Worse. Imagine you're in your base building things only to come outside and see wild versions of these things stealing all your tames and flying off over the horizon.
This would be absolutely terrible to add into the game, especially the large insect one. If it could pick up sea creatures and just drop them off on land, they would die instantly. If it could pick up a Rex and leave it on the middle of the ocean then there is no point in having a Rex, especially if the Rex cannot attack while being picked up.

It's not a bastion beetle. I think you're referring to the bombardier beetle, which does exactly just that. Bastion beetles (as far as i'm concerned) aren't a thing irl
I added a possible ability in the Nothosaurus candidate for it to have the ability to run on water when in full sprint. Then to be able to jump dive in and out of the water. Making it unique
I'd like the Baston Beetle, cause it's very unique in its own way. And seeing the difference between the male and female will an awesome sight to see actually. Plus I like the taming method for it as well, raising it from a grub to an a adult is a pretty cool way of obtaining one
Good idea. i'd liek to add thi method to most creature spieces. Look more natural way of taming. also it can have some interesting random stat advantarges.
I feel the Bison would be cool for some prim+ stuff. Maybe faster platform mounts. The prospect of those giant bugs give me vibes of Varkids from the Borderlands games.
I wish what bugs we have would be reworked so they at least were a viable choice for pve, the arthro is only viable for pvp and the scorpion and spider are useless for everything
Ikr I think both could make amazing mounts and if they incorporated a system where different conditions made different genders or forms grow into adulthood, that'd would be *so* cool. Like what if you need to be deep underwater to hatch A Rhynio and the temp chose the gender. Or you need to be at a super high elevation with lower air pressure to hatch an Antarcto and then based on temp it could be a little Female or Giant male. Mixing Sexual Dimorphism and Sexual Determinism could make a very unique experience.

