Thank you for touching on LEVELING in a build guide.. SO many guides now solely focus on endgame so please continue to add the leveling section to future guides as well
Which seems crazy to me. After finishing the campaign on 3 different builds, I am pretty convinced leveling is the hardest part of the game currently. I'll also add that I'm not sure I like the difficulty curve starting at Souls and ending at basically PoE1 with a gameplay speed comparable to League of Legends. To clarify though, I've played way too much Dark Souls, PoE and to a lesser extent League until Vanguard dropped, my issue stems from having it all of it over the course of a single ARPG characters lifespan with the difficulty curve going from pretty challenging to medium, or even somewhat easy.
Leveling is not hard at all in POE2 now that we have some knowledge about the game especially items, and some exalts in the bank, I would say it's actually easier than POE1(but not as fast, you still have to unlock skills thru levels, and minus quicksilver flask), because of gold respect, there're several routes to power leveling, one popular method is pillar of the caged god (with two sockets put in some flat ele dmg) + jarngreipr glove, passives you just go all strength if possible, then at a certain level where you main build can be done do a respec with gold And even for a fresh start play thru, you just choose a time of need to "re-spawn at check point" farming, that gets you exalts and gold if you spend an hour and do it like 50 times, it's not big profit but definitely enough to buy leveling items and respec. Ieveling is only hard if you play the game that intended way, which you don't have to at all
@@therocklau Yes, leveling items trivialize the campaign, that's nothing new. I however do not think that matters for a large percentage of the playerbase. Many will play 1 build per league, especially with how long the campaign in 2 is. That percentage of the playerbase will only increase compared to PoE1, and it was already sizable. So, even if I'm not one of those players, I will take that into account. Not to mention my own first playthrough per league won't have much in the way of leveling uniques either. On your point of a fresh start and zone reset farming 50 times: Do you think that's good design, or feasable for a more casual player? I for one do not think having the option of a repetitive grind in order to trivialize the game is good design, honestly.
The tree showcasing in the video has 160% increased minion damage from small passive skills and when playing The Titan ascendancy you get 50% increased effect of small passive skills which gives another 80% increased minion damage. So combined he gets around 240% increased minion damage. Thats why The Titan might be the second strongest minion ascendancy or even stronger than infernalist.
Thanks for the build! I really like Summoner-Builds and was struggling pretty hard with my witch. I just tried your build for about an hour and made some changes to the really early game. As you said it was hard till Freythorn. So i decided to take +5 Int at level 3. Then i could instantly use flame wall and one skeleton sniper. I also took a rattling scepter for offhand. With 2 skeleton warriors, one archer, flame wall aoe plus gas cloud explosion and poison dot, i already could forget melee. At level 6 i swapped sniper for arsonists. So far its pretty fun and easy. You still can slap people in the face with mace strike or boneshatter if needed.
I can confirm this. Lightning arrow and Lightning rod only thing you need. Total breeze until you kill the king in the mist. Respec once you get your spirit gem. So much faster and enjoyabe on both my monk and warrior.
Been playing the Infernalist version and I really enjoy it. I have to say though, watching this video with the Snipers clearing, it doesn't look half bad. If anything I think it might be better. Between the Firewall and 8 Arsonists throwing bombs, it isn't exactly easy to see what's going on at times. Way better visual clarity with the Snipers and they have better range and are better at getting their damage in fast. Might try swapping to the Snipers tomorrow just to see what it's like.
I am a hardcore player so haven't reached endgame. But I can tell you that act 3 and before without a doubt snipers do more damage than arsonists if using active ability. Something I've been recently trying is a mix of snipers and arsonists it's working well.
Ghazzy, you don't have to play melee to level up. The secret is Flame Wall. Take your first uncut gem and immediately go into Flame Wall. If you were lucky to pick up a crossbow, use that, or buy one. Just fire the crossbow into the Flame Wall. If you get luckier with a second uncut gem, get Spark. Spark into Flame Wall will be your map clear. And by the time you get to Freythorn, you will already have Flame Wall ready for SRS. The secret is: everyone plays as a Caster.
