@@maxiguess9922 basically a massive hedge fund company invested heavily in GameStop, banking if the stock plummets and goes bankrupt to make a profit. They had to post the shares they had because it was a rather hefty amount, people took notice, invested their own amount to make the stock price rise from about 10$ to over 300$ in less than a few days, thus bankrupting a basically 15 billion dollar hedge fund in less than a week, and now they’re doing it to dozens of other businesses that are on their ‘last legs’ and boosting the stock, costing the hedge funds and billionaires well... millions upon billions in less than a week.
@@phoenixrosebaxton990 A lot of big boy hedge funds have been screwed over. They basically bet against the little guy to make money, nice to see them get what they deserve for crushing smaller businesses.
