In my little trailer I have the Fantastic fan with the rain sensor. Very nice to be able to leave the trailer and not worry about a sudden rain storm soaking the bed. Just a few drops of rain and it closes and reopens when the rain stops. Thermostatically controlled. Well worth the extra bucks.
Dying on the inside to take a magic eraser to everything in your van! I even remember you (Bec) mentioning how you regret the white! My SO and I will be starting our van build soon, and I'm wondering just how much I'm underestimating how dirty the thing will get - FAST. Anyways I want thank you two for being so real and authentic on camera. It's super refreshing....you both genuinely have the personalities for it. Y'all are Killin it.
My kids and I just giggled uncontrollably at the sneezure!!! And they love watching👀👀, we can’t wait to start our own van life adventure (mom and 2 kiddos)🖤💛🖤💛🖤
We are 2 students (married) in London, Ontario and we are in the beginning stages of building our van so these videos help so much. Thanks for your honesty!
“Sneeze-ure” that is dead on! My daughter does this, after about the 5th sneeze I tell her she just wants attention now lol. I love yalls van, I really enjoy that it’s not all wood/ brown colored. One thing I really like is yalls spice magnets on your fridge! Have wonderful day!!
Just discovering van life and obsessing over learning. We own a 15 passenger Chevy van with not enough height , but still thinking we will use it. Love seeing these types of videos! My youngest is still at home , so in another year or so we will be wanting to travel, so will take our time. One last note, my best friend is a Canadian transplant, now living in Virginia and I cannot wait to surprise her with your Chai!
Eamon, I've been dealing with almost daily sneizure's since my teens. Minimum of 12 sneezes then my sinuses drain and I have to double up on the tissues when I blow my nose. My doctor told me that I suffered from Post Nasal Drip when I told him about it. You're the first person I've heard that experiences this. Every time I have sneizures someone always asks "Are you getting a cold?". Funny thing is though, I've never had a cold, so small price to pay. Love your channel guys. Bob's van is shaping up nicely. Let Bob know I'm jealous cause I'm planning on doing a Sprinter conversion when I retire in 3 years.
And by the way... I love you both... so natural and friendly the way you relate in front of the camera. Bec... I'm a Rebeca too! You're awesome! Regards
Adding another vent in the van will definitely be beneficial and something you can do now(fresh air). You guys like to cook, a bigger refrigerator is something that you need and the water tank idea sounds great. Bec I love your facial expression 😦when you were watching Eamon sneezing 🤧. Love this episode, learning a lot for my future build. I like your layout it’s simple and that is what I want.
Bec- that company knixwear’s customer service is incredible. I wrote them a thank you. I’ve never done that for a business before. It took me my surprise how much they believe in making things simple for the customer and spreading their business through positive reviews. I loved the bra I got. Tank didn’t quite fit me right- but let’s just say they made me a supporter. Thanks for the rec.
Duly noted..in your SPARE time, you can tackle the small stuff in your van. Lol..oh Bec's face was priceless when Eamon was sneezing.. Happy Sunday guys
Make sure you don’t hold those sneezes!! My cousin just had to have vertebrae’s fused because he held his sneezes. The doctor in Houston said that it is more common than people know. A lady held her sneezes & has been paralyzed for 2 years now. Crazy , I know, but I’ll never hold another sneeze!! Love y’all’s videos!! Have learned a lot. Will begin van life in the next few months.
OMG!! My husband does that sneezing thing every day and has since I met him 38 years ago. So, obviously we have never found anything that fixes it. I call it the sneezles. I watch your videos all the time and recently showed them to my husband. We live in NY and my kids live in NC so we travel down there. I have an auto-immune so I would rather make that trip a two day trip but because you hear so much about bed bugs at hotels I'm leery. The van is a great option. Thanks for making the videos and sharing all the neat ideas.
Sneezing fit and subsequent faces made to prevent more was hysterical! ( FYI my father has had these sneezing fits as long as I’ve known him- my mom responds “quit it!” “That’s enough!” “Oh here we go!” 😁)
I am a believer in the tri-fold style of bed/couch over the garage with a roll out storage bench. Good seating and easy bed set up. We had an old vintage camper that worked that way. It was pretty darn nice. Just my two cents.
It honestly makes me feel better that your wood isn't exactly lined up with the walls and whatnot. I did the woodwork by myself in my van and it's a little off, I kept comparing everyone else's perfect looking vans look on TH-cam. It's good to know that maybe from an outsider my van might look perfect too lol Love the content!