Going through the acts as melee is easier than with witch just telling you. I never ever had any problems wiht any bosses through the 6 acts as a warrior/titan and after u get sunder and seismic cry you basicly 1shot all bosses including act bosses.

Reaver and Brute are good, goddamn they are so stupid and clunky. I have 5 brutes, 2 reavers but only 2 -3 of them are dealing dmg, the rest blocks each other.
Just a small suggestion for anyone doing this in the future. You don't have to level with Maces. You can use pretty much anything if you path through the attributes right away (bow might be the best choice in that case, simply cause of range). There are also lvl 6 unique glove that let's you use strength to fulfill requirements for melee skills and weapons in which case you can level with quarterstaves and path through the melee damage nodes. Should make it way smoother/more comfortable until you get to SRS.
For those who want to play this but don't want to have the awfull time Ghazzy had leveling untill feythorn, use shockwawe totem splinter support and high speed round.

i personally thing skelly archers are going to become much much more common after the update. Skelly archers with their command skill were already very close to arsonists for dps for bossing but their consistent damage was way lower. However with the nerf to arsonists and skelly archers actually having a pretty good Quality boost (10% reservation cost reduction at 20%) i think they will over take arsonists. What i want to see is a build actually utilizing 2 different minions, like skelly archers AND reavers but i dont think this change will happen yet.
I still don't get why do this? Other than for the meme? This ascendency gives you, what, 50% small node boost, 20 inventory slots, and 15% more life? Ghazzy sitting at 3185 life, which isn't terrible but isn't great. I would expect FAR MORE life if you were going to give up everything you gain from Infernalist.... Which gives you way more spirit (give up 25% life), gives you a free minion that actually does pretty decent damage and is tanky. AND, since you go either ES or Mind over Matter, you gain even more ES or Mana traded for some of your life. Just seems like this option is "just because" vs actually a potentially better choice?

I see so many classes using the same skills like minions, anything lightning and lighting fart clouds on fire. Everything else feels so weak and not balanced. I cry knowing there is no way cyclone will work in this game.
Default attack, even in his example, is shit. I think people look at the DPS stats on the skills without realizing that it only count the first hit/without additional effects. Use the tools handed to you, read up on what they do, get gear in the shop and act 1 is easy cruising
I tried it, but it takes 34 points until you start getting into minion nodes if you go directly there using travel nodes as much as possible. That makes this an even rougher start through act 1-3
it's not. the +1 is worthless, quality even worst on minion. 30% manacost is useless for minion build. even the double support gem is worthless since we have no spectre atm. and also the skill tree is far.

In trials too? Lol. That honour is going down to zero real fast. The sanctum alone is designed to avoid damage and getting hit at all costs, and you can't do that as melee.
Oh yes, we Warriors know how bad melee is XD I have given feedback on how bad it is. It doesn't really get better for the Warrior for the most part. Your list of actual viable skills is very low, and neutral game is very slow. Default Attack is something you are going to be using a lot , especially if you build defensive first.
Melee is an absolute pain in the a**. There are melee classes that clear faster like monk but Good Lord, the warrior leveling with pure melee experience makes you want to unalive. SRS Witch burns through everything while still requiring dodge and attention. Melee warrior makes you feel like a random watered down blue mob struggling in every minor combat. Melee is painfully sluggish might actually save gold and re spec my lvl 87 hammer of the god bleed build into minions
Where do we put the pastebin?
Isn't that how it is done in diablo 2?
You basic attack more than using skill due to potions
Just an fyi - level with bow until level 10. Super easy and fast.
I didnt know infernal hounds provided a free fire exposure, time to remove that support gem.
I will never understand why people pay money for mtx to have more visual clutter on the screen
Im really starting to think GGG had really only tuned a handful of skills and the rest are untouched. I see so many classes using the same skills like minions, anything lightning and lighting fart clouds on fire. Everything else feels so weak and not balanced. I cry knowing there is no way cyclone will work in this game.
you look like robert barone from everybody loves raymond
Can you use a bow to level?
