BUT I do have a Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire script signed by majority of the cast and the queen J.K. Rowling herself. That counts, right? (It's my most prized possession and I cried for 2 days when I got it, haha)

Signed books are the best and I am so addicted to collecting them. I have around 60 by now, a few won in contests and bought in stores, but mainly I've gotten to meet authors at the Miami International Book Fair. I met Victoria Aveyard, Ryan Graudin, Nicola Yoon, Alexandra Bracken, Leigh Bardugo, and Lois Lowry just this past November. It was well worth the 10 hours of driving. My signing dream is YALLfest though.

I bought TFiOS not long after it came out (this was back before I was really in the booktube community) and I was lucky enough to get a signed one! I'm flipped of you when it comes to Looking for Alaska and TFiOS, read TFiOS first and then Alaska, and Alaska is probably one of my favorite books ever. lol

I am having such a face palm moment! How did I NEVER think to just put the book plates IN the books? I have them in a drawer of my desk. Like, come on! Thank you for making something so obvious clear to me so I can get home and put all my bookplates in my books.
For people who live in the US, most Target stores will sell some YA books signed. It's usually some of the more popular ones, and they also have signed Literary fiction sometimes. :)
I have one signed book and it is "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. It is one of my all time favorite books. Right before my husband and I moved to Texas my mom emailed the author and told her my love for the book and the author sent my mom a free copy of the book signed. (its actually a book plate) I was so excited!!

I own every single book by my favourite YA Horror author, Darren Shan, (that's about 50 books) and eeevery single one of them is signed :3 I've been to 3 of his signings, the first 2 I only took a couple of books because I was super shy, but for the 3rd one I was feeling brave because I'd seen him a few times before and semi-regularly spoke to him on Facebook and he does always say that he will sign as many books as people can carry, so I managed to cram like 40 books into this huge bag and it weighed a literal tonne and Darren and the whole book shop had a good ol' giggle at me shuffling this gigantic bag around the shop to follow the queue because I just couldn't pick it up! It was a literal nightmare but it was so worth it, they're my babies :') I have a few others too, I have Horns by Joe Hill that I managed to find for a bargain price on eBay, The Fireman by Joe Hill that I pre-ordered and had personalised because he had a special arrangement with his local bookshop, one by Charlaine Harris but I can't remember which one (it could be called Midnight Crossroads?), one of the House of Night books, Brisingr by Christopher Paolini, Holding up the Universe by Jennifer Niven that I got off my best friend for my birthday last year, and various signed copies of various different covers and languages of the Mirrorworld series by Cornelia Funke (my other favourite author in the whole world). That... was way more than I thought, I'm so sorry that this comment is so long! I don't even own as many books overall as you do! :')

I love the way John Green signs his books with different inks I got one inside my TFIOS book and it was signed with purple ink which is funny because I'm always known to use purple pens at uni haha

When City of Glass (by Cassandra Clare) came out, her and Holly Black were on tour together so I got the first three books signed from Cassie's series and the Tithe series by Holly signed. Signed copies are so cool! I own two (Part 2 & 3 of the Inkheart trilogy by Cornelia Funke), but they are signed by the man who narrated the original audiobooks. But since I love his voice skills and got the autograph at a reading I went to when I was a kid, it's so precious to me :)

In my experience American authors don't regularly come to Canada, but if they do, they do often stop in Toronto. Canadian authors are better bets, but even then you have to kind of find the right store.

I live near a popular indie bookstore that author frequent so I have quite a few signed and personalized books. But it's true that Book Outlet sends out signed copies, idk by mistake? LOL, either way it's an awesome surprise when that happens. Target randomly has signed books on the shelves, where I got And I Darken . Same with B&N where I got The Winner's Crime. I also have Caraval signed; Stephanie Garber signs it with "Welcome, Welcome" at events. According to my GR shelf, I have 33 signed books so far. :) But then again, some of them I bought signed instead of going to signings myself lol.

I was just one of the first people to buy ACOTAR from my local bookstore. The first copies were signed copies. I also have The Forest Of Adventures by Katie M John signed. I got that book in a giveaway.

She sent me a personalized copy when her book was finally picked up and published after two years of trying. I had helped her contact a publisher and even read the book online before it was published, so am really proud of that copy. But seeing as I live in Denmark, I can't really go to any international signings.. *sigh*

when I was younger my fvourite author had a signing near me and I took all the books I had from her (around 15 I want to say?) and she signed them all and now I've got them all on my shelf and I don't read them any more but feel like I have to keep them because they're signed and I really loved them

Besides for Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel, I get all of my signed books through goodreads giveaways. Since Neuvel is from Montreal, he had his event at the Indigo near McGill and I went because I actually won a finished copy of his book through goodreads, so I figured why not have it signed? But all the rest of the books that I own that are signed I won through goodreads. Montreal is not good for the author signings.

I have 4 signed books: The Fault In Our Stars, Eleanor & Park, Champion, and The Invention of Hugo Cabaret(and I'm just about to get a signed Gemina from the Illuminae Files) I found Hugo at a used bookstore but the former 3 I all got at Target. I don't know if they have a ton of them where you are but where I live in the states they're everywhere and whenever I look at their small ya book section, I can usually find at least one signed book. I still don't have a ton though cause usually it's signed books I already have signed or it's books I've never read or plan to read
when I was younger my fvourite author had a signing near me and I took all the books I had from her (around 15 I want to say?) and she signed them all and now I've got them all on my shelf and I don't read them any more but feel like I have to keep them because they're signed and I really loved them
I found a copy of Let It Snow that was signed by John Green at Powell's Books in Portland for..... wait for it...... 3.50$. I literally screamed when I found it and this book means the world to me ahhhh
I only have Carry On by Rainbow Rowell but it's like in my top three so it makes me very happy lol
I've got 4 signed books. I got The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah and Miles to Go by Richard Paul Evans from Book Outlet. I won The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon that I won on Twitter. And a personalized copy of Her Name in the Sky by Kelly Quindlen. That personalized book is everything to me haha. Great video!
Oops, I just saw that you are including books with signed bookplates. I have a few bookplates lol. Can't remember how many though. I'm going to have to scan the shelves and see.

I have over 100 signed books but they are mostly indie authors. =) Which isn't such a bad thing.

Also people in the US there are tons of signed books at Barnes and nobles and half price books.

Besides for Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel, I get all of my signed books through goodreads giveaways. Since Neuvel is from Montreal, he had his event at the Indigo near McGill and I went because I actually won a finished copy of his book through goodreads, so I figured why not have it signed? But all the rest of the books that I own that are signed I won through goodreads. Montreal is not good for the author signings.

My thing with the subscription boxes is, I just can't put a sticker in a book. Even if it's a signed book plate. I just don't want to hurt the book...
I don't own a single signed book, although I have almost 300 books on my shelves and it makes me so sad :(
but where I live (germany) there are basically no author signings and even if there were some, it would be german authors and I don't read that much from german authors.

Have hope for the people who don't have any signed copies cause one day some authors might come to your country or state. I have been Lucky to go to two very big dutch book events and for that reason I have a lot of signed books.
