Buns with cottage cheese and poppy seeds.
RECIPE Buns with cottage cheese and poppy seeds.
4 g dry yeast.
40 ml yogurt or kefir.
200 ml warm milk.
Mix everything well.
Add 40g sugar.
3g salt.
70 g soft butter.
1 chicken egg.
I used a medium sized grade 1 egg.
Mix everything together.
Sift 400 g flour.
Knead the dough with a spatula.
Lubricate your hands with vegetable oil.
Continue kneading the dough with your hands.
The dough sticks to your hands a little.
Form the dough into a ball.
Cover the dough with cling film.
Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
The dough turned out well.
Sprinkle the table with flour.
Place the dough on the table.
Divide the dough into 2 parts.
Form each piece into a ball.
Cover the dough balls with a kitchen towel.
Leave the dough on the work surface for 10 minutes.
For the filling:
200g ricotta cheese.
You can use cottage cheese.
1 egg white.
20 g poppy seeds.
70g sugar.
Mix everything together.
If the filling is too liquid.
Add 2 teaspoons cornstarch.
Mix everything together.
Roll out the dough ball with a rolling pin.
Dough diameter 30 cm.
Divide the dough into 4 parts.
Make slits in the dough.
Place 1 tablespoon of filling on the dough.
Fold the dough like I did.
Do the same with the remaining dough.
Repeat after me.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Cover the buns with cling film.
Leave the rolls in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Mix 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of water.
Brush the rolls with a mixture of egg yolk and water.
Bake the rolls in an oven preheated to 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
The buns are ready!
