SG-1 is totally worth checking out. It is an amazing series with awesome characters, great actors, and awesome stories in them. Plus, it is nice to have some Sci-Fi that shows that yeah, humans can be dicks but we can also be heroes if we put our backs into it and that's what StarGate shows. A humanity that despite the efforts of awful people, strikes out into the Galaxy and becomes a force for change for the better. Also to answer your question, I don't believe any of the movie cast returned for the show. But honestly, the characters in the show are a lot more fleshed out and feel a lot better with the show actors. Like, I adore Kurt Russel but Richard Dean Anderson is Jack O'Neil, the character is just so much better with him.
Agreed. SG-1 is a great show, I saw the movie when it was out in the theaters and enjoyed it, and true the tv show took things in a different direction, but the changes were great and well done. And no, Daniel Jackson was played by James Spader in the movie, but by Michael Shanks in the show.
Skaara was played by the same guy in the movie and the series. Another great thing about the series is General Hammond. How often do we get someone in his position who *isn't* an obstructive bureaucrat?
Stargate is one of my favorite sci fi universes. The show got help from real scientists and the US Air Force on many of its episode, even the real Chief of Staff of the USAF appeared in one episode. It told a grounded sci fi show that took place in the modern day. Something that I loved they did was that, if a people, technology or material was mentioned/shown in one episode, there would be a good chance that it would appear again later in the season or the next. Everyone should at least give it a shot
The really cool thing about SG1 is they go from the starting point of where the movie left off when it is basically just what you thought it was a few special forces teams operating through the gate to explore and scout the galaxy, through development of earth based and alien hybrid technologies both reverse engineered and in rare cases gifted to the SGC to the point that in later seasons earth is operating it's own space fleet. The really great part is that they do this over multiple seasons that took years and years IRL, so while maybe not strictly realistic it's very believable, in that they actually take all the steps. You see early off-world bases in early seasons and then more developed ones later, you see prototype starships and space fighters and their problems and then later you see the production models, you see where they got the technologies, which aliens or advanced human cultures they encounter that provide them. If you never got into SG1 take the time, it is for my money one of the best sci fi series ever made and it's got like 10 seasons plus a couple of movies, I can't say the last couple of seasons were the peak honestly but they were still head and shoulders above most other shows on TV sci fi or otherwise.
10 years, 10 seasons, 200+ episodes with 2 spinoffs and 2 DVD movies. There is a lot of lore in this from that time. Its just a fun TV show and one of my favorites. In terms of the actors, very few actually transferred over from the movie. Kurt Russell as Jack O'Neill was replaced by Richard Dean Anderson (McGyver) and James Spader as Daniel Jackson replaced by Michael Shanks.
It was an exploration show but I think after the third or fourth season it started getting crazy. By season 10, Earth was basically an interstellar power with most of the population being unaware of it. It's a good watch, if you liked the movie.
P90 for everyone! Edit: If it's any consolation, shows like Babylon 5 and the early 2000's BSG seem to be getting renewed interest on reaction channels. So while their recognition may have been lacking before, like impressionist art, they have earned followings with people who came later.
I think you mean Kurt Russell. And the film was just Soldier. An underrated film in my opinion. Robert Picardo was so much fun as Voyager's Doctor. Stuff like the battle cruiser came after a few seasons. Early on, when asked if they have any ships to fight off an impending attack from space. Col. O'Neill responded with, "We have some shuttles." 😂 The development builds over time. So the SGC really earns a lot of what they have in one way or another. They brought on Michael Shanks to play Dr. Jackson in the series. Fun story, Kurt Russell visited the set one day. He asked to see who was playing James Spader's character. He thought they did well picking Shanks. It's is an exploration show. But it adds a lot more along the way. Love this show.
If you want to hear a really good analysis of the Goa'uld's strategy of intimidation, I would suggest Spacedock's "How to Rule the Galaxy Through Fear"
One thing the others haven't said much is that with Goauld, they took a good number of gods from several mythologies and religions, not just Egypt. The one exception is the Norse gods which were exclusively used for the Asgard race, obviously. It a wonderful series that I would recommend you watch when you have the time.