in my opinion the rhyniognatha is definetly going on nr. 1. We need creatures that can balance the skies in ark since when you get a pteranodon youre basically good since you have no threats
I really hope the Bastion Beetle makes it in. Rhinoceros Beetles are my favourite kind of insect and having a giant one where you can ride on it and shoot things sounds awesome.
yeah and imagine it maybe as tall as the human? being the cousin of lystro but in a maybe neutral version? and stronger version ofc not very strong tho
@Víkingur Sigurðsson at this point in Ark, that's such a silly way of thinking about adding a creature. Even if we're adding entirely new mechanisms, anything added is going to simply be another dino that works the same as at least one other creature. Ark is ending. I'd rather see the game round itself out by adding a creature everybody has wanted to see in the game since Scorched Earth than present a creature with a ridiculous niche as if half the dinos in Ark aren't the same anyway.
Gorgonopsids where originally part of the game but got scraped last second along with giant crab or karkinos but it still got added later on they also shared the title of the forgotten creature but now it's just the gorgonopsid.
A lot of the creatures are just X other creature, but slightly different. So they would really have to stand out to be worth adding. That being said, I think some of the suggested benefits of those creatures could be folded into the other creature for a better experience. Razana/Gorgonopsid would kinda fill the same niches and I feel like we have so many 'generic 4 legged attack predator' with the ones that have been added. But both of these guys are cool. It'd be interesting to see something rival the Trike/Stego space as a big plodding predator maybe. Cheetah and Lion are kinda not really worth anything different from the smilodon. Hatze could be useful if it had something that made it special. Especially for people who don't want any of the non-dino fliers like wyverns, etc. Personally, I'd just suggest whatever ideas for it be incorporated into quetz so it becomes worth going after again. There isn't really a hole in the flier tree of abilities that needs plugged though. Giant Bison has a lot of room to be interesting if it came along with a new feature like a 'cart'. It'd be great to have a Cart saddle you could haul behind the Bison (and maybe other dinos that are compatible?) That people could store goods into or ride upon, or turn into a siege tower, etc. Goat isn't really necessary when there are so many already. (Horse, deer, Sheep, Shinehorn) You could maybe make a giant shinehorn that acted as base lighting which could be interesting, but ultimately pointless. Nothosaurus I think you summed up perfectly with "the ocean is a waste of time" because the place is just a big mess and there are too damn many sharks. So the best benefit I can see of the Nothosaurus would be if it replaced sharks as the shallow water predator for the oceans, just for diversity sake. Something that could go after birds and rush up onto land and grab dodos, or take out Stingrays. Giant Beetle tank might be fun
i think it would be cool if the bastion beetle had a "protect" mode where you could hide small creatures under it, maybe things the size of a direwolf or smaller?
"I don't know how the smilodon didn't make into the vote at all" - Said Syntac, without realising that smilodon is the generic sabretooth tiger, and in the sabretooth's dossier in ARK it's scientific name is "Smilodon brutalis". Come on Syntac, not a hard realization to make.
Let's not forget that you're talking about the guy that is still utterly baffled by the "weird new mechanic" of icthyornis destroying the things that they steal from you, when that's how ichtyornis has worked since day-freaking-one.
"uhh it seems here that you pronounced integraligent rengontutoonpartially incorrectly by approximately 3 syllables. it seems that you are of lesser intelligents.🤓☝️" cho big ass up😂😂
Ikr, how long has Syntac been playing this game, ik its easy to find long term players who can't even say Phiomia right (Fi-oh-Mia) lol I googled it once
Really what id like to see is a proper aerial threat in ark, so I'm going for the Hatze, Rhynio and the Beetle. The Hatze sounds like it would be terrifying for my Ark's where pretty much everyone just putts about in air, free of proper threats.
@@juicygame I'm all for big bugs, they really wasted that potential, there's like 3 rideable arhtorpods, but I don't want some giga-rivalling fliers. If they make this one fly AND be as strong as a giga it would make pve unplayable, and any unbalanced pvp would be even worse.
for the rhyniognatha, it wouldn't be a strech for wild card to upscale them to be able to carry a rex. the dilo is like 1/3 the size of a real dilo. wild card doesn't care about creature sizes, as long as it balances well.
I can see them probably having it carry up to an allosaurus knowing the devs but carrying a t-rex would be dope. This and the Bastion Beetle are my top picks I just want some big threatening bugs man.
The bison gets my vote, it's basically the only one I can imagine bringing new game mechanics (though not adding much power to your party) and a category of creature we don't have already (giant beef ribs anyone?) I like the idea of a carriage type saddle, and going further imagine a "plow saddle" that turns ground into seedable land without the need of greenhouse for effectiveness or uses way less fertilizer or make for faster growing (there's quit a few possibilities) Other feel like remakes of creature you somehow already have. The giant bug feels ridiculous the way its presented by the maker unless you make it a boss in my opinion.
Imo we really need sky threats. Once you get a ptera the game loses a lot of difficulty, to say nothing of an argy. My top votes would be Hatzegopteryx or Rhyniognatha for this reason, as a Sky Rex or Sky Giga would help make the skies more engaging. The Bastion Beetle would be runner up, mostly because we need more *good* bugs in the game.