Chalk paint that white up, then cover with a clear wipeable.... bottom cupboards a light chalk grey or other antique washed colour, upper white. It will up the anti 👊🏼. Plus under bottom cupboard sneak a under cabinet led strip,
For the sneezing crises, you should try to push your tong on your palate (roof of your mouth) is supposed to create a surpression in your air nose system, it can stop the sneezing crises, it works for me
Love the white. Like living in a house, there are some jobs that don't go away - just a fresh coat of paint now and then and Trinity will be sparkly as new! Creating some kind of vent for air flow, like you said, will be a wonderful home improvement too! Nothing is perfect, but Trinity comes pretty close and in only 30 days!
1st the good. Bec, you are really looking so fit & healthy in this video. Its so obvious how much you love Eamon to!! That why I subscribe to your channel. Point #2. Eamon has let a dog lick him on his lips. Last video he was licking the knives clean. He has freely admitted to crapping in a box numerous times. When he lets his hair down he has a pretty wild look. Bec, you might be engaged to a bigfoot. Lol you two are great.
Love how u keep it real. Sorry about your sneeze issue but it's awesome that u trust us to show us the real u! Bed 🏆creative pull out slate that makes a bench. 🏆
Great video but no build on Bob's van today! Couldn't you replace the fan with a more powerful one? Rebuild the bed and dump the 2x4s and use 4" wide 1/4" thick slats mounted on a 2x2 frame. Far lighter and easier to position into either bed or couch mode. We'll wait impatiently and see what Bob does. Definitely agree with using the sprayfoam and lighter wood on the walls. Keep things light. That'll give more opportunities for heavy stuff like a 25 gal water tank. Absolutely love watching you two. Wide nostril syndrome doesn't look like fun. Eamon must be inhaling pollen and dust, given their business is right beside a busy freeway and it is springtime in TO land. Looking forward to the continuation of Bob's van build.
My boyfriend has "sneezures" too. The smallest amount of sneezes he does in a row are 4, but that's rare. Lol. Usually it's 7. Like you, Beck, I kinda feel them comin' and I brace myself. Sometimes I even cover my ears because his sneezes are thunderous!
Good vid guys, my suggestion would be to repaint your white walls and cabinets with Gloss Enamel paint (often used on skirting and door frames) You’d have to leave it to dry and air out for a few days (ok while you’re in the office) but then it’ll be heaps more resilient and wipeable ;)
Hi guys, great video :) We have bought already converted Sprinter, and have some of your points already installed, and even improved ourselves, built many drawers in....but still missing powered vent!!!! And are going to change flooring to see what the previous owners did....they hat a professional carpenter do all the work, and they never even used the van after it was done...so there are some solutions they wanted which are not practical...but then again, we live in a house and only make round trips in it, as we have more than 6 months off work season...and only in colder months...so heating and staying warm and dry is most important !!! Hugs from Croatia
This is one of the best videos I have seen on this subject. Everything you said is so relevant. I'm thinking of trying this lifestyle and love the tips in this video and the super funny one that shows Eamon poking you, wanting to play basketball. Loved that one too. Especially the extreme temperature. The extreme temp part of that video is really making me think that I may not be able to do this. I have health issues and temperature sensitivity is huge. It's important for me to know!
I am glad my sneezes tickle as I sometimes sneeze into double digits, reminds me of my dear mother in law. Its a rush...cleansing process. Funny to run into this so far down the road
Jordan Tomasone The RV's have the fridges like they have but I've noticed alot of van lifers are going with the top loading ones. I just saw a Dometic top loading one in a Nissan NV2500 conversion. I wish I could remember the reason they're better.
Inventor chick thanks! I was looking into those ones but I thought I could save on a small one. Now I will go bigger. They are better because heat rises. So if you open up the top, only the warm air escapes. If you open up the side, both warm and cold air escape 🤙
My boyfriends best friend sneezes like 6 times at a time, it’s like super crazy and it’s like every second. It’s like a CD skipping. It’s not big sneezes either, they’re like all piggybacking on each other. I also have never met anyone who this happens to hahahha his sneezures astound me.
I have sneeizures every time I sneeze.🤣🤣 Always 6 times in a row! You are the only other person I've seen do this. Haha. Happy there are others with this syndrome!
Can totally relate to the sneezures buddy! Haha. Loving seeing the two of you everyday! Hello Mexico withdraw. Ha. This might be better. Bobs a real star.
