    That weathering powder takes the walls straight from "model" to "real slate" - it's amazing to see the transformation! :D

      How satisfying is it to watch as-well! Gets me every time 😅

    Not expecting to hear a fallout 4 song on a modeling video. Good video 👍

      Thanks mate, it’s like magic powder when it’s going on, so happy I worked that out 😅

    Must get some of that weathering powder. Lovely texture.

      I’m slowly going over to AMMO for all powders/slimes etc, they really have a skill for it. Lucky enough that my local model shop (I say local, it’s Chester, still 30 miles or so) stocks their range

    Nice work on the station building. I've been looking for some inspiration for this and you've helped me :)

      That’s the best thing to hear, if I’ve inspired or motivated someone to do some modelling - job done!

      Honestly I feel exactly the same when I’m looking at other peoples modelling, I’m sure you’re a great modeller, just don’t see it

    Very good. There must be an easy way to get an accurate 45 degree angle on the plastic, just wish I new it. That weathering powder really did a magic trick.

      There probably is a tool for that, but it’s not in my arsenal so it’s a bodge job for me 😂

      Yeah, I get mixed opinions on the music, I keep it on as I prefer to watch videos with music instead of dead noise

    Been following these videos since you started; what a fantastic job! This one in particular is really inspiring me to just get some materials together and have a go at modelling structures myself. Do you know who makes that small half-round plastic tubing you used for the gutter? I'm over in the US, and the two biggest manufacturers here (Evergreen and Plastruct) don't seem to make anything of that profile in a size small enough for 4mm scale... unless I'm mistaken.
    Keep up the great work!

    • @GWilliamsonModels
      @GWilliamsonModels  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s really nice to hear, thanks you for watching!
      Yes most of my strut and rod is Evergreen, which as you say, is a US company. But I didn’t actually use half round , as you’ve found, you can’t get it so small. This is actually ‘U’ shaped, but it’s so small you can’t really notice!

    • @redtrain9419
      @redtrain9419 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GWilliamsonModels You're right, it's so small you don't notice - I certainly didn't on first watch! I suppose what threw me off is that Evergreen refers to it as "channel" on their website, as opposed to U-shaped. Funny considering they denote other shapes with letters...!
      Thanks for your help!

    • @GWilliamsonModels
      @GWilliamsonModels  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@redtrain9419 ah yes channel, that’s the one! I just though that it would look more convincing than solid half rod, seeing as it have the hollow inside

    Do you seal the weathering powder, or leave as is George?

    • @GWilliamsonModels
      @GWilliamsonModels  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I usually leave powders as they are if it’s on scenery, and seal them on rolling stock. You could seal them in, but they don’t tend to get disturbed on the layout like on a model
