Now that rice is not at West ham this guy will try to talk him down. If you take Rice out of this team the midfield falls apart; England falls apart and have no chance. Saved also tried to say the same in the big 6 and it did not go down well… the others did not agree.

Great that Terry highlighted that Rice is clearly being coached to play a different role to the one he plays at Arsenal which is why he isnt making number 8 runs and progressive passing. The work he does is what allows Mainoo to get forward. The fact the other 2 can't see that shows a great deal about where they lack actual knowledge.

Also he's not been poor, he's been average at times and other times good. You've clearly got an agenda and don't want to acknowledge the facts.
Saka has been the most consistent attacking player, hes laid on a bunch of chances which is his job. Scored a banger and has the vast majority of people praise his tournament.

People just like to talk without thinking. This flawless guy or whatever his name is , saying Isak or Watkins . Arsenal were infact linked with Isak but Newcastle said 150m , similar with Watkins , Villa will ask ridiculous money. And no other striker in market is good enough. What arsenal should do is get a winger who's able to play both wings , then spend big on midfield , get merino (20-25m) , and get another top midfielder a bit expensive, so now you're depth for 6 and Lcm is Rice , Merino , Another signing , Jorginho . Something i agree is arsenal should focus on midfield especially Lcm . Last season their left side was dead , not working . And if you neutralize their right side like Bayern and Villa did , they struggle massively .

I mean Rice and Mainoo are very different players lol Mainoo can't stop transitions as well as Rice, Rice can't play progressive passes as well as mainoo. Rice is the more defensive midfielder and Mainoo is the one to progress the play, they balance each other very nicely. Why is everything about comparisons and making one player sound shit, they're both great players at different things end of.

Spain had 58% against Italy... where is Terry getting his stats from ? Spain faced much stronger opponents and didn't have the majority of possession only against Germany in which they were solely defending in the later stages of the game ....Spain will dominate possession against England that's not necessarily a bad thing for England but it's a very likely outcome

It’s interesting because at the beginning of the window we were talking about Bruno G for 80-100M to Arsenal but I actually think the combo of Eze and Merino for 80M is a better move. Solves your LCM and winger problem and then gives you an 8/6 starter or cover. Not flashy but good business. Those two plus Califiori and finish the window off with another forward/9 and that’s a damn good window

Lawless wouldn't be talking like this about Rice if he still played for West Ham. He's been England's best player, statistically better than Rodri. I think people are still living off the Denmark game where Rice was awful. Yes he made a mistake against Holland but overall was one of the best players on the pitch. Also a reminder that with Mainoo on the pitch England are yet to score an open play goal. Rice is one of the POTT and anyone saying otherwise just don't like Arsenal. It's also a myth about the sideways passing, he completes the most forward passes in the competition I believe. His issue is he can't make line breaking passes. Against Slovenia and Denmark they set up to make it nearly impossible to make a forward pass without going through the lines which meant Rice was ineffective and every time he tried to take a risk forward he lost the ball. I'm not saying Mainoo is bad but if people are saying Rice is holding England back then what about the guy who when on the pitch England haven't scored an open play goal but when off it England have scored 6 goals.
And this Bellingham is over-hyped narrative is insane. His performances that are being criticized are better than Musiala's performances that were praised this tournament, he has 26 G/A in 27 starts in LaLiga, from midfield. He scored an overhead kick to keep England in the Euros and potentially win the competition. He was the 2nd highest G/A provider in the champions league behind Vini. And is the favorite for the ballon dor, all with a dislocated shoulder at 20 YEARS OF AGE!!! We are witnessing greatness but Bellingham does one sloppy thing and he's criticized. In 20 years from now kids will watch clips of Bellingham and be in awe at the sort of things he did, it's just boring for us now because he's too good.