I worked at Dulux Paints for 6 years. They have a product called Diamond which has ground ceramic in it which makes it super durable. Also, the higher the gloss the easier to clean, but also easier to see dents and scratches. The pearl finish is a nice finish between eggshell and semi-gloss 😊
The ideal air intake is on the floor with a metal mesh and screen to let coor air from under the van to be sucked up by the fan above. You can put a wooden cover over the whole
While I don"t have any allergies, I have crazy episodes of sneezing, I can go 20-40 sneezes one after the other. After the first couple it is really quite annoying. I've hurt my back a couple of times. Good luck Eamon.
P.S. In addition, if you made one of the flares an openable window with screen, that could help with ventilation. They can be made to lock partway open for security. Hope this helps with your goals! Love your videos.
Hey bud. I watched the Light set off the beginning of your sneeze reaction. We, the Goldstein’s , share a SINUS reaction to the bright light, my grandfather, father, and now I all have a sensitive sinus that in the bright..like often at stepping outside... As your licensed optician I can say a Polarized sunglass could have you not sneezing .. nthe polarized lens cuts 50% of the light. Hope you find this cuts that reaction from beginning in the first place . Love you both.. can’t wait to binge your new conversion..Jesse
I happened to get a deal on a van with darkly tinted windows all around. So I went with total white, and it worked to make all bright amd cheery, right through those dark windows
Dude sneezures are the worst. I feel you, my allergies are whack. The only thing that's ever helped is washing my face and thats.. not always helpful. Good luck man, you're not alone. 😭
I’ve nearly watched all of your videos now. I can’t wait for you new vids. I wouldn’t change anything about your van I love it. I’m looking to convert a van next year I feel that mine will nearly mirror your van. The only difference bing mine would be a right hand drive. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
I do that too! Sneeze 15 times in a row. I can't help you, I don't know why it happens. My mom does too and I've never met anyone else that does this. I'm not alone. lol
These is nothing stopping you making a lot of those changes to your van, like kitchen lights, the finishing bits, pulling up the floor outside the bed area and adding insulation. Changing a fan is no biggie. As your van is liveable you can take your time and buy better class of appliances. For a fridge I am looking at building my own using the same device that is used to cool computers. I might even put three of them in the van to cool it in summer. My best advice is while you are doing Bobs van go over your own as you now have momentum. It will be far easier than waiting until after Bobs build when you will just be tired of it all.
I like your build! What I would probably change is instead of the storage on top, I would put it lower because I’m short I won’t be able to see anything. Also a place to put shoes Idk where y’all put shoes! And another thing I would change is what you mentioned about not having enough space between the bed and the back door. I like the wood and the white but I get your point of it being hard to clean! I like the rustic vibe of the wood though
Getting a bigger refrigerator is definitely a plus of course you guys don't need a freezer but heads up... Don't get another one that opens the door out like that because the cold air falls down and any frigerator that the door opens outward and you lose a lot of your Cooling... If you get another Dometic where it opens upward from the top you don't lose your cold air
thank you I am fixing up my 94 g20 high top your insight is very helpful also I suffer from sneezing fits from no where I am retireing in 12 months wont be full time but long trips again thanks bob
Eamon! I use Claritin it helps so much with the sneezures!! I get them during allergy season, each time they come I have like 10 in a row, they are so annoying! I take it 3 months out of the year like spring/ summer and it really helps!
Something you can try that I do is get a spray bottle of white vinegar and use to to clean your dishes. Just spray on a little , let it set a few seconds and then use a paper towel to wipe it off. I have been doing this for years, living in my rV, and really save on my water usage.
Wow those sneezes! 😂 Awesome video from you guys. Great tips and advice too. We have bought our van mostly converted but have taken on your ideas. Thank you. Love all your videos and content, great as always and so helpful for us. Lots of love. Lou xxxx
Ramon for your sneezeures. Dice up an inch of ginger. Put in a cup of boiling water & let it simmer for 3 minutes. Add one heaping teaspoon of organic honey to the water. Fill your coffee mug. BAMM! Sneezes gone!
I don’t know if you can get Behr paint in Toronto, I would assume so since you have Home Depot there, but it is worth it to get top of the line paint and it WILL wipe clean. Guaranteed. I used to try to save money on paint and couldn’t keep walls clean or whatever. Now I know. And even change the kick plate to semigloss. It won’t be noticeable down at the floor under cupboards etc. and it will wipe even easier. I use eggshell paint not flat. It has just enough sheen to it that it still looks almost flat but is easier to clean. So next time you have to paint I hope this will help.