Of course!
Honestly with mace strike + boneshatter melee is tolerable in act 1. Trying it in act 2 onwards though? Heck no.
it's amazing to me the melee is in this state, well maybe not amazing but default attack for the whole levelling experience?? wtf
Default attack, even in his example, is shit. I think people look at the DPS stats on the skills without realizing that it only count the first hit/without additional effects. Use the tools handed to you, read up on what they do, get gear in the shop and act 1 is easy cruising
Gemling Legionnaire is OP as summoner. The ascendancy skills are too good and can be used in any build
how does it work? any guide?
I tried it, but it takes 34 points until you start getting into minion nodes if you go directly there using travel nodes as much as possible. That makes this an even rougher start through act 1-3
Gemling lives in the antipodes of minion nodes.
Don't you have to wait a lot to reach the minion nodes? It feels kinda bad at the beggining, do you have any builds?
it's not. the +1 is worthless, quality even worst on minion. 30% manacost is useless for minion build.
even the double support gem is worthless since we have no spectre atm.
and also the skill tree is far.
main question: WHY warrior?
Make a minion build without srs challenge: impossible.
After the Armour Explosion nerf I'm considering this. It's a full reroll but I'm sick of how painful melee is right now and I do not want to reroll and do campaign again now that I just arrived to maps. Anybody on the same boat?
I did it just to realise that this build was nerfed too
@@davidgagnon2924 Damn, how was it nerfed? Can you please elaborate?
@@gublin21 they increased the spirit cost of skeletal arsonists meaning that you have fewer minions now
@@davidgagnon2924that bricks the build or makes it less "optimal"? I believe ghazzy was tweaking the infernalist build with more snippers
@@gublin21 yeah, idk how but I totally skipped the part where he speaks about the incoming nerf, I went straight to the build itself... it looks fine, the nerf isnt to be bad
"draught" is pronounced the same as "draft"
Ty!
Nifty, so did I read chayula monk right, ... and they pote tally get some crazy 400 extra spirit by level 100 on top of any fromngear or quests?
now it goes away if they take dmg or something, but still seems like a fun abuse case if its true.
Same build different class; alright bud xd
Imy trying to make gemling melee minions work :D
So we are buying a unique to level lol that's true experience
Where is the moboanalytics version that word sanskrit poe db is trash. LOL I will just follow the video guide lol
This is POE 1 all over again ..whenever there is a build that is good for minions they nerf the s***t out of it ... Thx GGG, why dont you just remove minions from game, it will save you the time to nerf every single minion build until no one will play them
wtf, I just switched from stampede to this to now realize that this one got nerf too.... fck me
Melee is too ez to play for me
In trials too? Lol. That honour is going down to zero real fast. The sanctum alone is designed to avoid damage and getting hit at all costs, and you can't do that as melee.
It still feels bad even if it is easy.
melee to 90 xD
isnt this kripps infernalist build?
Oh yes, we Warriors know how bad melee is XD I have given feedback on how bad it is. It doesn't really get better for the Warrior for the most part. Your list of actual viable skills is very low, and neutral game is very slow. Default Attack is something you are going to be using a lot , especially if you build defensive first.
can't wait to no life get this build up and running to have it nerf 2 days later like the last 3 characters I leveled
imagine saying melee is boring, but walking simulator minion build isnt
Melee is an absolute pain in the a**. There are melee classes that clear faster like monk but Good Lord, the warrior leveling with pure melee experience makes you want to unalive. SRS Witch burns through everything while still requiring dodge and attention. Melee warrior makes you feel like a random watered down blue mob struggling in every minor combat. You are supposed to be the MC not a suffering NPC.
I entered your multi dollar giveaways and i did not win and i don't like it! Its shit!
but infernalis give doggo 🥹
Booooreeeeiiing, another SRS+Skeletal Arsonist build! 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱 Can't you guys come up with something else? Well it's probably more of a problem of these 2 skills outpreform any other minion setup by miles.
