Thanks for posting this video..I group in Perth yet had to leave for America when I was 9 as my parents decided to emigrate..my fav movie of all time is Local Hero, so your musical choice was spot on for me...I have such a bittersweet feeling about Scotland...it's the land of my youth yet America is my country now...again, thanks for making my night by viewing this...I spent many a day watching trains from the old train stationing per in them50's..

Great video. Could have done with the station titles lasting at least a second or two.

Scotrail. The only train service that's slower than doing the bloody journey by car.

Been to UK twice in last 10 years. Done this trip 3 times, twice on the sleeper. I love the country during the day & for all its twists & turns the sleeper is a very smooth ride. Inverness I just love, like a nice woman, can’t really pin down why!

turn the playback speed down to 0.25 and mute the sound.

Pretty sure this is the promotional video for HS3 that Wilfred Johnson uses in his 2064 campaign for the re-unification of Scotland and England.
Well, remember that Japan had all this in the 20th century while our rural lines were destroyed and the north left to crumble.

Now you have seen it, you can drive this route, using the MSTS train simulator, this complete route (including the hills, speed limits and scenery) is available for download off the enthusiasts website. Recommend it

dropitaly Perth. Inverness is a disappointing place surrounded by outstanding countryside.

+Haggis Supper I've thought about moving to Inverness a few times but with 7 kids,it's just not that simple.maybe one day.its because of what you say about its surroundings

@@haggissupper7779 Perth is actually a complete shithhole , pretending to be a city with the smaller population than Inverness, which has a decent airport compared to Perths airstrip. I live in Perth, Inverness is a thousand times better

I'd say Perth. It's fair to say both places are in beautiful countryside and should make more of that. Inverness has some pretty bleak and depressing parts. Perth although not perfect has parks that are lovely and the banks of the Tay are pretty.

This is ripped from a commercially-available cab view video, which explains the very brief place-labels. Should be taken off YT
