I've never seen such quickness before.
Funny story. We went back this past weekend and this very obnoxious family that was behind us earlier for the cyclone, decided to ride 3 and 3....they got stuck. We were next in line and should have been on it, which I prayed we wouldn't have to ride with them, whew. It took 6 staff to remove them because they were throwing a fit. Karma baby, karma. We stayed in line hoping they would get it back up and running but it took a day and half so we hit up the Cornball Express.
I haven’t been here in forever (since I was like 8) and I honestly can’t wait to go back. I’ll probably go next year when drier looping opens but I love the quirky atmosphere of it. Also I love that we have 2 falling stars less than 4 hours from us
Don't be knocking on the Tig rr, best coaster in the park! Others might be taller, they might be faster, but the first time you get a youngster/ or even better those that don't like roller coasters to ride the Tig rr you can't get them off of her.
Grew up as a seasonal camper at Indiana Beach and spending a lot of time at the boardwalk. Worked as a rides employee there in 2011 and was working the Hoosier Hurricane when it went down once. The train was stuck just around the corner from where you get off. Maintenance walked out on this little plank with just a small rail on the side and evacuated all the riders on this. You couldn’t pay me to walk out on that.
Here, people say MontiSello. Where you parked, there's also picnic shelters, so you don't have to buy overpriced park food if you don't care to and would rather bring your own food.
Indiana beach is lowkey kinda fire. No one goes so it’s so nice because no lines so you can literally just stay in your seat and ride as much as you want, my friend got on cornball express for 20 rides or so
Went here nearly every summer growing up. We'd camp and the grandparents would get a room at the big chief as the HQ. Pretty much the only rules it felt was to make sure we brought 2 elephant ears back at the end of the night to our grandpa. Grandma you could always find playing fascination because it was the one place that had AC. I would scope the chicks and ride those swings all day. I remember when they opened the cornball express, that was nuts. They use to have this thing called chaos as well that was intense.
In my opinion, Steel Hawg is a beginner's introduction to inversions. If you're not sure how you feel about going upside down, Steel Hawg is a very forgiving ride to start with.
I disagree because Steel Hawg is all hangtime. Most inversions force you down into your seat and if you close your eyes you'll barely notice you're upside down. The first inversion just hangs you for a few seconds which I think would scare a newbie coaster rider.
You miss a lot. Bumper Cars, Horror shooting gallery, the arcade with many pinball machines, Antique Car rides, The train ride, The kids amusement park rides, Some of the carnival games, and much more. That popcorn that you seen. You can feed a bunch of carp fish, near the coaster, I guess wasn't there at the time. The old Galaxi coaster now call Cyclone. You miss a lot, hope you visit again and fill in the spots that you didn't mention here. I'm going tomorrow at Indiana Beach.
The tacos used to be much better. When the new owner came he had a new copanie do them. If you want to try the originals there is a shop in downtown monticello
I don't think IB isn't as advertised as much as it used to back in the 90's Tickets were selling at all time high before they closed down in 2020. Under new ownership I think they should advertise it more so to bring in more revenue as it is more of a tourist spot still to this day people can keep coming in since the Original family who built it wanted to keep people coming for a place to swim and have fun. Holiday World advertises their park yearly and with summer ticket sales they are not short of money or fun.
I valleyed (vallied???) on Jack Rabbit at Kennywood in the station and the employees also had to push the train out of the station. It was ride ops though, not even technicians. Good old classic amusement parks.

I might not always sit all the way back in the seat, but I'll push it down all the way if the op doesn't. That's different from being squeezed into your seat like a tube of toothpaste though, I avoid that if I can, lol.
I just went back last week. The pizza is better now!! Or I went on an off day. The crust still had “kids birthday party” flavor lol but overall much better.
Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain is so bizarre it deserves multiple coaster credits. A separate credit just for riding in the rear car facing backwards. For those in the know, it's LoCoSuMo.
This would be a GREAT choice for everything besides coasters. If you’re trying to get them to try coasters, I’d look for somewhere with junior coasters. Kings Island and Great America have some. Good luck on your search. :)
Wonderful stuff. Always been fCinated by IB but sadly never made trip. Maybe someday will. You should do review like this for Mt Olympus in dells soon. But for real, wish your channel bigger. Your sense of humor clicks with me really well
Important correction: unicorn clock.
You sure it wasn’t Unicorn Co-
Glock
Which seat should i put my fat friends on to not get stuck on lost coaster?
CCI is making a metal one now and its very fun

My home park, and I am in love with this videoooooooo
We loves this park!!!!
You let ops staple you??
I might not always sit all the way back in the seat, but I'll push it down all the way if the op doesn't. That's different from being squeezed into your seat like a tube of toothpaste though, I avoid that if I can, lol.
I was there 3 weeks ago. I liked the pizza! Cornball Express is a great little ride.
I just went back last week. The pizza is better now!! Or I went on an off day. The crust still had “kids birthday party” flavor lol but overall much better.
It’s not skeptical, I go there every year since I was born, it’s a very fun place
Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain is so bizarre it deserves multiple coaster credits. A separate credit just for riding in the rear car facing backwards. For those in the know, it's LoCoSuMo.
Trying to decide what theme park I should take my kids too so I've been watching all kinds of TH-cam videos. (My kids aren't big on rollercoasters)
This would be a GREAT choice for everything besides coasters. If you’re trying to get them to try coasters, I’d look for somewhere with junior coasters. Kings Island and Great America have some. Good luck on your search. :)
THATS RIGHT INDIANA BEACH LOCATED ON BEAUTIFUL LAKE SCHAFFER IN MONTICELLO INDIANA PROVING ONCE MORE THERES MORE THAN CORN IN INDIANA!!
The Guys on break 4 have been for as long as i remember, for that reason only. 😆
I’m supposed to be going here in a few days, Im really excited before I’ve never been here
O shit it’s me at 2:13
you need to go back during the Halloween weekends in October!
Yes I do! :0
Love this video. Love this channel. Love Dat content! 🙌
Wonderful stuff. Always been fCinated by IB but sadly never made trip. Maybe someday will. You should do review like this for Mt Olympus in dells soon.
But for real, wish your channel bigger. Your sense of humor clicks with me really well
It looks like a good park just cuz half of the stuff is probably illegal at any other park
I never knew Alan Schilke designed Steel Hawg. I see a SFGA Goliath inversion element in Steel Hawg.
Yes!! The dive loop! And it stalls upside down for a while too.
Lmao!!!!! I went to school with the two chicks at 5:35! The one with the bison shirt and her sister in front of her !! wtf lol
