  • This tiny Yankee Screwdriver is going to be added to my collection. Such a small piece, and only few parts and yet so handy and useful. I hope this video is helpful for those who wants to see what’s inside these screwdrivers.
    Thanks for watching.

Great video, I just had one question. How were you able to pry off the sleeve part from the screwdriver? I tried bit afraid to break or dent it.

Thank you very much. It’s in the video at 1:18 .
If it’s hard, just apply some WD-40. You should be able to remove it easily after that. It probably has some rust inside, and it is clogged. Try to open the gap between the handle and the sleeve by a thin flat screwdriver.
I hope this was helpful and also I hope you are able to remove it. Just don’t use pliers, and if you do, cover the plier’s teeth with either some cold glue or piece of cloth.
(Also while pushing the sleeve up, push the direction botton (that round shape piece) down. It has to go under the sleeve in order to remove it.

@VintageCraftsmanTools Ah I see, yes I noticed the video just seemed smoother for yours but for sure I'll try the wd40😅 Thank you. Was able to remove the handle just need to clean the inside for smoother action.
      Again thank you!

@@EggyOrphan oh man, sorry to hear that. I hope you can come up with a solution to fix it. Maybe soldering it? These are rare and I truly hope you can fix it. At the end, if you couldn’t fix it, then just keep it as a collection item.
I know how you feel. I have broken some rare tools in the past.
