  • Moose - Giants of Sweden's Forests | Wildlife Documentary
Watch 'Norway: Land of Fjords, Islands and Vikings' here: • Norway: Land of Fjords...
Moose are an iconic species and of great importance to Sweden. That is why the country counts on a very special expert - the moose detective. Recently, a problem has developed on Öland regarding its moose. For a few years now on the island, the moose calves have been dying shortly after birth. It's a mystery. Every effort is made to save them. The island has called upon the moose detective to investigate. He follows several leads. Soon one of the suspects is identified - climate change.
But it is not easy to convict the culprit. There are other suspects as well, the food shortage for example. Maybe they have joined hands as accomplices.
In Sweden moose are very important. They are game and a magnet for tourists, but they also present a huge danger to traffic and the forestry itself. Equipped with a full team and a lot of high tech devices Fredrik investigates into the habits of moose to protect the population and to keep the potential of conflicts between moose and men as small as possible, all the way from the arctic circle to the island of Öland in southern Sweden. The award winning filmmaker Heiko De Groot tells a crime story with strong and emotional pictures. The scientist becomes a detective who follows his leads and leans from a helicopter with his dart gun like James Bond. It is a thrilling story about the king of the forest.

Time is short. Did you know, or do you understand that we must repent of our sins? Do you understand what sin is scripturally? (Sin is transgression of the law.) We must also believe on The Master YAHUSHA and receive the covering and witness of Him. Did you know that in Hebrew, the word "believe" means to "Trust and Obey," so we must Trust and Obey YAHUSHA.
Yes, faith saves you. But did you know that TRUE faith will produce obedience? If we have genuine faith, we will obey YAHUAH’S Law (TURAH.) and we will repent (which means to turn away from our sins and stop sinning willfully.) If we ignorantly stumble into sin (remember, sin is the transgression/breaking of the law) and trust in the Master YAHUSHA, He will forgive us. Favour is what allows us to be the men and women that YAHUAH the Father in Heaven called us to be. It allows us to obey through His SET-APART (HOLY) RUACH (SPIRIT). 🙂

My friend had a car crash in winter with a moose, their car was a write off and the moose died. Dark Swedish forest roads can be deadly. At least they walked away from the wreckage and got some good quality moose meat from the experience.

For people who are interested in whether or not they'd like to become a biologist, you can sign up with expeditions to be an assistant. I think it's unpaid, and you might have to cover your own experiences, but it can be the grandest of adventures!
Author Sy Montgomery goes on these expeditions to research her books.
The Tigers of the Sudarbans was one such adventure that led to a book. Another was studying pink dolphins in the Amazon's (they're the color of pepto bismol).

I'm sorry your friend had that happen to them. I've had a few near fatal accidents with white tail bucks so I can only imagine what a moose can do. I just try to remember that the animals don't wander onto roads out of any sort of malice. They're just as scared as we are. Its always important to know where high density animal populations are to try and either avoid them or drive as safely as we can. Whenever I ride in the passenger seat, I keep my eyes out for animals in the area cause if one is around, there's likely more nearby. I hope you and your friend's family can find some solace.

Unfortunately, with all the changes the humanity has already brought upon the wild nature and the wildlife, we cannot let animals live on their own. The nature's self-regulating capabilities are limited and there are too many human activity-related factors that can potentially wipe different species out entirely, from pollution and uncontrolled hunting to global warming. To preserve and safeguard the wildlife we MUST get involved, it's just a reality of the modern world. The concept of non-interference with the nature was thus abandoned in favor of monitoring and protecting.

@@adreabrooks11 sorry to disagree, it is called convenient human reasoning. It seems bizarre that someone "saving" moose does not have the strenght in himself not to eat them. Weak. And convenient. In fact, you and he (and the English usage) call it "harvest" to mask what it really is: killing. You harvest rye, peas. Every creature is an individual.

@@dybala_cr4151 Oh, no; there's no masking. It's killing - just as one would kill rye and peas. In order for one thing to live (in the long run), something else must die. Weakness is not owning up to this truth, and falling prey to the bio-imperialism that deludes us into thinking that the animal kingdom is superior to the kingdom of plant or fungus. Every creature is an individual.

I find Catholicism simpler. Look after yourself and others (including mooses), and Christ will take care of your soul.
