Okay, I don’t know why this is on my feed- but after watching a couple of them I have a bit of advice. The helm should move the tiller extension to the tip of the tiller and NEVER touch the tiller again. ALWAYS sail with the extension, usually while sitting on the rail. Everything will be better.
Thanks for the tip! We're still new to the boat and just started posting these mainly for friends and crew to learn from, but TH-cam seems to be bringing them to a bigger audience than I expected. Hope they've been interesting to watch, and feel free to share any other thoughts you have. Always looking to learn more.
Hated having any responsibility on the helm other than driving/observing. Hard enough staying in the slot. Of course, it could simply be the excuse I needed to buy a bigger boat!
