- We take a tour of my home library and collection of signed books. Mostly signed presidential memoirs and books signed by other government and political leaders to include Reagan, Nixon, Quayle, CIA Directors and watch until the end for a document signed by Lincoln.

I collect really old books and first editions. Have quite a few 19th books on Alaska and a second edition Call of the Wild c.1904 and First edition The Hobbit c.1963

Impressive collection. I have my dads signed copy of Journey into Darkness by John Douglas. He attended a Douglas seminar when he was a local cop in the 90’s long before Mindhunter came out on Netflix. I also have a signed Ted Nugent autobiography that I found at an antique shop.

@@ScottUrbach - You'd be surprised at what you can find. Just before the virus lockdown hit last year, I picked up a double-signed George Tenet with some additional documentation/printed articles at a Salvation Army.

I started finding signed books at the $5 library bag sale. Then I bought books and sent them or bookplates direct to authors. My Sarah Palin book turned out to be fake. I have Jimmy Carter, Newt Gingrich, newsmen, politicians, and many lesser authors i enjoyed reading.

Thanks for doing that Scott! As you know the library is my favorite portion of your house you’ve showed. My next house we purchase will definitely have to have something as such. Super cool to have a look into the library ! So much history in the room and the books. I really like Sarah Palin even though she underperformed as a candidate a bit. She’s from my hometown and we went to the same high school. Also I did her in-laws roof a few years ago
Thanks Tylonn. I have always wanted to take a trip to Alaska. Along with North Dakota the only states I have not visited. Hoping to get up there when this virus thing is over.
You’d love it. Let’s put it this way Alaska is so big that even though I’m born and raised here I haven’t even explored 5% of the state. I really hope to do lots more exploration this year

I have several books that I have read in my home library, about the only one that was signed that I can recall is a couple of Tom Clancy’s books.

I have never done the reading thing. Very few things interst me unless I feal it is teaching me something I'm interested in. I'm not positive I ever read a book in school for class. My spelling reflects my statement! Lol