The Hatzegopteryx would be really cool if it kinda lived in the mountains and could swoop down (like a Griffin) and pick up prey. That would make them a really cool predator especially in later game if they swoop down and grab you off your Rex. So they could be at the top of mountains and prey on things near the base, including players.
Fun fact: The Hatzegopteryx is actually the largest flying reptile. It is indeed larger than a Quetzalcoatlus. Also, the Giant Bison is extinct. What you saw was the American Bison which is a different animal.
I think the Hatze would be an awesome addition, as soon as you unlock flyers, the games on easy mode. A fast, high damage quetzal that could jump you during metal runs sounds awesome. Wins my vote!
I feel like it’ll be really cool if it has like a sort of stabbing ability with its beak, and like the better the armor the lower the odds of it stabbing u and taking like 50% of your health or something with a long cooldown
Hatzegopteryx is looking like my favorite. It should probably be a little smaller then the quetz, no platform saddle (but maybe a 2-3 person saddle), faster (obviously), and would be amazing if they gave it a dive like the snow owl and griffin. Syns idea of it being aggressive would be fun. If they made it a pretty rare spawn like the quetz, then it coming after you every so often would not be that bad.
I really want a hatze to be like a b-52 since they are actually heavier and a bit shorter than quetz, I feel it also being aggressive would be terrifying and I'm down.
In the case of the Rhyniognatha, we already have something in ark that was scaled up from an even smaller size: Gasbags. Since Helena speculated that it came from the tardigrade phylum, that's an increase in size up from 0.5-1.2mm to something larger than a horse! I don't think it's too outside the realm of possibility given what's already been established.
I’d love to see the bastion beetle! Even if not every feature for the saddle stays in, it’ll at least keep the concept of a tank that could change both pvp and pve
"we need some sort of small fast bleeder dog sort of thing, like a bloodhound, so gorgonopsid could be really cool if it could like run ahead and slow things" Ravagers:
I love the 2 insects, Rhyniognatha and Antarctotrechus Bali, and they will definately be my top 2 votes. The problem I have with the submissions is that they have very powerful abilities, and lots of them. I get that they're there so that wildcard has a much bigger range for ideas, and so they can pick and choose what they think would fit the game more, but still, I feel like it makes people think they they'll be way overpowered.
Honestly I’m hoping either the gorgon or the beetle get it this time, everything else kind of seems like we already have something similar or is too far out there with their ability. The noto would be cool if their kept that random fertilization mechanic but I don’t think they’d give it that.
6:49 Hat - zee - gop - ter - ix: Hatzegopteryx, my number 1 creature, they were aggressive creatures and would grab creatures smaller than them in their beak swallowing them whole, hope this helps!
Regarding the cave lion, I feel mixed on it. I love extinct big cats, and we only have one in the game. Under normal circumstances I’d be hyped for something like it and I kinda like the suggestion, but I honestly really dislike how it was boosted up by a huge influencer. I will say that I really hope the original poster doesn’t get harassed, as someone submitted it when the vote started and definitely put more thought into it before getting their suggestion merged with the influencers suggestion. It actually started as a pretty interesting idea. Side note, I’m actually surprised how the cheetah got in, I think thats cool that two cats got into the vote. I hope whatever wins that Ark 2 has more extinct cats, and that the saber gets utilized more.
I actually am so kind of caught with the animals of ark 2 because we can only expect the animals that were on the Eden ring, but as we seen hyper evolution may be at play and the new environment may have also been a major influence, so I maybe the sabertooth involved is a different species of big cat because I can’t remember what they’re called but, one of them was wearing a sabertooth skull on they’re head, but also maybe a native animal to the planet and I can’t what it’s called again Im sorry, resembles in build something of the Smilodon and can pretain what use and abilities the actual Smilodon would’ve had if it were added
The creature that got me really excited was the giant bison,it just sounds super cool to have two bisons in a single saddle, imagine 2 mutated bisons carrying you and your stuff, and what i though would work better instead of a saddle was actually an item in the game that would make it possible to have 2 ground (or maybe even air, imagine griffins like that)creatures like the picture, 2 horses,2 unicorns,2 bisons It would be amazing
I'm honestly mixed between adding Razanandrogobe and Hatzegopteryx. Razanandrogobe would add some much-needed variety to Ark's crocodiles, and ould also give it a chance to have some spotlight. Perhaps it could be like a jaguar, a powerhouse both in water and on land. However, Hatzegopteryx also seems cool, and maybe it could be like Ark's stealth bomber.
if anything they should add that myotragus ( the goat ) into ark 2 where it will be a whole new map / world where using that goat to find new resources would be useful and fun
The flying mounts are my top 3. I think we need more flying mounts in ark. Specifically an aggro flying creature, like the hatsegopteryx and the Ryniognatha. Especially if the rynio keeps its abilities because they are awesome.
My only problem with the Rynio is that a giant flying insect wouldn't fit in on most maps, and two of the ones it would (Aberration and Genesis 1) are mostly non-flyer.
