Was always told he was a villain because of how he left the pens. But he saved the franchise when scored those goals in the 2000 playoffs while injured. He put the team on his back when Mario was gone. Can’t wait to see his jersey go up.
He really deserves 68 retired along side 66 and 21. He was my favourite player as a teen. I remember well when he was traded to Washington because I was also moving to another city far away from my parents and live on my own. I still kept rooting for the Penguins, but I honestly had to think if Jagr was more important than the team for me. Of course it made things easier as Mario still remained with the Penguins.
Met Jagr before he won the Cup, only a "Hi" of course, and he had some funny hair and about 20 girls around him....he KNEW he was a GOD. and THEN he won.......I think he deserves to be a little arrogant, other NHL very good players have said he was the most impressive. Jagr is the elite of the elite of the elite, and I only think of him as a Penguin.
Bourque creates some bs about anyone he's jealous of. Jagr was never an egomaniac, however, he had every right to be. But he wasn't, and I've probably seen every interview of his. Bourque also does this with Kris Letang. He needs to grow up. It's more likely that Jagr avoided him due to Bourque's ego issues and jealousy. It's a known fact those guys were horrible to Jagr in the dressing room. Even Lemieux was jealous and treated him badly. Sorry to tell them all, Jagr will always be the best. Period
Stop lying - the one thing everyone knows is that Mario did NOT treat Jarda badly. He was impressed with his potential and play from the very beginning. And when you choose to make someone YOUR PROTÉGÉE - you DON’T treat them badly. If Mario had acted like that, especially since Jarda has idolized him since he was 12-13 - do you honestly think Jarda would’ve wanted to stay on the same team with him? And if he treated him badly, when he was the owner of the team, during the 99-00 season - during a period when Jarda was forced to miss 12-15 consecutive games due to injury - he wouldn’t have spent his time SITTING UP THERE IN THE OWNER’S BOX WITH MARIO DURING GAMES - chatting away and literally giggling their heads off together.
Lol Jagr is everything but arrogant, he never been. Confident and ambitious of course but also super humble. But get some people may get that impression especially when they dont him personally

He asked to be traded to benefit the franchise
When u think of Jagr u think of him in a Pittsburgh jersey. His 68 belongs besides Lemieux
💯
It will be....and the rafters eventually will hold 66, 68, 87, 71, 58, and 29.

I would love to be in the building the day the Penguins retire Jagrs jersey
Flames legend Jaromir Jagr.
Schalker Haie 87 legend
So we need to petition the NHL to have the Pens go overseas to Prague for a game.

You’re creating more BS than Bourque is with this post