13:35 I would say it might have a bit of a slow in the beginning. Most of the early battles would be commando to platoon size. They don't get their first space ship till the 6th season in the mains show (SG-1) and most of the really advance snap battle stuff would be found in (SGA) after season one. I would say if you like ST Voyager (SGU) the similar concept.
13:38 Yes mate your missing out it's hard to discribe how it feels to watch the people of this fictional universe progresss overtime to learn adapt and over come great many things... like my favorite moments in SG-1 and Atlantis are the first times we see X(BC)-303 and BC-304 you can feel sort of pride for them in that moment everything they did wasn't in vain and the leap from 303 to 304 feels like a natural progression of engineering... Yes your missing out and if you have the time go watch it you won't regret it.
Robert Picardo's character in SG-1 appears to be a typical "bureaucratic 'villain' " when he first shows up. When I was watching SG-1 with my son I told him "Watch Woolsey carefully. He's probably the character with the most moral integrity in the entire series." The F-302 (the space fighter that the SGC develops) is my favorite sci-fi spacecraft, period. It looks exactly like how I would picture a US Air Force fighter derived from a specific alien reference point (the Goa'uld Death Gliders) to be. It has obvious F-117 influences all over the place.
What I like about stargate is that while some humans are portrayed as greedy and only out for their own interests. I can't say Sg-1 is a masterpiece, but starting from season 1 and watching the show evolve over 10 seasons plus 7 spin off seasons, is like watching a child grow into an adult. It's a feeling I have rarely felt watching a tv show.
Sg-1 was a great show and spawned two spin-offs and two direct to dvd movies that wrapped up the original series. Watch the show all the way to the 7th season, then start watching the Atlantis spinoff alongside it.
Can someone please explain to me why in the show start gate the United States air force has space ships and the united states navy doesn't have any space ships?
Yes, you definitely would enjoy it. Their mandate to acquire alien technology is slow going at first, but watching them gain momentum and put every piece of tech to work feels like hitting that sweet, sweet pay dirt.
SG-1 is my favorite Sci-Fi, and I LOVE Star Wars and Trek. It struck the sweet spot for me between cheese and more serious storylines, it's like mixing STTOS and DS9. The chemistry between Charter, Jackson, Teal'c, and Oneill was the best I've seen on TV. Quite a bit of Star Trek actors guest star and Woosley (The Doctor) is one of the best reoccurring. It starts off as exploration with just current Earth tech, what I loved is how Earth was towards the bottom half of the tech tree and we get to see them evolve as more advance tech is acquired. "That actually makes sense." YES! So much of the world just makes sense in that way. The Replicators are just below the Borg in my book. The universe is so rich, the books are pretty good too, just wish they were on the level of Star Wars Legends.
It is a fantastic show. You should absolutely watch it. No, the actors are not the same drom the movie, but they did excellent. Also the actor who played MacGyver played Colonel O'Neil. Movie night would be fantastic.
