A neighbor and I used to make a concoction in a bucket that we called “Super, Dooper, Poison Blow-up Soup”(dirt, water, worms, bugs, pine cones and needles, and anything else we could scrape up out of the rock garden). Nope, we didn’t eat it!!! 🤮

Seeing Yvonne & Queen Uniek in the Arena made me think of something. How marvelous would it be if we could see Yvonne & Uniek do a Dressage routine! Just once. I wonder if Uniek remembers how to do it. Is she too old, or is her arthritis too painful for her to do some side steps for us? Perhaps a Freestyle, rather than the whole, complicated, mandated routine required in a competition. I just wonder if it's possible. @@lisajoyaslanis I only thought of Uniek because right before her accident, Yvonne was competing in Dressage with Reintje. There are lots of videos on the channel of Reintje performing. Uniek, on the other hand, is 17 years old. She hasn't competed in many, many years; but when she did, she was good enough to win a Sport predicate. Over this past year, Yvonne DID post a very old video of herself and Uniek in competition, but it happened so long ago, I wonder if Uniek still remembers how to do it. Will her arthritic legs allow her to do it? That's why I wondered about it, and would love to see it. Have you ever watched those Dressage freestyles with music? That's what I'd love to see. Uniek in a freestyle to one of Yvonne's favorite songs. It could be a very short dance, and if Uniek makes a mistake, who cares? Seeing such a video has just been a dream of mine ever since I saw Uniek dancing in her stall on the day that they brought Rising Star, the day old foal to her. Ah, the memories.

How marvelous would it be if we could see Yvonne & Uniek do a Dressage routine! Just once. I wonder if Uniek remembers how to do it.
Is she too old, or is her arthritis too painful for her to do some side steps for us? Perhaps a Freestyle, rather than the whole, complicated, mandated routine required in a competition. I just wonder if it's possible. I'd truly love to see our Uniek so happy she would dance.

I only thought of Uniek because right before her accident, Yvonne was competing in Dressage with Reintje. There are lots of videos on the channel of Reintje performing.
Uniek, on the other hand, is 17 years old. She hasn't competed in many, many years; but when she did, she was good enough to win a Sport predicate. Over this past year, Yvonne DID post a very old video of herself and Uniek in competition, but it happened so long ago, I wonder if Uniek still remembers how to do it. Will her arthritic legs allow her to do it?
That's why I wondered about it, and would love to see it. Have you ever watched those Dressage freestyles with music? That's what I'd love to see. Uniek in a freestyle to one of Yvonne's favorite songs. It could be a very short dance, and if Uniek makes a mistake, who cares?
Seeing such a video has just been a dream of mine ever since I saw Uniek dancing in her stall on the day that they brought Rising Star, the day old foal to her. Ah, the memories.
