I really hate this "fixated point in the timeline" bullcrap that writers try to pull. Either the timeline is changeable or it isn't, you can't just try to do both. Also, the explanation given for why the multiverse exists doesn't even make sense by what Apokolips War explained and showed. Yes, Barry went back in time, but it also showed that the entire timeline was being erased. This film tries to say that there are two timelines created by what Constantine and Barry had done, which meant that the DCAUM still exists by that logic, only everyone is freaking dead, and their attempt did nothing at all. Even the retconning that Constantine placed a spell on Barry and told him to run is stupid and never happened in Apokolips War, it was just created out of the blue. And then there's the part of Barry somehow managing to reach Apokolips in the far distant past without the use of a portal or Mother Box, he just runs across time and space to reach a place outside of time and space to get there and kill Darkseid, which shouldn't even be possible because Darkseid is one of those beings who can't just be erased like that. But the biggest sin that this movie commits is placing the DCAMU at the very beginning of every single show and movie that is represented in every universe. Why do modern writers do this? Why do they love to retcon something as happening first to explain everything else? Is it a way to make themselves more relevant? Bottom line, the more I think about this trilogy, the more I come to hate it.

I swear what is it with these cynical writers in DC animation these days with all this dark bullshit? This crisis on infinite earths part 3 thing just made it look like the DC worlds from our childhoods have all been destroyed! THIS ISN'T RIGHT AT ALL!!!😖 They had better bring those BACK!
I find it hilarious that Kara sacrificed herself and then 10 minutes later they realize them getting obliterated is supposed to happen because it’s the universe “healing” its self😭😭 makes her whole sacrifice for nothing. What makes it worse is they get the machine that grants wishes after her death when they could’ve done it before she made the big sacrifice🤣🤣🤣 this movie was fucking awful. This whole tomorrowverse shit was a waste of a universe of movies. All of it for nothing
Honestly, idc what’s anyone says, I rlly liked part 1. Aspects of part 2 were interesting, but it was overall very unfocused and boring. And part 3 has some cool individual moments and plot points, and I honestly cared for some of these characters, but it defiantly has problems. Overall, a decent trilogy but definitely underwhelming
I appreciate the detailed thoughtful commentary/review, but I have to disagree. I thought Crisis, especially pt3 was really good. And, though I haven't seen all of the Tomorrowverse, I liked the ones I did see.

I've always wondered what universe is it that they went to, I kinda came up with the idea that it was the absolute universe but I don't know if that's the case...what do you guys think
Thanks for featuring my comment! I'll be honest I checked out of DC completely after Shitopolips Dump and don't really see any reason to come back. After what they did to my favorite character (Superboy) I've grown to just hate them as a company and a brand, partially I'm trying to scheme about creating my own original IP one day as an "alternative" to them LOL. Or at least one tha features unflattering parodies of them. I really don't see the "one earth, one universe" as a good thing considering it came at the expense of "Oh, the DCAU and Teen Titans universes are now erased forever and NEVER coming back that is literally how they end now, buy our shit" and I think it's personally very boring if there is no multiverse (as a fanfic writer I guess it makes fanfics literally pointless and impossible). So I'm far more pessimistic than you, I've straight up been predicting DC's eventual bankruptcy. I don't like hating a company and franchise I used to love, but they've never given me any reason to come back. Like they literally can't just let a universe have a happy ending. They couldn't let the DCAMU have a happy ending in this movie, they couldn't even let the DCAU and Teen Titans universes rest in peace they had to bring them back just to kill them off. To me it came off, besides Kevin's send-off, as more like "Y'all are NEVER getting another season so shut the fuck up you ungrateful brats". I also have the knowledge they are being stupid. They are probably making this "Monoverse" be the DCU, the upcoming "next attempt" at the DCEU. They basically are putting ALL of their eggs into the James Gunn basket and I just think that's a huge mistake cuz if Superman: Legacy happens to underperform that might be the beginning of the end for DC especially if they killed their entire multiverse so what are they gonna do. It's very dangerous to put so much importance on a movie series that hasn't even come out yet. Also in the back of my head I'll always be thinking "You killed the DCAU and Teen Titans for this..."
I know im late but this movie was horrible. I wasnt a huge fan of the first two parts but i thought people were a bit tough on some aspects but this last one realy was the worst DC animated movie ive seen. I hope they just scale back down and just give us character focused shows it would be nice for there to be animated flash solo. or a DC showcase where every episode is a teamup between a popular character and a lesser known character or team.
I have only watched the first two parts. Ive really enjoyed it so far. But I dont understand why Dr. Spectro was brought in. Hes clearly not a hero even in his own universe. So why did Monitor bring him? Not only that, why did Dr. Fate give him his power? Much less how did he even capture Dr. Fate? Maybe it gets answered, but thought it was strange.