I really want to see a sacry Flying creature that messes you up when you fly with the archi or petri over the map. Thats the thing i hate the most in ark. When you have an Flyer in Singleplayer you have done it. There is nothing that stop you, besides wyvern trenches. The little Quetz with its Air Sack could be an flying Yuti. And when it roars it forces your mount to fall down or something. And mabye a group of Dimophs follow it and with its huge beak it can grap smaller fyling creature like an megalo.
@@kade-qt1zu yeah, it is a little odd, the more level ability proposal that was suggested was that it could store fish oil in a sack and that oil could be used to make an elixir that buffs loot quality from fishing. It would have a saddle that had innate scuba quality but only up till 2 minutes.
@@kade-qt1zu if you go to the submission itself. the original poster suggested the egg ability. but since the devs didnt want multiple people to submit the same creature. theres a comment under by "skeel". during the vote the comment actually had more upvotes than the submission itself. it looks amazing. tames like a water equus and has the elixir ability. plus it stores fish and jumps out of water. it looks like a water dragon and its so cool
The giant Rhynio (calling it that for short so I don’t mess up the rest of the name lol) would be super cool if it could pick up water creatures in like a water bubble. Like if it had the ability to snatch a megalodon out of the water in its own little water bubble, that would be sick.
While I have a feeling that the Hatzegopteryx will win (perhaps as to be a better quetzal), I personally want the Giant Bison to be added. Especially with all the listed ideas for the Giant Bison to provide, like the milk.
Hatzegopteryx was actually larger then the quetzal in real life and was the apex predator in its ecosystem. I think you nailed it when you said it would be a more aggressive version of a quetz. Maybe some type of impale or bleed on a flyer, Could be interesting.
@Fallen Hatzegopteryx had a longer beak and stood taller than a quetz. It also weighed an approximate 30kg more than a quetz. They were very different creatures in lifestyle. The quetz was built for speed and living in the air. Haptegopteryx was more terrestrial, slower, and bulkier. My guess is that It would hit a lot harder then a quetz but wouldn't be able to fly for long to compensate for this.
I feel like a cool ability they could add to the American Lion if it was added was some sort of cripple ability that slows a target down and makes it do less damage or give it a kind of night vision ability
They should add the gorgonopsid "Leogorgon" to the game, this animal was the largest of its group and was a very fearsome monster, even bigger than its relative Inostrancevia (the 2nd largest of the gorgonopsids) Leogorgon was huge compared to a human , this bug has incredible potential for ARK.
Im all for a new giant insect!! i would say i want the bison but i feel like the andrewsarchus has kinda filled that role so i want the Rhyniognatha or Bastion beetle as i feel like a giant flying insect would be awesome
Last time we got a water dino was the squid in early access. Notho was a easy 1st place for me. Wildcard always spices up the creatures when they make it and dont make then a 1:1 copy of the player made one. I like the ground/water aspect aswell so it can be a land creature for everyone else.
Something else that could be added to the Myotragus: If you’re standing near a cliff edge, and you’re checking behind you, they decided to charge.. WADOOSH! Get launched off the edge. You can do the same to other dinos if there on an cliff edge and you’re riding one.
For the Cheetah a good way to make it more unique could be to give a dash similar to the Tek Suit (mentioned in the post) which wouldn't last as long as the suit because it's much easier to obtain, as for the lion it could be our first pack cat, gaining the pack bonuses like raptors and allos
@@Yousifzzz dude a Rex would be too big, maybe a raptor size or slightly bigger than a saber. It would definitely always run in a pride with one very large male and a ton of females.
I’d really like another big pterosaur, I’m just afraid they make a Quetzal reskin like they did with the Carcha and the Giga (I love the Carcha but I think that should’ve been a DLC)
Hatzegopteryx though likely shorter than Quetzalcoatlus, had a similar wingspan and was bulkier and meaner, a true apex predator. Everything else in its area had developed a sort of dwarfism but not that thing.
I think the beetle could be cool if it just functioned as a defensive mount. I like cool crazy creatures like the Magmasaur, but ark's primitive roots are what had me hooked in the beginning. I like the idea of a little stego-beetle resource convoy hiking up to the mountain and stuff. But with that vision pretty much overshadowed by other creatures and dlc and farming methods, I don't think the beetle would find a place if it was just defensive. Perhaps this beetle's primary function is knockback. Lots of creatures have knockback but this could find a place in base defense, being armored from projectiles, but not explosives. And having great knockback, but not so much damage. Heavily armored, and maybe protects the rider under it's shell?
I really think bugs need some love in ark. There’s literally only the mantis and sometimes the arthroplura that are useful, and that is strictly in pvp. I’d love some bastion beetles that could serve as something like those ww2 machine gun turrets you would see, perhaps spreading out its shell casing to form a mobile bunker you could hide behind for pvp, and for pve it could be a good weight tame. And the giant mosquito/moth thing could be a great transport Dino.
For that goat like one, it could have an "equip slot" where you put a resource in and the goat would turn it's head or have a ping like ability to search for resources

