As someone who owns a 23 SE I agree with this. The car is still as solid as we expect from a corolla but the interior doesn't seem to be put together as well as the Japanese ones. The amount of various rattles I've had to chase down in the interior is more than other cars I've had. The corolla has naturally a loud interior due to the lack of sound deadening and still being to hear the rattles over the road noise is unpleasant.

I don’t like these new digital dash clusters. My neighbors went black on her and could see any of the indicators. Not good when driving down the road. Glad I got last gen Camry 2024 TRD. Still had analog gauges plus the digital. Best of both worlds.
The CVT is a major turnoff and there's no manual transmission option. Not long ago Toyota touted a new 6 speed manual, now vanished. What's wrong with American drivers? In the UK, even motorhomes can have a manual transmission.
Put the 2.5 thats in the camry "203 hp" in the corolla se, xse, apex or fx with a better 6spd man. I'm in. Or even with the 8spd auto. It would still be reliable but much more quick since its much lighter.
@ mmmmm that’s weird I’m sure you can add it but anyways just get the XSE model and add spoiler and other features you might like . If you’re gonna spend near 30k for an FX just get the XSE for almost the same price , just a few bucks more .
Like that it’s a Toyota, naturally aspirated engine, the styling, Don’t like the white interior door covering, the big flatscreen , the CVS transmission. Still would buy this over any EV out there at any price.
I thought I was going to get something different in light of your video title and Toyota offering their GR Corolla with an updated 8 speed auto and then you noted the CVT transmission. Makes sad trombone noises....😐
Saw a corolla with a similar factory wheel and tire the other day and I just don't get it. Sure it looks better but it's an economy car. The base trims have cheaper tires and wheels when it comes time to replace them and cheap consumables is the whole point of an affordable car like this. Also road noise, ride quality, and fuel economy are also effected negatively by these wheels and tires. Save this stuff for a sports car that actually benefits from them instead of being contrary to the idea of the car.
Nah, people should just get a new civic. Way more room, same gas mileage, much nicer interior, and more mature exterior. The Corolla interior just screams econobox.
This is basically the same as the Apex edition, rock hard suspension, a few cosmetic bits and zero actual performance increase. Sorry, but that's dang near $30k for what is basically a base Corolla sedan with nicer wheels and a ridiculous looking spoiler on the trunk lid. Gotta hard pass on this when you can get a Mazda 3 that is in a different class interior wise, and also has more power and torque for around the same price. The only way the Corolla beats the Mazda is fuel economy and *maybe* reliability. I expect that Toyota engine to outlast the sun going supernova, but I have a bit more trust in Mazdas 6 speed auto they've been using forever vs Toyota's CVT that was new in 2019 and had some issues early in the production run. I expect Toyota has sorted that out, but that trans hasn't been around long enough to have a lot of really high mileage examples out in the wild.

I disagree. Corolla has an actual first gear, then goes to CVT. Most the strain is put on that first gear and Toyota has never had problems with their normal CVTs. . The engine is better, too. Then the rest of the car like electronics, etc. is better quality and reliability. Resale value and reliability ratings agree with me.
@@yaroslavgorislabe3551I like Toyotas CVT on this car. An actual first gear is engineering brilliance. My wife had a Corolla with the normal CVT and that transmission was flawless, so I can imagine a launch gear would make it indestructible. Toyota long term reliability wins.
