THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE DON'T TRUST OUR PUBLIC OFFICIALS!!! THEY CAN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE McCOYS ACTUALLY MADE THE FIND!!! THERE'S A PERSONAL VIDEO OF FRED McCOY DOING JUST THAT!!! THE McCOYS DESERVE A PUBLIC APOLOGY!!!
These were the same police that met the McCOYS under the tower and wished them good luck on the search. Thanks to Fred & Shirley McCoy for finding Joseph Couch.
The Mcoys better get that reward they are on video finding that body and there was NOT any troopers in that video at the time the body was found...I realize Law Enforcement and all the other agency worked very hard BUT I think there has been enough back patting over this GIVE CREDIT TO THE MCOYS...Hundreds of people have already seen the Mcoys video..

There were no troopers around when the body was found!!!!!
They were around bc in the video the McCoy's yell at them several times. They were within yelling distance. But no, the police didn't find the body, the McCoy's did, but they were all in the same area together. Go watch the video the McCoy's put up when they find the body. The officers made them identify themselves when they enter the area. They are all yelling back and forth, but still, law enforcement was there. I don't even like LEO, but they were in the woods and in the area already when the McCoy's arrive on scene.
The Troopers and the McCoys stumbled upon an unidentified body. 🤔 No the McCoys did and then yelled out I found him to the Troopers.

The Kentucky Troopers shouldn't be taking credit for any of it. The McCoys were the ones who found the body. Troopers had already searched that area with dogs and found nothing from previous reporting.

Question. Question. Question. Why didn't the police use a dog to sniff the items left behind by the shooter and track him down within a few hours? Many police departments have such dogs.

police FAILED .. they searched with trained dogs ..they gave up one day before the TH-camRS found the body .. .NO TROOPERS were with them when they found the body .. they lie ... they grandstand ..they did not do ANYTHING but respond to the youtubers who found the body ...the body was found RIGHT NEXT TO the exit where it started ... they FAILED to locate him even though he was right at the very spot where it started .. they FAILED .. the dogs FAILED .. the searchers FAILED .. the only reason they found the body was the public was out there doing the job for them ... THEY failed to find him . they FAILED to search the area ... he was located right under the noses of them all .. dogs failed big time .. police failed ... the TH-camRS were the ones who saved the residents .. enough of the grandstanding and back patting of these cops .. they FAILED to locate him...just sayin
Y'all are either lying or you didn't watch their video. There were absolutely troopers right there in the same area and they had to yell and identify themselves to the troopers at one point in the video. The McCoy's laid eyes on the body first, yes but to say they weren't around is bs. They were using the buzzards as a guide too. The McCoy's just stumbled onto him first. Nobody could've found him with him being dead and not giving off a heat signature UNTIL the buzzards started swarming the dead body. Y'all are ridiculous to think they could've covered that area in that thick overgrowth like that. If not for the buzzards, nobody would've found him. The dogs are the failures. They should've picked up on his scent. The officers were working and doing their best and I don't even like police officers. But the truth is the truth.

Lets start with telling the story correctly, the troopers were absolutely in the area when the body was discovered but they were ABSOLUTELY NOT there when it was discovered... Video NEVER lies. Glad it's over finally.
Yeah, exactly. When the McCoy's arrive they have to yell and identify themselves to the officers that were already there in the area searching. And I'm pretty sure at one point they even tell them to stay there and instead they keep searching the area. They even have footage of an officer, you can hardly see him through the brush, in their video. The McCoy's were the ones who visually saw the body first, yes, and I hope they get the money but the officers were also right there using the buzzards as a guide as well and the people who say otherwise are intentionally being dishonest.

Let’s see now. The McCoys said they saw a bunch of vultures overhead and moved on it. No disrespect at all but there must be something missing from this story.

My thought too or he was out of the area. Cadaver dogs missed this? WOW! Dead bodies start stinking pretty quickly. Especially for a dogs nose. Fido definitely wasn't on his A game for sure. I'm sure everyone tried their best so all involved deserve a big Thank You. Fred McCoy got her done though.

The McCoys deserve ALL the reward... KSP is WRONG for taken any credit bc they searched for days and came up with NOTHING! They wouldnt of found the body if it wasn't for the McCoys. Period! Why put up a reward if it is not gonna be put out? Goes to ahow how CROOKED COPS ARE!!!!

Sometimes; the issue with law enforcement departments is not what they could or could not do. It's not what they did or did not do; the issue is the blatant and seemingly intentional ignorance that is chosen as an excuse for their lack of accountability. This entire department deserves the rest of the country to assume that they are just another bonnie fife eating donuts.
