      skip crossbow, go to scorpion/ballista

    • @stevealford230
      @stevealford230 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Crossbow, of course. If the UK also uses 5160 for automotive suspension universally, then it'll be easy to grab a leaf spring, forge it to shape, and spring temper it for the arms. Or go primitive and use some of that famous Yew. Or go prison style and use newspaper and glue. All could fit your aesthetic. :) Great work as always, bro.

    That's a nifty little bow. Clever idea, making the design a hybrid conventional/slingshot bow. If you were to do it again, do you think that an arrow guide of some sort could be helpful? Or would it just get in the way?
    Also, I enjoyed the narration. It felt a little more instructional. Your humour still came thru, as well! 😆

    • @DiesInEveryFilm

    It also helps to use some kind of cutting fluid when drilling through metal. Makes the bits last longer too. You could just spray or pour it on, by that makes a mess, it's better to use a rag or brush with that, it doesn't take very much.

    DAohhhh... the premise is utter brilliance it's just springy metal feels like it would be a good idea but as you know it doesn't have the spring speed of polycarbonate or wood so if you were to remake this with really strong polycarbonate....OMG, lookout

    • @DiesInEveryFilm
      @DiesInEveryFilm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The spring steel wasn’t in use in used that as it had a good curve to it and would be right under tension to oppose the elastic which is harpoon elastic and was way too stiff for this type of style but it’s an experiment for future ideas