SG1 does bring back a lot of actors from the Original film... just not the two leads. So if you watch it, you will get meet a lot of those from Abydos again. The pilot ep had nudity due to Showtime demanding it, but it was terribly received in test audiences. Season 1 you'll see a bit too much Star Trek morality episode stuff (new planet with new moral dilemma) but as the show progressed it really develops the characters well and started shifting back to Ra's race being the big overarching enemies but who were killing each other even more than Earth. So SG1 took advantage of that and stole a bunch of alien tech from bad aliens and tried to make alliances with good aliens. There was a few minor retcons, besides the recasting, the big one being the planet in the movie was in our galaxy, not the other side of the known universe. And actually fairly close to Earth. The across the known universe plotline will come back in the spinoff Stargate Universe. SG1 will add in two new protagonists besides Jack and Daniel. Teal'c is the former soldier of the aliens that saves Jack because he knows the enemy isn't gods like they claim and hopes Earth can one day free the galaxy. The other is Samantha, aka Sam, she's the airforce astrophysicist (and my god did that actress fight to make the show as scientifically accurate as they could, she got tge writers to hire real scientists to help) Seasons 4 onward the show really starts hitting its peak and the amount of filler episodes dropped off. Heck, there's even "clip episodes" (lots of flash backs) to save on the shows budget, where the cast is actually is just asking congress for more budget, so just a new few scenes and flashbacks like theyre explaining stuff to congress. However, the goal of SG1 is typically getting technology to develop Starships for Earth... and it took many seasons and failed attempts to get them. So as an example, they got the starfighter first but no energy weapins for it, it still used missiles and bombs. The capital ships early on just had railguns and nuclear missiles, again, no energy weapons. There's scenes (in Atlantis) where Earth had to fire 100 nukes at an enemy ship just for 1 to get past it's defenses because their little railguns weren't doing enough. Earth also has a hell of a time developing other things like hyperdrive and shields. Overall it's a great show, and there is some sexual tension between some characters. The pilot has Daniel Jacksons wife getting taken, so he's on a rescue mission. Jack and Sam will definitely deal with nearly 10 seasons of sexual tension, even meeting alternate reality versions of themselves who are married. Furthermore Jack is really funny unlike Jack Oneil in the film. So there's plenty for the wife... just probably look at a list of the essential early episodes if you want to watch with her and skip the early filler. But yeah, Stargate has a big female fanbase, though it's subjective to individuals if they'd get bored in the early filler episodes. Maybe watch the early episodes yourself and make notes of what you think shed enjoy in and rewatch thise with her. Eventually it will be good enough she'll watch it all. Season 8 they launched their first spinoff, Stargate Atlantis which was a more international show than just the US Air Force of SG1. This ran 5 seasons. It was arguably the highest rated of the series, but i highly recommend you watch SG1 first as there's a lot of crossover. Jason Momoa became a main cast member in season 2 on (ran 5 seasons). Atlantis is that Atlantis, but was a spaceship city, now just rediscovered... so Earth has gone their to get technology to get a leg up on developing Earths. While having to defend it from hostile Aliens who want it too. Then there was Stargate Universe, which was a very different show compared to the rest. Basically a much more depressing version of Star Trek Voyager, with the gating onto a ship literally billions of light-years away and not enough power on the tens of millions of year old ship to dial back to Earth. This show only ran 2 seasons and was canceled, because the new Scifi channel president wanted cheaper shows and WWE (not joking). The show was starting to bevome incredible too, but season 1 definitely turned off some fans with how much darker it was.
season 1 was Exploration, everything after that was galactic war until it got canceled. the one focusing on the ancient alien ship was exploration mixed with combat but I can't remember anything big happening before it got axed.
Sg1 is an exploration show. But they use what they find and the SGC's capabilities steadily expand until they are casually making intergalactic journeys. It's one of my favorite sci-fi shows and settings
I recommend you watch the sg1 series it’s very good in my opinion, the ori arc may be late in the franchise but it’s very good. I still watch it all to this day and will keep rewatching it till I die lol
yes it is worth a watch there is 3 shows Stargate SG1 with 10 seasons part way through SG1, Stargate Atlantis starts and goes for 5 seasons and part way through Atlantis, Stargate Universe stars with 2 seasons and there all connected. Witch is how humans have gotten so powerful, you get to see the whole journey.
Youre somewhere close to my age old man. You should definitely watch this show. Make it a reaction series, there arent many SG reactors and I think you'll enjoy it like so many fans do!
If you're a fan of the original movie, then you'll likely enjoy Stargate SG1/Atlantis/Universe. One thing that they did right that massively helped the show, is that they kept Earth as the believable underdogs - even when they get some fancy toys to play with, they are still playing catch-up; either in knowledge, technology, or numbers. You can actually literally see the gradual build-up of capability over the seasons happening in a way that makes sense, along with believable reactions from the military and political personal. All this, and they still mostly kept true to traditional science fiction, in that it was able to portray and narratively debate and disassemble various heavy topics - slavery, sexism, warmongering, loss, terrorism, freedom of information, religious zealotry, expansionism... the list goes on.