I quite literally fell asleep during part 2. And I stuck it through Part 3 to be utterly disappointed for the ending only to show a child diana and not anyone else like Clark or Bruce or even Barry. Which I’m not even sure is in the new prime world. There was so much wasted potential that now they completely retconned and destroyed my childhood in a shitty archer style type of animated filming.
The crisis here was in how badly they mangled not only the original story but storytelling in general and the DV HEROES specifically. Spoilers… AS OPPOSED TO HER HEROUC SACRIFICE TO SAVE REALITY in the comic series, Supergirl’s death accomplished ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The heroes flee like rats off a sinking ship while billions die - taking the Joker with then into the new reality for who the hell knows what reason?!! The Anti Monitor isn’t even a villain, its just a thing (forget what you saw in part 2 because the writers apparently have). Essentially the big bad is a soulless as the rest of this offering. As far as respecting the past animated series is concerned, I’m duprprised there wasn’t a post-creed scene of somebody kicking a puppy and laughing.
Wait... pardon my ignorance, I don't keep up with the animated movies. I've been interested in this trilogy because I thought it was a faithful adaptation of the Crisis comic. Is that not the case?
Crisis on infinite earths trilogy doesn't make any sense, story is stupid and very thin with plot holes, execution was flimsy imo, all together such a big let down and waste of dc material and own time watching this garbage.
I only watched part 3 and surprisingly that worked out better for me since I got a non dawn out version of the story but seeing what people are saying it madness that it was 3 parts.
Idk I liked it. I always saw the original Crisis on infinite earths comics as a clever writing device to erase comic timelines (which got extremely convoluted at the time) and consolidate into 1. Same here only the timelines are the animated movies while giving a nod to the animated series’s of the past. Not the best but scratched my itch and seeing it tie back Warworld and Dark apokalypse was nice.
I think that if they wanted to make a good movie trilogy they should have had the each one of the movies focus on a specific justice league, the first one being the tomorrowverse the second being the justice league dark universe and the final being the timmverse have Batman have his final moments fighting the joker while the justice league trying to stop the anti monitor surviving in the bleed with joining the other leagues but I guess it’s to hard to animate one style then have many for these movies exceptions for short cameos and static shots.
That's your opinion... not the best thing dc did but still good enough, even in their worst condition, dc still has better anmitions than Marvel shit ..and dc has much more success than failure in their anmited universe ..but some people always focusing on the bad side, and for you information alot of people liked this movie..so far dc anmited shows are fire I watched the new batman series and it's awesome and I can't wait for the creatures comandos..who's knows maybe the era after infinite crisis will be much better 😊
Also I don't understand a few things: 1). Why didn't Constantine go into the new prime universe at the end? Same for spectre? Won't he and JC be erased by the anti monitor? 2) why was doctor spectro chosen to be among the heroes and part of the think tank from the start? 3) how did Luther manage to keep doctor spectro / psycho pirate in check in part 3, by Zapping him the whole time??? He can control anyone, especially with some power of the monitor in him at that point in time 🤦♂️ 4) why did a version of doctor faith give doctor spectro the ability to move from Universe to universe????? I think this happened in part 2 And there r so many more questions of this trilogy that makes no sense or is just unclear.... Hate it
It’s not over. DC eliminated the alternate universes once before, but eventually they came back. They will again. They are necessary. How else can you explore alternative options? DC used “Imaginary Stories,” but eventually readers wanted more than one shot deals.
Not sure what everyone is complaining about. The trilogy was a great adaptation of the comic event from the 80’s with a more streamlined and digestible story and greater background detail on characters like Psycho Pirate. The use of John Constantine as the “Pariah” of this version was well executed. I think people are just upset because the event’s final state is a full reset where the multiverse is gone and we’re brought down to one singular earth with a new history. I think a lot of folks just reject that on principle (like the Question), which is fine. But I enjoyed it. It’ll be interesting to see what they do next.
I found it too dark, frustrating, and repetitive. There’s no way the end of the multiverse is anything but a tragedy. They tried it in the 80s and had to bring it back. They will again. It limits the imagination to have only one option.
@@dlv0187 Watched the first movie and checked out. This was absolute drivel. Could not bring myself to watch two and three given how bad one was. How they messed this up so badly is amazing. They LITERALLY had a step by step blueprint on how to go about this and they messed it up.

