    You mentioned you’re using the AT2020 mic. Great quality! What additional hardware and/or signal processing are you using?
    -Focusrite Scarlet?
    -Compressor/Limiter?

    Probably good to put out a video showing ScreenCast which I consider to be an amazing DIY LMS.

    Where can I leave a review? I bought brand new software 4 years ago and now you no longer support it? My Camtasia 2019 stopped working!

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that, but we only support the most recent versions, minus two. So we are currently on Camtasia 2023, and we support 2022, & 2021. I'm not sure why 2019 would have stopped working though, we have users on much older versions still. You can always try re-downloading it from our older versions site here to solve it: support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/203732898-Download-a-Previous-Version-of-TechSmith-Software

    I really enjoyed your video! However, I noticed that the camera view screen seemed to be mispositioned throughout the video, making it quite difficult to notice the speaker within the frame. It would be great if you could adjust the screen position for better visibility in future videos. Keep up the great work!

      We're a bit limited with our webinars as they're recorded in Zoom while they're presented live, and we're just sharing them after the fact on TH-cam. But we hear you!

    Hi Jason, I'm thinking of trying and buying Camtasia as a production and edit workflow tool. I noticed, as someone else did during the webinar, the audio was not in cinque with video. I have a question about this because during the answer to the question you said you use a USB microphone, would it be different if the audio and video capture came into Camtasia via HDMI rather than USB. Eg. use a webcam with a microphone (say a Sony camera with mic) as one unit that links to the computer via HDMI.

      Great question, and the answer is yes! If your camera and audio source come in at the same time that will inevitably sync them up better. We can't guarantee this for ALL setups, but in general, if you separate sources like your mic and camera, there's a better chance that they'll fall out of sync faster.
      And for longer recordings, often times even if they're through one source, you may have to make SLIGHT adjustments (but this is with any software). The reason is simply that cameras record in FPS (frames-per-second), whereas mics are recording in kHz, so it's not a 1-to-1 translation.
      Best to bring them in as one source if possible.

    How come you can no longer lock the aspect ratio when recording? This is a deal breaker for me...how / why do you get rid of this simple but important feature the product has had for years?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi,
      When you're selecting a region, you can hold shift to maintain aspect ratio. Hope this helps!

      @@techsmith REGION..does that one of the 4 corners? If so...that doesn't work (windows). But it's working for others?

      @@RealROI If you're not having success with selecting a region and holding with a custom size something may be wrong. This is absolutely something we do, so I'm not sure why you wouldn't be seeing it. If you open a support ticket here, our technical team will help you out: bit.ly/techsmith-help