10 seasons worth of great content plus the two spin off shows. It absolutely is worth a watch, it is a bit slow at times but for how long it went on for it is a well worth watch.
Great Thing about Stargate: you start in the 90's with Just human Tech, then steal some stuff from the Aliens, then make Friends and slowly earn more and more technology. Earth is the Underdog, only one Planet with almost no real Firepower, no shields and no FTL. So when they finally get their First real ships, it feels Like both they and you have earned that. Jaffa Kree!
Personally, I think the spinoff Stargate Atlantis was better in terms of story, but both it and SG-1 are good, and they are better than a lot of TV shows now. Some episodes are skippable and/or forgettable, but they are all entertaining in some way, and I never watched an episode that felt like a bad episode. Honestly, looking for a good sci-fi show that is a perfect example of the golden age of television before it got dark and later terrible, you could not find a better show.
Stargate is one of those shows that is more grounded but still enjoyable to watch with all that was made for it. I wonder how Stargate would fair in 40k or something
SG1 was definitelly a great show, that spawned other tv shows and was on its' way to becoming even more popular (which didn't happen since MGM didn't have money). It has good story progression, interesting concepts and episodes, some very long story arcs (which I feel are not present in modern media anymore), etc. It was just great, and I would definitelly recommend watching it (and after that, the other movies and tv shows of course, with only exception being possibly SGU, and definitelly Origins). While the first season or two of SG1 had some weaker episodes, it was still good, and it only got better later on.
During the entire runntime of the series the 304's never reached doubble digits. They highlighted the doctrin of the Goauld in a episode inwich SG1 presented the P90 to the rebelling Jaffa. The line "This (points at jaffa staff) is a weapon of terror, and this (presents P90) is a weapon of war. may not be word for word, but the meaning behind it stuck with me. I very much enjoyed the SG1 and SG Atlanthis series, but dropped SG Universe much lather than I should had. Also, the Doctor will alwhays be the Doctor and I love him for that.
Farscape, Babyon 5, and BSG are the ones I'm familiar with here. And I had great love for all of them.... up until BSG made me have some really conflicted feelings and outright rage at the finale.
I rewatched the first couple of seasons with my father of sg1. The first couple of seasons... We're definitely early 2001 episodes. With a fair bit of nonsense in it. It's not bad, it's still fun. Just.... not how normal humans, especially military trained humans would ever act. Even considering its a sci-fi TV show. After season 3 however it gets really really good. And it's got like 10 seasons so there is a lot of quality stuff there. Also, you don't have to watch every episode because it is an episodic show. A lot of it can be skipped and it not really detract very much from the rest of the show. There are certain exceptions about important factions but typically those episodes will be in parts easily and recognizable.
I love the show so much. I bought all the movies plus all sg1 seasons. Plus every season of Stargate Atlantis. As well as Stargate universe. With the videos I have watched of u reacting to. For the most part ur reactions are on par with mine so I think u would throughly like the series as well. Imo the show is better than the original movie.
Watch SG-1. Just do it! You'll thank us! As for the size and scope of the SGC, remember that SG-1 ran 10 seasons, Stargate Atlantis ran for 5, and Universe ran for 1-2. Things built up over time.
I am real and they did look good, they knew the limits of their tech and made it work rather than try too hard. The story writing for Bab5 was also phenomenal .
short: you going to love it in long: it have so many things in it, good humor, lots of diferent views and angels, ONeal play in old McGayver like McGayver, Daniel dies a lot :) Tielc is new Kretos from new God of War
You should check it out, it's a great show. The first season is not the best, but it gets much better. The problem is that it was on Scifi. It is a continuation of the movie or maybe , a continuation in an alternate universe. RDA is fantastic as O'Neill. You get a much more expanding view of the chaos the death if Ra had on the Galaxy.
