  • O2 sensor locations explained plus an easy fix for my P0037 and P0420 codes. I go over bank 2 sensor 1, bank 2 sensor 2, and bank 1 sensor 2. These locations should work for Infiniti QX60 and Nissan Pathfinder as well.

    You CAN get to the Bank 1 sensor 2 without going through the wheel well. But it's a tight fit with a rachet and the oxygen sensor attachment -- no room for a breaker bar. You have to reach up over the exhaust pipe toward the wheel, and you can barely fit a rachet in there -- you'll have to get under the vehicle and locate it yourself. I was able to use a pry bar against the engine block, prying the rachet handle away from the engine block, enough to break the bolt loose. Busted my knuckle up when it happened, but at least I got it done! (pre-soaked several times with PB Blaster)

    Can you show how it’s supposed to be after you fixed it with tape and everything? Seem like a common issue for these types of vehicles ours is new and already having O2 sensor problems.

    My god I have a 2005 4runner daily driver and used it for work for 10 years and have never replaced any or this sensors. Heck I’ve replaced the spark plugs because it’s way overdue at 250K miles. Mileage now is 300k and this truck is still running.

    I have a QX56. O2 sensors for bank 1 upstream and downstream are $380. Not to mention nothing is easily accessible unfortunately in the engine bay. Trying to find solutions but think it’s going to come down to a mechanic

      I’m in the same boat. Haven’t got the specifics yet but the dealer told me roughly the same thing… less than 24 hours after purchase. They cleared the code and it stayed off for about 10 miles. I’m guessing that’s what they did after each test drive to avoid fixing it and I’m the sucker stuck with it now.

    You didn't show where your disconnected wire was? With the image zoomed in I can't see if it's under the car, in the wheel well or from under the hood.

    • @tuckersworkshop
      @tuckersworkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I was under the car looking up into the wheel well. If you trace the wire from the O2 sensor it goes up and then towards the wheel angled to the rear of the wheel well. Good luck.

    Quick question Infiniti jx35 p0420 code is upstream o2sensor or downstream o2 sensor problem ?

    • @sugarcreekfarm1
      @sugarcreekfarm1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      P0420 just indicates the catalytic converter which could be related to an O2 sensor. Bank 1 or 2 indicates the side of the engine. Sensor 1 is upstream, sensor 2 is down stream.

    • @tonyblair7226

      @@gibson7654 the issue could be from a bad 02 sensor or potentially the cat itself. Its typical to start at the most economical first (02 sensors)and work your way to the more expensive fix (the CAT).
