- A brief walkaround and test drive of a 1996 Jaguar XJR6 X306 4.0 supercharged automatic. Looking very sharp in sapphire blue with black leather comfort interior.

Why does it sound so dry at around 4:40?
Yes it does sound strange on camera now that you point it out. It didn't really sound so pronounced in person. Probably a bit of wear on the supercharger coupler if I had to guess, there are many things can can be a bit worn on this engine at the mileage it has done, nothing much to worry about though, they are so robust. By the way this car now has a manual transmission!!!
@@Biggles I've found a MT X306 - will have a look at it next year I guess... They're asking just under 20K€ which is quite a price... What do you think? (It has done just over 160.000 Kms)
@@Huisjongste For and unrestored car 20k euros is a bit high. Of course they are very rare but the number of people who want them is low. If it has had lots of work done on it and has been really looked after then it might be worth around 20k, but you will have to take a long, hard look.