The Stargate original series (SG-1) and 1st spin off Stargate: Atlantis (SGA) were absolutely AMAZING pieces of Sci-Fi. Sadly, after SGA .... the direction the producers wanted to go, the writing AND characters kind of went down hill. Not just with Universe (SG:U) which has its supporters... but the other content that just never really felt like anyone was putting real effort into it. Which is why a "reboot" of SG-1 COULD work very well if it directly addressed the time gap between a re-boot and the original series. Asking questions of what the "known factions" at the time SG-1 ended have adapted/shifted/changed-structurally without the interaction of the SGC (Earth) due to change in political administration. Basically with a government doing a budget cut and shutting the program down for a few years, leaving a new power vacuum that the "new program" has to figure out how things changed AND directly address problems from that power vacuum and the people who filled it
in my humble opinion watching the slow rise of the sgc from sending small fire teams against the near insurmountable might of galatic empires to being able to field whole fleets and hold its own against the worst this and several other galaxy's have to offer. and shoving humanitys fist down the thoats of countless false gods. is one of the greatest experiencers one can be subject to. all the pitty that the francine is all but dead. and all star gate fans hold these truth's to their heart Sg1 season one is a bit rough and we skip the episode emancipation we all kind of got tired of the will they wont they of carter and orneil the ground hog day episode with have you in tears, in both ways the replicators should have stayed as bugs (at least in sg1) atlanise is a diffrent kettle of fish. and the bug ones would wipe the floor with the borg the ori are one of the greatest villan races ever we stand rodny mecay, but he deserves every bad thing that happens to him. hes like magus in that way commander Shepard and todd mutual frienemey status is deeply entertaining the teal'c vs rohonen fight is peek and dont lie we'd all be their betting on them to you will conflicted feelings about the system lord Yu, and though short lived, star gate univese is the voyager we should have gotten. though it gets really weird at points
Watch SG-1!!! It has filler, sure, but it is so much better than the movie! It has soul and great characters! The cast is top-tier too! When it gets to the larger conflicts, it'll be really good! I know you don't have much free time but trust me, it'll be worthwhile! One of the best TV series ever!
No not the same actor. Michel Shanks ws picked because he looked like James Spader (even more so with the right hair style and glasses) In later seasons he was allowed to make the role his own as the story progressed (character development). The only guys from the movie that show up in the series as recurring characters are Skarra and Kasuf (Sha Re's brother and father since even the actress that plays her in the series tried to get the movie role but wasn't chosen. She got the role in the series and had more screen time than the movie one)
You didn't watch Stargate SG1? You have missed out on soooo much. The TV show ran for 10 seasons, 2 spin offs, and 3 movies. Now I'm curious what else you missed out on. Did you see Farscape? 4 seasons of mind bending sci fi with a 2 part movie showcasing the creative works of Jim Henson. Firefly/Serenity? i.e. Joss Whedon's Cowboys in space. The Battletech cartoon series? (yeah I suggested you react to this in the comments of your last BT react video) Blake's 7? Space 1999 (most plausible space craft in sci-fi) Red Dwarf?
Out of 10 seasons worth of TV, I can only think of maybe a dozen truly BAD episodes of Stargate SG-1. And a lot of those are in season 1 or 2 where they were still finding their footing. Sure there are some filler episodes, but the mythology slowly builds over the course of the series, with the characters’ actions affecting the wider galaxy and later events.
Do watch sg1, it's 90s sci-fi that ran to the late noughties, but be warned I felt like sgu was stargate saying we can bsg too guys, also even if you watched the GTU stuff from stellar is you gotta admit road to war slaps, th-cam.com/video/Nbs0VxEsQFY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_2tT2UagkWEwUJx-, also I take it that you doing Templin over pancreas no work's new video because of the subject of said video
Best part of Stargate is their visible progression of technology instead of status quo and stagnation.
It's more a series of status quos. Which is not a bad thing. If there's never time for a status quo, then shakeups don't really matter as much.
It took the SGC seasons to get starships and billions of dollars. It really felt like it was earned.
@@spencersholden and most of the tech the SCG gets you can usually trace it back to something someone picked up in a previous episode
SG1 is a good time. Not flawless, but decidedly enjoyable.
Agreed. I liked most of the series as a whole.

