I love Samantha Morton! I loved her ever since she played Mary Queen of Scots! Minnie, of course, is legendary. I’ve enjoyed watching the show especially when the two powerful women meet! Love The Serpent Queen! And, Samantha is really carrying the show! Brava!
I adore both these actors. SM is so good in period dramas. She was so brash in Harlots. She’s an amazing actor. But seeing MD’s performance as QEI was an unexpected delight. She plays the queen beautifully. Since she’s generally in modern productions., I was impressed with her regal performance. Plus I love her accent. I could listen to her read the phone book.
Mini has probably gotten "refreshed" I don't see samantha doing that with her personality 😐 as much as we can see in her personality 😂❤ but I think mini has been refreshed 😊
I am ONLY watching Serpent Queen for Ms. Morton. No offense to Ms. Driver or the entire cast of Bridgerton or the entire cast of Queen Charlotte or the entire cast of The Decameron....but all of them are just play-acting. Ms. Morton is not. Ms. Morton IS Catherine de Medici just as she was Jane Eyre...just as she was Morvern Callar...just as she was Sarah Sullivan (In America)...just as she was Marilyn Monroe (Mister Lonely). If you have not seen Ms. Morton's directorial debut of The Unloved....you must. It is devastating, true, and magnificent. Ms. Driver is sitting next to a an actual goddess in the flesh, yet does not seem to realize it in this interview.
AGAIN whining about ''women oppression'' ( I bet they don't really care about REAL oppression many women face in certain countries). Also, strong powerful people don't go around calling themselves such. That was a cringe bit, with all respect to them as brilliant actresses. Also, now there are in fact MANY complex female characters both in film and on TV, so again, they should stop complaining. Women in film and TV are now so much more than ''just'' girlfrieds/wives/mothers.
he most WOKE garbage on tv , east indians and blacks as members of the royal families , the constant swearing , it just seems so over produced and unrealistic in every sense of the word , really bad tv.
This show is so good! Everyone should watch it.
I absolutely love these two and I absolutely love The Serpent Queen.

If only they complained less.
So right!!
Some people wouldn’t know good tv if it landed in their heads. Such an amazing onscreen duo.
Agree! Blown away by Samantha! Everything she does! Her slow blink in so many scenes.....my son and I are in awe😂
I love Sam from Twd but she’s incredible in this
I would love to share my ideas with these ladies in terms of story lines and characters.
Crazy to think Samatha Morton is 7 years younger than Minnie Driver! Wow.
Crazy to think you still don't know that it's rude to say stuff like that.

It's not supposed to be historically accurate. It's entertainment and never takes itself that serious historically.