Hey guys I really enjoy watching your van build videos, and find them all super helpful. We are currently fixing up our long wheelbase sprinter at the moment and have been using your videos a lot as we are going along. Keep them coming!!!
Really enjoying this van build series. I find it especially useful that you are comparing the two builds! I like the editing and the next-day-previews add dimension and incentive to watch. Perhaps the extra sneezing could be colon-related?! All the best to you both and Bob and your friends and family. Cute puppies too! 🐶 🐶
I'm exactly the same. I can't just do one or two sneazes. Always 5 or more at a minimum. I feel it's more effective at ridding the pollen than just one or two anyways. At least you know it's gone after 8 sneazes 😀
Different paint would make a world of difference. Still white but prime and paint with quality paint. Good grief! People sneeze and blow their nose. Bec and Eamon are real people. They can talk about a pee funnel but Eamon can't blow his nose? Lol
Hey guys. I actually love you guys layout (couch to bed portion). The upgrades sound key tho! Thanks for the vid. When I think about my van build, I get torn between you guys, and sara and alex's (couch to bed portion.
I used to have terrible allergies in the spring until I moved to Florida. I would relocate in the spring somewhere where your allergies aren't being aggitated. I'm too familiar with the sneeze seizures.
We've seen heaps of vanlifers who are into music (take Minimal Millennials as an example) who build a fixed bed to fit all their music gears underneath the bed!

Another great video, it’s fun watching you help Bob build his van and the lessons you’re learning are really helpful too. Bec, I absolutely love the white in your van and agree that it makes the space seem bigger. If you sanded it again and then painted it a couple of coats with a washable white paint that would fix the problem - easy. Do you guys think you’ll ever make any changes to your van ie another fan or vent over the bed? Also, what’s your view on having windows? Do they make it too hard to keep a van warm because you can’t insulate them, etc?
definitely an appreciated vid to keep in mind for my future van build endeavors! also my partner suffers from the same excessive sneezing problem! I always thought it was just super sensitive allergies but it happens a lot~
sneezures? I have the saaaaame thing happen to me, its never-ever just one! I have no solution except for telling people that they only need to say "bless you" the first time because there WILL be more
About the sneeze, you might be allergic or supersensitive to pollen. It's commun for people to develop it during the spring, espacially if it's get stuck in the fan ;) I don't see any sign that you're allergic but you should see a doctor, it can get worse. (Allergic reactions/anaphylactic shock can be really bad, especially if it's happens when you're far away from the hospital)
REFRIG/freezer Dometic CFX-95DZUS Dual Zone Portable Electric Refrigerator/Freezer 90 Quarts...this brand has smaller units. This is the unit I personally would purchase for my conversion. Also I would use oil base stain/paint...you can wipe it clean 🧼 all the time. Hey with the sneezures try Allegra 24 hr. Works year round. You two keep me in stitches 🧵. BTW your pee funnel invention is great. Need video on exactly how you installed & sealed this apparatus.
Great video and edit ;-) I'm picking up my sprinter on Wednesday this week and then my project starts. Will most likely do a vlog as well to document the built.
I really like your build especially the solution for the mixer :) but what do you do about the water when it's freezing outside? Do you heat the van a little bit all the time?
Omg guys love the edit. Love the real life feel. And sneizure? I cried with laughter... keep them coming you two legends
Hahha thanks Nicholas!! Glad you enjoy seeing the good, the bad and the ugly!

Oh oops I commented before watching all the way through! I see it's on your list!
You two are great entertainment. The van knowledge is great too.

Exactly the type of advice I needed for my own build! Cant thank you two enough for these videos.
I have that exact same sneezing problem... It's like a chain of endless sneezes.
I am working on building out a van, and this is really helpful - thanks!
Chalk paint that white up, then cover with a clear wipeable.... bottom cupboards a light chalk grey or other antique washed colour, upper white. It will up the anti 👊🏼. Plus under bottom cupboard sneak a under cabinet led strip,
Zahara Celina chalk paint. The most over rated paint... use furniture paint it’s stronger and you won’t need a top coat,.. my opion
Chalk paint is nice for a year, but if you have to clean something hard up, you will rub the topcoat and paint away..
For the sneezing crises, you should try to push your tong on your palate (roof of your mouth) is supposed to create a surpression in your air nose system, it can stop the sneezing crises, it works for me

Eamon looks like Colin Farrell ! Bless you. Hope you're feeling better.