The beetle seems like a great addition considering not many bugs within the game that have that kind of maturation.

Honestly I don't think all the features the bettle dossier suggests are gonna make it into the game, it would be cool if they did tho
I maintain that the Inostrancevia (Gorgonopsid) should have been added AGES ago, and it would be good to see it in the game now.
yeah and imagine it maybe as tall as the human? being the cousin of lystro but in a maybe neutral version? and stronger version ofc not very strong tho
What role would the gorgonopsid fulfill that the ravager doesn't already?
The first creature you showed is a LAND croc. There were plenty of land Crocs in prehistoric times that weren't tied to the water.
I Hope Gorgonopsid gets in. Just because he was promised by wildcard in the early days of ark yet never made it in.
I think it would be a good creature for caves
i think it would be cool if the bastion beetle had a "protect" mode where you could hide small creatures under it, maybe things the size of a direwolf or smaller?
"I don't know how the smilodon didn't make into the vote at all" - Said Syntac, without realising that smilodon is the generic sabretooth tiger, and in the sabretooth's dossier in ARK it's scientific name is "Smilodon brutalis". Come on Syntac, not a hard realization to make.

Really what id like to see is a proper aerial threat in ark, so I'm going for the Hatze, Rhynio and the Beetle. The Hatze sounds like it would be terrifying for my Ark's where pretty much everyone just putts about in air, free of proper threats.
If they add the rhynognatha, it would be so sick. I always liked the insects, and a giant flying one sounds even better
I would absolutely love this but I just feel too many people want more realistic creatures.

@@Placidpalace yea explain the fact they are untamable , explain that ? Do you enjoy that? Do you appreciate that?
I'm a big fan of giant Azhdarchids. Pronunciation of that one's name is pretty simple, "HAT-zeg-OP-ter-ix"
for the rhyniognatha, it wouldn't be a strech for wild card to upscale them to be able to carry a rex. the dilo is like 1/3 the size of a real dilo. wild card doesn't care about creature sizes, as long as it balances well.
I can see them probably having it carry up to an allosaurus knowing the devs but carrying a t-rex would be dope. This and the Bastion Beetle are my top picks I just want some big threatening bugs man.
The bison gets my vote, it's basically the only one I can imagine bringing new game mechanics (though not adding much power to your party) and a category of creature we don't have already (giant beef ribs anyone?)
I like the idea of a carriage type saddle, and going further imagine a "plow saddle" that turns ground into seedable land without the need of greenhouse for effectiveness or uses way less fertilizer or make for faster growing (there's quit a few possibilities)
Other feel like remakes of creature you somehow already have.
We have the saber in are and Smilodon is what people call a saber tooth so adding the smilodon to ark would be like haveing two of the same animal
That would be crazy to have something Giga-sized but flying. A really fast flying creature would be nice too.
Same
In the case of the Rhyniognatha, we already have something in ark that was scaled up from an even smaller size: Gasbags.
Since Helena speculated that it came from the tardigrade phylum, that's an increase in size up from 0.5-1.2mm to something larger than a horse! I don't think it's too outside the realm of possibility given what's already been established.
I’m not too huge on this vote as a whole but the Razan, Notho, or Gorgon would be cool to see
I'd love Wildcard add all the 10 creatures!
I’d love to see the bastion beetle!
Even if not every feature for the saddle stays in, it’ll at least keep the concept of a tank that could change both pvp and pve
"we need some sort of small fast bleeder dog sort of thing, like a bloodhound, so gorgonopsid could be really cool if it could like run ahead and slow things"
Ravagers:
I’d love a cool flyer like a bug or the Hatzeg, but there really aren’t enough water critters.
What's your answer to the argument that there's nothing really worth doing underwater?
I love the 2 insects, Rhyniognatha and Antarctotrechus Bali, and they will definately be my top 2 votes. The problem I have with the submissions is that they have very powerful abilities, and lots of them. I get that they're there so that wildcard has a much bigger range for ideas, and so they can pick and choose what they think would fit the game more, but still, I feel like it makes people think they they'll be way overpowered.
I voted for the bugs too !! But everyone but the cats seem interesting

Honestly I’m hoping either the gorgon or the beetle get it this time, everything else kind of seems like we already have something similar or is too far out there with their ability. The noto would be cool if their kept that random fertilization mechanic but I don’t think they’d give it that.
Saw Hatz, instant top vote for me. Quetz can be the queen of the sky and let the Hatz be king!