Stargate had 10 seasons and two spin-offs I will say it was a very successful show for its type and yeah get it and watch it I think you enjoy it
If you ever have liked any Sci-Fi show, then definetly do Stargate (mid to late seasons of SG1 the heat will be on 😉)
no the actor for jackson was James Spader the show he was acted by Michael Shanks
Sg-1 was a great show and spawned two spin-offs and two direct to dvd movies that wrapped up the original series. Watch the show all the way to the 7th season, then start watching the Atlantis spinoff alongside it.
If you liked Babylon 5, you will love SG-1 and Atlantis.
In the real Cheyenne Mountain they have a sign on a closet door 'Stargate Command'.
When Syfy took over the production it really took off
Have you seen season 2 of Stellaris Invicta? The Antares Confederation.
Can someone please explain to me why in the show start gate the United States air force has space ships and the united states navy doesn't have any space ships?
The Stargate movie became the establishing events of the Stargate SG1 TV show and all spinoffs frim then on, like Stargate: Atlantis.
Star Trek: "The Prime Directive prevents us from interfering."
Stargate: "Your gods are fake and we'll help you kill them."
SG1 is really worth the watch. It shows the progression of humanity like no other sci-fi. Just finished my 8. watch through of the shows😊
SG1 is an amazing show boss, I’m rewatched the main series at least twice and can honestly say you’ll enjoy it and I can also recommend Atlantis.
The other is Samantha, aka Sam, she's the airforce astrophysicist (and my god did that actress fight to make the show as scientifically accurate as they could, she got tge writers to hire real scientists to help)
Seasons 4 onward the show really starts hitting its peak and the amount of filler episodes dropped off.
Kirk Douglas? You mean Kurt Russell?
Yep. Definitely worth watching.
season 1 was Exploration, everything after that was galactic war until it got canceled. the one focusing on the ancient alien ship was exploration mixed with combat but I can't remember anything big happening before it got axed.
Wanna know a funny (possibly related) 40k fact?
in the Stargate universe; the earth born humans are referred to as the "Tau'ri"
COLONEL O'NEIL, WAHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!
I remember watching SG1 and Atlantis on the Sy-Fy channel.
"IN THE MIDDLE OF MY BACKSWING?!" 😂
Sg1 is an exploration show. But they use what they find and the SGC's capabilities steadily expand until they are casually making intergalactic journeys. It's one of my favorite sci-fi shows and settings
Also. Tealc is the same actor who voices Kratos in the new games
you should check out the BC-304 Deadalus class battlecruiser video, it is fantastic. As a die hard stargate fan i got chills watching it
Kirk Douglas was in movie just called soldier, that may or may not be a kind of prequel to blade runner.
Kurt Russell.
"Indeed"
Youre somewhere close to my age old man. You should definitely watch this show. Make it a reaction series, there arent many SG reactors and I think you'll enjoy it like so many fans do!
I grew up with SG-1. Highly recommend!
All this, and they still mostly kept true to traditional science fiction, in that it was able to portray and narratively debate and disassemble various heavy topics - slavery, sexism, warmongering, loss, terrorism, freedom of information, religious zealotry, expansionism... the list goes on.
not universe that series was a mistake
Amazon owns the Stargate rights and has asked original writers for a concept script for a show
10 seasons worth of great content plus the two spin off shows. It absolutely is worth a watch, it is a bit slow at times but for how long it went on for it is a well worth watch.
Loved that show. If you liked James Spader in the movie, then check out The Blacklist if you haven’t already.
Star gate is really good it handels alot of scifi tropes extreamily well
Great Thing about Stargate: you start in the 90's with Just human Tech, then steal some stuff from the Aliens, then make Friends and slowly earn more and more technology. Earth is the Underdog, only one Planet with almost no real Firepower, no shields and no FTL. So when they finally get their First real ships, it feels Like both they and you have earned that. Jaffa Kree!
Stargate is epic
Personally, I think the spinoff Stargate Atlantis was better in terms of story, but both it and SG-1 are good, and they are better than a lot of TV shows now.
Some episodes are skippable and/or forgettable, but they are all entertaining in some way, and I never watched an episode that felt like a bad episode.
