I think Lee had the draw the line somewhere, as much as I enjoy them rambling on in their reviews.. there's usually some good background info thrown in. I could see these namm vids having been 1.5hrs each manufacturer if they spoke about every player, wood, finish.

I enjoyed that. It's great that you show some interesting things like that which Anderton's doesn't even sell! In case anybody else missed the name of the company that made the whacky guitars with the dolls and stuff inside, I think it's Spalt Instruments, from Vienna. Nothing to do with me - I was just curious.

Custom guitar stand. The last maker on the first stand that had the figures in are 'Spalt' guitars. He used to be based in the USA but has now returned to his native Vienna. I have a Spalt guitar and they are marvellous. Can be bought in the UK only at The North American Guitar.

Bryan Hopkins....I agree 100%. Anderton's vids kicked Ass this year!!! I heard Tone Kings post webcast and he seemed "deflated" by Andertons coverage. TTK used to pride himself as being first and putting out the most vids. He claims he's just doing only what he likes but I think we know that Andertons just basically kicked ass, no two ways about it. I think that Chapman incident really got to the best of TTK.

Deimel guitars are really awesome. They are handmade in Berlin and they have some really innovative features like piezo disks picking up the body vibration and an optional thing that blends back and forth between the pickups with adjustable speed to simulate a kind of leslie sound. Also they have the most rock'n'roll bass you've ever seen! Would love Andertons to get some and make a video with them.
Also thank you so much for the great Namm coverage. Love it!!!

Yeah they are quite amazing. Very tasteful, modern retro style and well crafted. Very good prices too even if they are a bit out of my budget still. I wish they would take those designs and do a more budget oriented series in the €1000-1500 range. I think they would sell really well.

Danish Pete's sense of humour doesn't really translate to North America, but he's so cheerful that you gotta love him. Captain's sense of humour is cringe-worthy, like Michael Scott from The Office. Schoolboy sexual innuendos, tired "that's what she said" jokes etc. Chappers isn't much better but there's warmth behind it.
