Boras is just the best. A good player is not someone who just plays well but someone who helps the community. And he is just the best at both.
Jockey on Manual is good for beating agility and skill moves. On assisted if the guy turns to another side suddenly your slowed movement beats you. I've been using manual and can say it's easier to beat skills now.
If that works for you then go for it! I'm on assisted and have no problems whatsoever to defend skillmoves.

you've missed a key point of the jockey, your player will match the opponents speed! This is a pain for pressing!!! You will move around a lot free and faster on manual, but yes you can to be careful with inputting movement but its way better for pressure playing.
So manual is better you think?

It is assisted but you are still on your own. It will just help you to correct the speed sometimes. Good luck!

I think full manual should be much more encouraged though. Do an offline cup to get used to it. Once mastered it's down to you and your composure. It's great executing a phase of play unaided.

Pass block will not always help you as EA can decide when your player should make auto interceptions, and let the ball go through your legs instead. It happen quite often to me.
Btw. About the keeper. I use manual becouse i like to use the triangle button to tried to save. But i feel if i use it on assisted the goal keeper go out when he should not 🙂 IT is Just in my head or is it like this?

What monitor do you play on Boras
Am I the only one with the problem that my tele broadcast height 20 zoom 0 camera angle, is so much more different in weekend league, its a lot lower and zoomed in, and I dont get the same thing that i have in rivals etc. I know stadiums affect the camera height etc, but with me it’s like my tele broadcast settings aren’t customized. Does anyone have a solution for this? Please reply! Also I don’t see this problem with yourubers who play these settings.
Same.sometimes I can t even see what i supposed to do.
Every stadium has its own camera angle, fut is played on FeWC stadium, try make that your default stadium that way you can get use to the same camera angle at all modes.
i find out that even if i have the auto switching on manual it would sometimes auto switch a player when im defending in the box. Also i have problem changing players with the right analog, no matter if i use ball or player relative.
Right stick switching for me is terrible . There are times where I try to switch to some1 right beside my player and I hit the stick 3 or 4 times without it switching
Right Stick switching is broken this year. The game doesn't select the closest player most of the time even if you point right towards them.
I have a question. I want to play together with a friend (xbox one) Just a normal game. However, he wants to play with the classic controller settings and I want to use alternative. But whatever I try the game put both controllers in classic mode or alternative mode. How can I solve this?

I got a notification of this video and ignored it thinking I did not need help with my settings. I thought there is nothing more I can learn and Boras is over here making me look dumb
I disagree about the shot assistence. I know it's harder. But semi shot assistrnce gives you so much control on long shots and finishes, everybody should train like hell on semi assisted shots.
I spent a lot of time with that advanced finishing skill game where you had to get the ball in various situations, pass the defender and beat the keeper somehow back in Fifa 13, it was hard at first but once perfected, my shots became oddly consistent.
And semi assisted shots are easier in fifa 20, you can do everything with them. Especially when timed finishing is on, it gives you a lot of control on the trajectory the ball will follow, bad shooters will again miss, or fail to hit where you aim at times, but finishes will be better. You will get away with more powerful shots, when done right, every sort of shot will be much more rewarding and you will be very punishing.
I used to have manual through balls too, but the game is all about timing these days and defensive ai is so good and the bar fills so slowly, it's impossible to control the power of the through ball so assisted through ball is not that needed.
But semi assisted shots are awesome ever since Fifa 12 came out

I switched it to manual and now I suck less now and conceive less goals against the A.I
you can see the settings he is using at the end of his comment to each point. the moment he switches to the next setting he leaves the previous one in the state he wants to: so he uses "Jockey" assisted.

My save and shot assistance are stuck at manual and greyed out in DR. My keeper is like a deer on ice and my shots are useless.
Didn't realise the bugs until quite late. My ranking in the meantime fell faster than the meteor that killed the dinosaurs

It shows greyed when u try to change it from select side option at start by pressing triangle.
But try changing it after u select ur team where u get these options
Play match ,team mgmt , game setting, controller setting
Here u select controller setting and should try changing it.
Or else just start your game and in game u pause and try.
I hope u understood at least something that im trying say.

after the updates. sometimes ea t u rn off my timed finishing and they also mess with ur in game tactics. i.e some times ill be on balanced or attacking. then i check and its on ultra defensive!! somethings fishy at ea.