Honestly, looking for a good sci-fi show that is a perfect example of the golden age of television before it got dark and later terrible, you could not find a better show.
8:00 so many spoilers 😂 (seen it though), also its pretty much the closest we are ever going to get to an XCOM tv series
Boss I think you and boss lady might like this it's fun and has mcgiver as the leader of sg1
As a former member of the Air Force, we definitely do not have anything like this under the Chyanne Mountain Complex... so dont ask😶
You know what to do now. Stargate reactions.
Can you react to "Ranking the Galactic Powers of Stargate" by Templin Institute
During the entire runntime of the series the 304's never reached doubble digits.
They highlighted the doctrin of the Goauld in a episode inwich SG1 presented the P90 to the rebelling Jaffa. The line "This (points at jaffa staff) is a weapon of terror, and this (presents P90) is a weapon of war. may not be word for word, but the meaning behind it stuck with me.
I very much enjoyed the SG1 and SG Atlanthis series, but dropped SG Universe much lather than I should had.
Also, the Doctor will alwhays be the Doctor and I love him for that.
My fav old scifi shows are Voyager, Andromeda, Farscape, Lexx, SG1 (all of the spin off seasons too), Babylon5 and Battlestar Galactica. :D
Yes it is quite good I liked it
Watch SG-1. Just do it! You'll thank us! As for the size and scope of the SGC, remember that SG-1 ran 10 seasons, Stargate Atlantis ran for 5, and Universe ran for 1-2. Things built up over time.
It was a good show and you need to do a marathon of the show
I am real and they did look good, they knew the limits of their tech and made it work rather than try too hard. The story writing for Bab5 was also phenomenal .
short: you going to love it
in long: it have so many things in it, good humor, lots of diferent views and angels, ONeal play in old McGayver like McGayver, Daniel dies a lot :) Tielc is new Kretos from new God of War
The first series of SG1 was not very good. (Most of it was really, really bad.) But from season 2 onward it just got better and better.
shit got wild in sg1
Stargate is really good and a Lot of fun. You should watch it
You should check Stargate Universe. Atleast I like it. It is darker than standard Stargate, but I prefer that.
You watched the first season of Stellaris Invicta, but did you also watch the second?
Larisa Thompson, yeah she left to do more voice acting work. Good for her I say
Basically with a government doing a budget cut and shutting the program down for a few years, leaving a new power vacuum that the "new program" has to figure out how things changed AND directly address problems from that power vacuum and the people who filled it
in my humble opinion watching the slow rise of the sgc from sending small fire teams against the near insurmountable might of galatic empires to being able to field whole fleets and hold its own against the worst this and several other galaxy's have to offer. and shoving humanitys fist down the thoats of countless false gods. is one of the greatest experiencers one can be subject to. all the pitty that the francine is all but dead.
and all star gate fans hold these truth's to their heart
Sg1 season one is a bit rough and we skip the episode emancipation
we all kind of got tired of the will they wont they of carter and orneil
the ground hog day episode with have you in tears, in both ways
the replicators should have stayed as bugs (at least in sg1) atlanise is a diffrent kettle of fish. and the bug ones would wipe the floor with the borg
the ori are one of the greatest villan races ever
we stand rodny mecay, but he deserves every bad thing that happens to him. hes like magus in that way
commander Shepard and todd mutual frienemey status is deeply entertaining
the teal'c vs rohonen fight is peek and dont lie we'd all be their betting on them to
you will conflicted feelings about the system lord Yu,
and though short lived, star gate univese is the voyager we should have gotten. though it gets really weird at points
Ya know given your love of the foundation and 40K I'm surprised you haven't checked this out.
Edit: The current VA of Kratos was Tealc.
10 seasons.
(yeah I suggested you react to this in the comments of your last BT react video)
Blake's 7? Space 1999 (most plausible space craft in sci-fi)
Red Dwarf?
Antares Confederacy > Greater Terran Union :)
Spoilers, spoilers. Just watch the show, it's great.
I watch all the shows of it. It really good except for the destiny one. That one’s real bad.