All their gonna do is have some sort of future event to resplit the multiverse again. I think its pointless. All of this started with Flashpoint Paradox. Its just doesn’t satisfy the journey started by what started the DC animated streak
honestly this movie can be described one way: "WAY to soon" Wasting time with movies like warworld (too son) and then wasting the evil green latern arc (WAY to soon), shit was all over the place and it kinda seems like they were trying to just get those panels to be shown to the public in a movie like format, my hope going forward with DC is they just let shit breath you know? Have a team dedicated to batman, have a team for superman, have a team for green arrow, so that way all the characters are written the same by the writers who have been writing them for their solo movies. The best part about the DCAU back in the day was the fun moment to moment action with a large plot hanging over them with CADMUS and all that. Basically? JUST DO JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMTED AGAIN and then make a final movie that ties up the over arching plot and BAM you have an amazing TV series with an awesome movie as a conclusion...it could even be shown in theaters if it was popular enough. Idk why DC cannot figure this out. I sued to say that DC always had it over Marvel when it came to Animation..now?? they both suck, such is life. PS: I really liked JLDAW just saying, i watched all those movies and seeing the ending was brutal and sad but i still thought it was a god way to at least close off that universe
They killed the Superfriends! That sh!t was uncalled for. I read Crisis in real time month to month back in the 80's and this iteration of the story was terrible!
Dude, that last scene of Conroy and Hamill was terrible, stop kidding yourself. First, i seriously doubt that was really Hamill; sounded nothing like him. Second, Batman's last act in life shouldn't have been punching joker. It should have been with the family he's made as Batman. Third, it ends with those characters being obliterated out of history... who the hell wanted to see that???
I think it was terrible for a different reason. It's nostalgia bait, it's not even dcau batman as the tomarrowverse multiverse is a multiverse with no darkseid Something the dcau clearly has Its cheap bait to draw attention, it's designed like dcau and voiced by conroy for clout yet in reality Its a brand new version, we never seen before. Its simple pandering The scene didt even do anything for the larger narrative
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lpSaying Conroy’s last performances had his character dying by itself isn’t disrespectful, what matters is how they execute. @@der_benson4478 Batman Beyond was basically just in there for nostalgia baiting, and it's hilarious how it didn't work. Honestly the fact Kevin has this movie dedicated to him at the end credits made me go "this man deserved better than this"
The pacing was a little annoying. The first & second film are a little dry. I only stuck around because I love the character not the actual story.
I swear what is it with these cynical writers in DC animation these days with all this dark bullshit? This crisis on infinite earths part 3 thing just made it look like the DC worlds from our childhoods have all been destroyed!
THIS ISN'T RIGHT AT ALL!!!😖
They had better bring those BACK!
Now another reason we won't get starfie teen titans season
Honestly i would like to see more adaptations from other dc stories to tell more in the future of DC universe.
Same here especially Golden Age stories.
I would like to see them going back to anthology films just like back in the 2000s or 2010s like Batman under the red hood and the dark knight returns
Holy shit, that movie was trash😂😂
I appreciate the detailed thoughtful commentary/review, but I have to disagree. I thought Crisis, especially pt3 was really good. And, though I haven't seen all of the Tomorrowverse, I liked the ones I did see.
The writing on this series was so bad. The new WB leadership are nothing but Foxes in a hen house.
We didn’t get an appearance from Gods & Monsters Justice League
I guess I hope we get Doomsday Clock in animated form
I’d love to get that. I haven’t read doomsday clock and I’d love to be able to consume that story in animated form
@@DareToEntertain if thats the eventual goal I look forward to it.
We had New52, Tomorrowverse was Rebirth, I’m assuming Doomsday Clock would be the logical next step
I've always wondered what universe is it that they went to, I kinda came up with the idea that it was the absolute universe but I don't know if that's the case...what do you guys think
Very good video man, keep it up!
Thank you mate this means a lot. Thank you for watching
This quote belongs in their Merchandise:
"We killed the DCAU and Teen Titans for this"
This trilogy was horrible. Hope things get better soon
Dte vids always slap
Always here. Always supporting. You're the best.
I had no idea so many people hated it. I thought it was actually really good. Its a shame there's so many people unhappy.
I’ve had a few comments like this lately. It makes me happy to hear you enjoyed it. Really happy. Thanks for watching still even if we disagree
2:28 as great as this is to see, how is the animation in 2024 worse than it was 30 years ago?
Man I don’t even know. I miss the texture and dirtiness of the 90s look. I wonder if we’ll ever get it back for 2d projects
This movie was horrible compared to the limited series comic book created by Marv Wolfman & George Perez
Ending of the video has potential
Discord soundboard gonna be so funny
The crisis here was in how badly they mangled not only the original story but storytelling in general and the DV HEROES specifically. Spoilers…
AS OPPOSED TO HER HEROUC SACRIFICE TO SAVE REALITY in the comic series, Supergirl’s death accomplished ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Flaspoint series was sick they just wasted all the build up made by it :/ all those 10 ~ ish movies were the biggest cartoon movie ever made
Wait... pardon my ignorance, I don't keep up with the animated movies. I've been interested in this trilogy because I thought it was a faithful adaptation of the Crisis comic. Is that not the case?