Also, to keep the white white, make sure the surface is a very glossy one. Maybe even glue on white laminate instead of paint.
I'm not alone. lol
Eamon kills me, seriously hilarious, it maybe annoying bless him.........but he’s just so naturally funny!
Bec is so into you and loves you very much lol it's so cute to watch
sounds like me when my allergies are being frisky 🤣 rapid fire sneezes! Bless you!!
I am loving your outfit here, Bec.
Oh, well thank you love! XX
Honest and helpful, thanks. What about a Murphy bed design - gives easy change between lounge and bedroom. Also, wouldn’t you like a toilet?
Getting a bigger refrigerator is definitely a plus of course you guys don't need a freezer but heads up... Don't get another one that opens the door out like that because the cold air falls down and any frigerator that the door opens outward and you lose a lot of your Cooling... If you get another Dometic where it opens upward from the top you don't lose your cold air
This is a great tip! Is there a Dometic fridge (that has a compartment with a freezer) that you would recommend?
I get the sneezures as well! So glad I'm not the only one! 😂 Love you guys ❤
thank you I am fixing up my 94 g20 high top your insight is very helpful also I suffer from sneezing fits from no where I am retireing in 12 months wont be full time but long trips again thanks bob
if you like white then you could lacqour/ polyeurethane over the top of the white paint, it makes it much more durable and very easy to wipe clean.
I always sneeze seven times in a row! I feel you're pain!
Eamon! I use Claritin it helps so much with the sneezures!! I get them during allergy season, each time they come I have like 10 in a row, they are so annoying! I take it 3 months out of the year like spring/ summer and it really helps!
Eamon's face at 6:43 🤣 I think I pulled a tendon laughing.
ME ✋🏻 I sneeze like that also. I feel your pain. 😅
Good video. It looks like Eamon got some new clothing! I’m unplugging for a few months when I go into the forest. I’ll catch you next fall.
"You've got some snot on your face." - That's real life love.
Lol
use a netti-pot. Saved my wifes allergies! Love the videos. Keep them coming. Cheers from Vancouver!
Love your van! Just change the white and keep bed down get rid of huge table!
I sneeze a million times too! But mine are rapid fire. 😂
How are you guys liking the spray insulation so far in Bob's van?
So far we're really liking it!! Hard to compare because we're not living in it yet but I think we've done a much better job insulating on this build.
You've just inspired myself and my fiance to live in a van. I'm not sure if I could fit all my musician stuff in the van though!!
We've seen heaps of vanlifers who are into music (take Minimal Millennials as an example) who build a fixed bed to fit all their music gears underneath the bed!
We've seen heaps of vanlifers who are into music (take Minimal Millennials as an example) who build a fixed bed to fit all their music gears underneath the bed!
oh ya? There's enough space for guitars there? What about an amp?
Ah I see, thank you for the tip!
🙄you make the garage under your bed tall enough to put your stuff underneath it! Doh.🤣🤣
Eamon sounds like baby elephant when he has his sneezures 😂❤
What kind of fan do you recommend if you can do it again or replace? You’re right with spending the extra money. Thank you for the info!
I love the dailys 😍
definitely an appreciated vid to keep in mind for my future van build endeavors!
also my partner suffers from the same excessive sneezing problem! I always thought it was just super sensitive allergies but it happens a lot~
That's awesome and exactly why we made this video... for future van dwellers who may be curious about a build similar to ours!!
Excellent video and very informative.
sneezures? I have the saaaaame thing happen to me, its never-ever just one! I have no solution except for telling people that they only need to say "bless you" the first time because there WILL be more
About the sneeze, you might be allergic or supersensitive to pollen. It's commun for people to develop it during the spring, espacially if it's get stuck in the fan ;)
I don't see any sign that you're allergic but you should see a doctor, it can get worse.
Great video and edit ;-)
I'm picking up my sprinter on Wednesday this week and then my project starts.
Will most likely do a vlog as well to document the built.
That's awesome! Enjoy the big adventure :)
I really like your build especially the solution for the mixer :) but what do you do about the water when it's freezing outside? Do you heat the van a little bit all the time?
Yes, exactly!! We learned the hard way that the Canadian winters are too harsh to not leave the heat on a little all day!
I think Linnea Larsson was asking about mounting the water tank outside... how would you keep it from freezing in the winter?
hahahahaha becs face during the sneezure!!
