    when Dean lets go of the fly line to reset his hands and reaches 18-24" before reestablishing contact, i panic every time. looks like hes got it under control but it just goes against all i know. well done fellas, another quality video. i'm jealous!

      @Fishermaine Get a few comments about that. Dont use for streamers or in the salt. I seem to lose less big fish on the strike. Been doing it that long don't even think about reconnecting trigger finger after strike it just happens. Is a risk I guess.

      Less damage to the fish, if you break a fish off, they drop the hook much easier and quicker so you don’t leave them swimming around with hardware in them (most important in my eyes) and if you get yourself it’s way less of an issue…

    Hi Alex. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting it. Just out of curiosity what specifically do you like about the Amplitude Infinity Smooth fly line from SA? ( I've used the Amplitude MPX fly line the last few years and have been pretty satisfied with it. ) I mostly fish with nymphs.

    • @TrippinOnTrout
      @TrippinOnTrout  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s just a great all round fly line.
      I used the MPX for quite a while too and thinks it’s brilliant - just a bit too aggressive for dry fly, dry/dropper and those more delicate presentations you sometimes need.
      For nymphing though…the MPX is bang on!

    Hi Alex, again another great video. Masterclass. As someone who is very aware of whats going on around them. I would like to know if you have noticed any decline in insect life. Here in the UK we have had a massive decline in the last year. I would like to think this is a one off. But there are worrying signs. This is going to have a real impact on a lot of things, and certainly fishing.

    • @TrippinOnTrout
      @TrippinOnTrout  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t noticed much but have heard from friends how much it has declined over the last couple of decades…which is a worry
