2024/11/24 A Thanksgiving Message- Where Are the Nine? Luke

We’re just a few days from a holiday that is often forgotten. Christmas is just a short month away and there’s so much to do! Who has time for a simple little holiday that focuses on giving thanks? Isn’t it ironic that as we head into the Christmas season, a season that is supposed to be about joy and peace; about the abundant grace shown by a loving God as He gave the greatest gift the world could ever receive- His own Son! For what purpose? To restore a relationship with Him that was ruined because of us! Our selfishness! Our sin! And what does Jesus offer us as a gift? Salvation! Purpose! Abundant life!! And yet…we don’t have time to be thankful.
This morning’s passage from the Bible speaks of men who didn’t have time to give thanks; or maybe they just assumed that it was understood. Whatever the case may be, thanks giving wasn’t on their mind. Let’s talk about it.