Why did lex say your welcome to batsy?
I believe this new Prime Earth is James Gunn’s DCU
Aren't there more crisis so are they not covering those?
So they rebooted into the Gunn verse?
Im not a big dc fan but i love when they take risks always more exciting
I think that if they wanted to make a good movie trilogy they should have had the each one of the movies focus on a specific justice league, the first one being the tomorrowverse the second being the justice league dark universe and the final being the timmverse have Batman have his final moments fighting the joker while the justice league trying to stop the anti monitor surviving in the bleed with joining the other leagues but I guess it’s to hard to animate one style then have many for these movies exceptions for short cameos and static shots.
That's your opinion... not the best thing dc did but still good enough, even in their worst condition, dc still has better anmitions than Marvel shit ..and dc has much more success than failure in their anmited universe ..but some people always focusing on the bad side, and for you information alot of people liked this movie..so
far dc anmited shows are fire I watched the new batman series and it's awesome and I can't wait for the creatures comandos..who's knows maybe the era after infinite crisis will be much better 😊
My idea is simple. Lose the crappy animation
Also I don't understand a few things:
He can control anyone, especially with some power of the monitor in him at that point in time 🤦♂️
4) why did a version of doctor faith give doctor spectro the ability to move from Universe to universe????? I think this happened in part 2
And there r so many more questions of this trilogy that makes no sense or is just unclear.... Hate it
I really liked the Long Halloween.
Wasn’t a big fan of the animation style but I definitely didn’t hate it the way a lot of people apparently did
It’s not over. DC eliminated the alternate universes once before, but eventually they came back. They will again. They are necessary. How else can you explore alternative options? DC used “Imaginary Stories,” but eventually readers wanted more than one shot deals.
charles lied to me he said it’s spider-man it was superman😔
Please, this was not even close to the original source.
@@dlv0187 Watched the first movie and checked out. This was absolute drivel. Could not bring myself to watch two and three given how bad one was. How they messed this up so badly is amazing. They LITERALLY had a step by step blueprint on how to go about this and they messed it up.
@@dlv0187it absolutely was but with stuff added, rearranged and more modern. I love the original graphic novel it’s a landmark book in comics but I also really this trilogy of adaptations
All their gonna do is have some sort of future event to resplit the multiverse again.
I think its pointless.
All of this started with Flashpoint Paradox. Its just doesn’t satisfy the journey started by what started the DC animated streak
I thought I was the only one who hated the animation style in the 3rd movie and did not like the 3rd movie at all.
They didn't do it like the 12 issue comic book that's why it was terrible.
It's very good , go watch it, all three.
Um… I kinda did?
lol when a newbee does review. anyway its a justice movie and its ended well despite the weak previous movie
discord.gg/gfXScPqQb6 Here is the discord! Comic con just happened and we've been talking so MUCH about the new stuff that dropped there.
honestly this movie can be described one way: "WAY to soon"
Wasting time with movies like warworld (too son) and then wasting the evil green latern arc (WAY to soon), shit was all over the place and it kinda seems like they were trying to just get those panels to be shown to the public in a movie like format, my hope going forward with DC is they just let shit breath you know?
These were the worst DC animated movies ever made I don't know who took over but they need to get rid of them
The 3 movies are parts of a nothing burger sprinkled with nonsense and boredom.
what are you blabbering about ive read crisis i thought the animated movie was ok i give props for doing something differnt
I loved all 3 movies
that trilogy was a load of nonsense
Crisis was good 👍🏽
I still don't get that ending I just know I don't like it
Dude, that last scene of Conroy and Hamill was terrible, stop kidding yourself.
It's nostalgia bait, it's not even dcau batman as the tomarrowverse multiverse is a multiverse with no darkseid
Something the dcau clearly has
Its cheap bait to draw attention, it's designed like dcau and voiced by conroy for clout yet in reality
Its a brand new version, we never seen before.
Its simple pandering
The scene didt even do anything for the larger narrative
Yeah, we just get to see another iconic version of Kevin Conroy's Batman die. His last 2 performances were just him dying. How disrespectful
Man.... Shut up.
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lpSaying Conroy’s last performances had his character dying by itself isn’t disrespectful, what matters is how they execute. But even if both deaths are bad, it’s wrong to say it’s disrespectful to Kevin Conroy because there’s nothing to prove that he didn’t enjoy his time voicing Batman in both.
It was crap ..
Why are you bring up joker and Batman ?? lol 😂 click bait
… what are you talking about? Are you crazy?
@ your title says otherwise. Maybe title it better weirdo
Butthurt 😂😂
Bruh you are just speaking gibberish Batman and joker are in the movie. They aren’t in the title. You good bro?
It’s called trolling you weirdo lol 😂
