    Dave, you are very brave! May the Lord continue to preserve and secure you. When I was a medical student at UNIPORT in the early 1990s, one of my classmates had her wedding in Bonny, and although we were very close, I refused to attend, out of fear of the ocean! She was kind and understanding enough to forgive me! It seems I heard kabashing; you did well. He is always at hand to hear and deliver us when we call upon Him!!

    Talking about Bonny Island, you can also access Bonny by air as there is a fully equipped and functional air port that can allow medium size air planes with up to hundred passengers to land.

    Good memories, I was frequent to Bonny via this means .Until one gets to the end of the journey , heart will be on your sleeves ,steady kabashing especially when big ships are passing with multiple waves ,fear of the unknown especially travelling early evenings .,the waves , abrupt stoppage of engine , transfering from one boat to another in the middle of the ocean , or is it getting wet in the rain or if you are lucky everyone is covered up under a big plastic bag/ canopy , boat capsizing, sea pirates ...etc .. God is indeed a protector ..However The journey is always enjoyable but morale needs to be high to embark on it . Lolxxx

    You really try. You just visited my town. For a non-native, travelling to Bonny Island is not a walk in the park... Years ago, the girl I wanted to marry thought Bonny was an enchanted island and eager to go with me to see my family. But when she got to Nembe Jetty and saw a glimpse of the water, it erased every doubt and ideas she had about her dreamed paradise! The rest, as they say, is history. For a first timer, I cut hand for you.

      @@DavidNkwa l have seen bonny lsland on some other channels, it's awful to say the least.I was just thinking,many of us left home not necessarily because of unemployment, some of us had a job when we were home,but the lack of urban renewal,development, infrastructure, which is the primary responsibility of government is the reason nigerians are leaving home...lf our cities was as developed as that bonny LNGN town many nigerians would have stayed...

    I heard you say Bonny has no airport. Bonny actually has an airport. In fact, the passenger traffic of the Bonny airport is more than that of some state airports in Nigeria. But you need to book like 2 weeks ahead for a flight. There are direct flights from Abuja, Lagos & PH to Bonny. None of the major commercial airlines ply that route. However, you can book on any of the planes of the companies at a subsidised rate.

      @@DavidNkwa I've visited Bonny Island several times bro. There is an airport along the road between the RA & the plant. It is called Finima Airport. & if TH-cam had the capacity, I'll upload a Pass sample. Calm down and do a bit more research. I'm not discrediting your work. Plus one of our subsidiaries is in the aviation industry & I've seen the passenger traffic statistics of the Finima Airport. Its more than some state government airports.

    • @DavidNkwa
      @DavidNkwa  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Gold. The Airport you are referring to is more of an airstrip and it's only open to NLNG workers and not the general public. also, there is an NLNG boat that can take you to Bonny Island, but also only available to the workers. The only way you can use the boat or plane is if someone who works there books on your behalf. A service that is not open to the public how can that be an airport? Please point me to the website where ordinary people can book and I will gladly do and appreciate you for it. thank you

    • @Gold-lv5ih
      @Gold-lv5ih 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DavidNkwa Finima Airport used to be an Airstrip. It is a functional airport now. It has all the equipment needed & government agencies representatives as well. Like I said in my first comment, none of the major commercial airlines ply that route (or use the airport). While you can book the NLNG boat in a matter of days or hours through a staff member, you need about 2 weeks to book a flight to the airport. The airport services more planes than that of NLNG. Most are strictly private but some offer a quasi-commercial flight. Unlike the NLNG boat which is free, you need to make payment for the flight. However, the cost has been subsidised.

The wave are caused by others that have use same route. We were 5 jet ski in number that day and our instructor was far in front who was creating the wave. I had to leave his track completely to enjoy the ride.
