- I walk through Boston's Beacon Hill during the Holiday Season. The neighborhood is a metonym for the state government or the legislature. The Massachusetts State House sits on top of the hill, and overlooks Downtown Boston. I start off at Charles Street, which is lined with locally owned businesses decorated for the holidays. I then make my way to the well-known Acorn Street before making my way through the hill and around the State House.

I lived on Beacon Hill back in the early 1980's, on Chestnut street just above Cedar and about 3 blocks down from the state house. I realize now what a special time that was -- I was just a kid from New Mexico -- the first thing I did was walk down to an outdoor Boston pops concert on the Charles River. Thanks for bringing back great memories!
AK…….love your walking tours. Lived in Boston (South End and Harvard Square) all my life till health issues and the cold winters drove me to a warmer, gentler clime. Miss the area terribly. So much history and charm with a lingering English feel. Very walkable with one neighborhood after the other, a feast for the architectural eye. Your videos not only. bring back wonderful memories, but make me feel as if I am still there and never left! I also want to comment on your New York videos. I worked in Midtown some time ago, and spent a great deal of time in Manhattan. Miss that as well!! Love strolling through the East Side, the Village , theatre district, etc. with you. Great work!!!
