I have worked for attorneys that have 40 years of client files that have never been organized or purged , let alone digitized for permanent storage. I love to do analog Organization. Initially opening this vid I thought to myself hmm I don’t really have any important documents I receive most things digital. Then thought about the car insurance card I need printed, the bag of receipts and paystubs under my desk, my birth certificate that I’m not really sure where it is or if I even still have it, my lease, the paperwork you’re supposed to keep in your car that I should probably have accessible if I ever get pulled over, etc. I think I need to gather and organize too 😅 Edit What’s up with the judgy comments yall? As someone with adhd this is pretty much what moving and organizing looks like for me. I probably seem a bit intense in the midst of it and get excited talking about it, but every time I do this my partner is grateful and impressed by how much I’ve improved our space. Organization esp in small spaces doesn’t happen naturally, it really helps to have a system and sometimes these systems take multiple versions to perfect. I like seeing how other peoples brains work 🤷🏽♀️
Most ADHD content is sbout the mental or abstract side. You are showing real daily shit. Thats awesome! My red, yellow, green lists that i use daily feel so much more justified!
The thing about digitizing your documents is that you can do a fuzzy search if you don't remember the exact name or date of something. You can also assign tags and notes that will help you find it later. Doesn't mean you have to throw the original away. You don't even have to scan the document, just make a digital index in a plain text file or spreadsheet, just something to describe what it is, where you got it, its purpose, when it might be useful, etc. Then you just hit Ctrl-F when you need to find something. Just an idea though. You seem to have a pretty good system. Might need an overflow area for when those binders get full is all.
Great ideas and presentation, thanks for sharing! I've always used hanging folders, but I like the color-coded binders concept a lot better. *Much* more portable, too! And, +1 for the Strong's Concordance 😁😇
Whatever works for you that's what you should do. You can always get a spare SD card for your phone or an external hard drive on your computer when you digital your documents and papers for later on your down time.

Groooovy little market and beach. The gal was a little persistent in her sales tactics 😂 I always have yo walk into the water to at least get my feet wet. I started doing this when I lived on the east coast and traveled to the west coast for the first time and dipped my feet in the Pacific, then I've been doing it ever since in lakes, great lakes, seas, etc. Id trade bread sticks for beautiful beach time any day 💜
That object permanence struggle… I like to use 3x5 name tag holders with index cards to label all drawers, bins, etc. Not permanent and easy to update.

@@julietteferrars3097 Every file has a tab sticking up that identifies what it is. Pretty simple. That's like asking how he's going to find the tomato sauce if I die tomorrow. He will look at the labels.
@@amylee6038 You never mentioned labels. 😅 My dad used filing cabinets too, but he would stuff anything and everything in them, completely unlabeled and mixed up. We always had to dig through old manuals, warranties, and invoice sheets just to find our social security cards and important documents. That's nice that your husband cares about keeping things orderly.

Guys are generally just better at this stuff, and in Asia we are perplexed (but grateful!) at how Western women are so at war with men, the denial of the obvious natural skills they have. This girl could still today land a guy that will rescue her. But she really got bit by the "never depend on a man" rattlesnake. The trick is learning how to identify a dependable man! In Asia, we know by 8 years old. So we marry the guys the Western women don't value... until they're in their 30's and it's too late.
@@amylee6038 I just said my dad was horrible with filing, so clearly it's not a male specific trait to be orderly. My dad was the one who cooked every meal while my mom handled the filing and finances properly because that's what they both preferred. Everyone should function according to their assets and skills, not their gender. Western culture is very different from Asian culture and that's okay. Western women are not denying the natural skills of men, they are instead asking that women's natural skills not be denied. I hope this helps clarify some misunderstandings about Western culture so we can both see the other person's perspective. Thank you for sharing your point of view.

Haha I never woulda described myself as analytical, but based on feedback it seems so 😂 I’ve felt overwhelmed most of my life due to telling myself “nobody else has to do things soooo…. You’re overthinking”. I’ve fully embraced it now and feel a million times better! Have decided negative on the storage unit 🙌
