    I usually use my phones for around 4-6 years and try to fix them myself. I really like this Motorola, and this video is perfect as a guide for the future. The only thing I'm worried about is the screen. Thanks for share this procedure.

    • @PBKreviews

      No problem. Usually they sell the screens with the midframe installed so all you would need to do is move all your parts and motherboard over to the new frame and screen assembly. You can check for parts on mobiledefenders.com

      Why the screen in particular? Seems as hard to reach as almost everything, in this phone.

      same for me, sd870 is quite powerful and 8gb ram should be more than enough for few years of lagless experience.

    Thinking on getting this for my new main since it has the specs I need.
    Nice to have the cables running under the battery so if the battery puffs up it doesn't put strain on the cable connecters. My Redmi Note 9S had them run over the battery and 1 connecter broke so I had to repair it. I didn't do a good job and my mic and mic-in on the 3.5mm jack don't work so I have to go back in to either redo to 40pin connecter or check to see if I disturbed a cap. That or it's a ribbon cable issue. At least I didn't re-glue the rear glass back on.

      Hi, yes you would need to apply new pre cut adhesive for the phone or replace it with a replacement battery door that comes with the adhesive pre installed. There is a listing on ebay for it if you search moto g100 battery door. Also you can watch this video if you want to use your own adhesive: th-cam.com/video/T4iiPUIM7-Y/w-d-xo.html

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once you have access to the screen cable, all that is left is to heat the front of the phone where the screen is, and pry the old screen off from the frame. Then apply new adhesive and re apply the new screen, making sure to put the cable back through the opening in the mid frame and then re assemble the phone.

    This phone is a nightmare to repair, i've repaired a few phones before but the screws are so tight it's impossible to remove them. Tried few different screwdrivers, managed to get a few out, but i've got about 6 left and im trying all the tricks in the book. Used tape, used rubber, instant glueing the screwdriver on it, having a firm grip, still not being able to remove them. >=[ how safe is it to bore in the screw? I'm running out of ideas what to do.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Really? shouldn't be that difficult unless someone glued those screws in lol. Worst case if you strip them, you would have to drill into the heads with a drill bit to break off the heads but then you wouldn't be able to screw a new screw in after when assembling.

      make sure all the cables are properly in place and also the motherboard is seated properly and the plastic cover over the motherboard and speaker assembly are screwed down in place since those have antenna lines drawn on them which need to touch the motherboard to give it signal.

    Hello, thanks to this video, I replaced the screen in my Motorola moto g100 5G, but after assembling and gluing the phone, I noticed that even though the phone reports "Turbo Power device connected", the phone does not charge, what could I have done wrong? or what should I do now to make it charge like before, that in about 20 minutes I had almost 70%
    Please help

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Hmm, just make sure all the cables are connected properly, including the coaxial cables/wire cables. If no luck, might be a defective sub board/charger port board. Also make sure you have the correct model version sub board. For example after the model number there is a -1 or -2 etc. Different region versions have different antenna contacts and different charging chips which may cause you to have issues.

    Hello can make a video about how to install cooling system in your smartphone

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, usually the phones already come with their own designed forms of cooling. You would need to greatly alter or modify the phone hardware to do anything else.

      @rabizack5491 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PBKreviews my phone have aluminum frame .which means I can cool down through the aluminum frame right?
      And my phone back panel is plastic i think cooling plastic back panel is a waste of cooling right? While plastic is not a thermal conductor
      Cooling the back panel OR cooling the aluminum frame which do you think is more effective and faster cooling?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rabizack5491 The aluminum frame would be better, but the phones usually already use the frame for cooling. They have either copper tapes and thermal paste or pads and some have graphite or graphene films which transfer the heat from the components to the frame and the frame exhausts the heat out of the phone.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      You would have to pry the screen off from the frame after disassembling the phone, since the flex cable for it is routed through the midframe and to gain access to removing it after you disconnect it from the main board, you need to remove the screen as well. However this poses a high risk of damaging or breaking the screen.