Ayye! Same dude!
The creature that got me really excited was the giant bison,it just sounds super cool to have two bisons in a single saddle, imagine 2 mutated bisons carrying you and your stuff, and what i though would work better instead of a saddle was actually an item in the game that would make it possible to have 2 ground (or maybe even air, imagine griffins like that)creatures like the picture, 2 horses,2 unicorns,2 bisons
It would be amazing

I'm honestly mixed between adding Razanandrogobe and Hatzegopteryx.
Razanandrogobe would add some much-needed variety to Ark's crocodiles, and ould also give it a chance to have some spotlight. Perhaps it could be like a jaguar, a powerhouse both in water and on land.
However, Hatzegopteryx also seems cool, and maybe it could be like Ark's stealth bomber.
I don’t know man that huge ass insect looks pretty rad
if anything they should add that myotragus ( the goat ) into ark 2 where it will be a whole new map / world where using that goat to find new resources would be useful and fun

I really like those kind of beetle so seeing and taming one would be very nice
I wish they had the Quetzal stand straight up like it does in its taxidermy
But I choose a tie between the Hatze and the Mountain Goat
I really want another flyer, we got what, Argy, Pteranodon, and quetzal? Maybe the bat and possibly a griffin? We need more flyers
Imo the Antarctotrechus Balli is the one I want strongly because it's growth / progression is quite interesting
"we don't actually have any aggressive flyers" Argy: "am I dead to you?"
The flying mounts are my top 3. I think we need more flying mounts in ark. Specifically an aggro flying creature, like the hatsegopteryx and the Ryniognatha. Especially if the rynio keeps its abilities because they are awesome.
The ability to do literally everything, that totally seems logical for Wildcard to stay true to, just saying.
My only problem with the Rynio is that a giant flying insect wouldn't fit in on most maps, and two of the ones it would (Aberration and Genesis 1) are mostly non-flyer.
The razana shouldn't be a bleed creature,it should be a living giant bear trap to use trap and tame other animals.
Love the gorganopsid, I think it'd be awesome to have some more small, carnivorous lizard types.
The nothosaurus would be super cool if they just gave it unique abilities. I love the look of the thing from the little dossier drawing, kinda cute
Syntac didn't go over it but the proposed ability was that it would have a chance to fertilize wild found eggs.
@@ReleasedHollow That seems like a strange ability to give to Nothosaurus.
@@ReleasedHollow That fits Nothosaurus way better. Who even suggested giving it the ability to fertizilize wild found eggs?
I’d love the Moa, Thylacine, Macrauchenia and the Demon Ducks in ark one day.
They were about the same size, Hatze just built heavier.
@@maximaldinotrap which means it's larger ,larger means heavier/bigger not size
@Fallen Hatzegopteryx had a longer beak and stood taller than a quetz. It also weighed an approximate 30kg more than a quetz. They were very different creatures in lifestyle.

Last time we got a water dino was the squid in early access. Notho was a easy 1st place for me. Wildcard always spices up the creatures when they make it and dont make then a 1:1 copy of the player made one. I like the ground/water aspect aswell so it can be a land creature for everyone else.
I think it would be cool if they added the selected creature(s) to the center exclusively that way the map could actually be worth playing

The Center is absolutely worth playing on.
@@amile3643 i just mean to give it a unique edition, i agree it's already worth playing

For the lion I was thinking it should be fucking massive, like as big as a rex but it can jump, and they just make what ever shit they want.

IMO Most are just not unique enough, case in point the Hatzegopteryx is just the Quetz TLC we never got, my vote goes to the bugs.
I’d really like another big pterosaur, I’m just afraid they make a Quetzal reskin like they did with the Carcha and the Giga (I love the Carcha but I think that should’ve been a DLC)
My hope is to make it more comparable to a very big tropo, with it being a bomber as opposed to the tropos fighter jet.
For me its the hatze, another huge flyer would make the skies less boring and it could be a very interresting tame.
Ocean ark with a hollow earth vibe would be amazing
Syntac: we dont have any aggresive flyers yet.
Argentavis and wyvern: am i a joke to you?

True. If the gorgon nor bastion somehow win I hope Razana takes the crown.
