Another pukka vid Gaz your chuckle really cheers me up. I've finally got everything I need to go camping. The bells and all the wicker man don't bother me but all them cracking branches freak me out. I don't think I could switch off if I heard that around me. I keep delaying a camp.

Yeah about time!! We have very little patience on this side which explains why we are here I guess. I was thinking to myself i could never go through the woods with the speed and vigor as you do then It hit me our wild ass side has to be more cautious so be thankful for that because it would be nice to have less fear here in the woods.
For Fendy’s down blanket-sleep with it under your covers at home for several nights. She likes your jacket because it smells like you. My shepherd steals my shoes and just snuggles them. Weirdo. Its a comfort thing when they love you lots.

Witch bells for days and yes that is a pentagram. Don't worry it isn't inverted so it's good. Witch bells are generally hung up in Pagan sacred spaces - their noise keeps negative spirits away. So your probably safer there than many would think 😊

Hi Gaz, you need to get yourself a night vision camera and an infrared camera which picks up heat signatures. By prowling around with your torch on your actually given any perpetrator an opportunity to hide and creep up on you.

The bells are Witches Bells, a kind offering to protect, usually used on front doors, however, in woods it would be to protect against harm and negativity.

You need to get a night vision camera so you don't have to use any light, and people can't see you.... It would have been great for this. Using any light is like a beacon from you with a target on your back. It's so much safer without a light. If it IS people, and not a ghost, you'd be safer. People are more dangerous than ghosts.....

Hi Gaz! Deb, from across the pond. Just a suggestion, if you want to keep the bugs away, cut a lemon in half, push 10-15 whole cloves in each half, place them in a bowl and goodbye mosquitoes!

Another thing that keeps the bugs & miges away is VICKS VAPOUR RUB...
Just a little bit on each wrist, and both sides of our Necks keeps them away. Some of the little bleeders bite, and seriously make me itch..

Hi Gaz , the bells you found are known as witch bells for keeping negative energy etc away , the star symbol is actually a Pentacle and is one of the oldest protective symbols , the points of which representing. Earth ,Air , water , fire and spirit , the small metallic pendant was a symbol of the Tree of life , all Pagan symbols and nothing bad in anyway 👍

When you were in the tent, I heard what sounded like someone quietly cough. Then in the bush I heard someone quietly say something. I think whoever I heard was the person who put up all those bells.

Great video! So pleased to see Fendy back to her usual self too! I think you may have stumbled across a Witch meeting place. The pentagram, surrounded by a circle, with one point upwards shows no harm intended. Possibly a place where a Coven meet to cast spells for good things or for healing. Witch bells act as protection against anything evil or negative. I have some in my campervan. Mind you - I did wonder how you didn't get yourself lost! Take care both !

Gaz you need to get and smolder elephant dung to get rid of the flies , midges and other bugs , works like a dream trust me . If you go to Longleat and just ask them if they can give you some ele dung , dry it out and burn/smolder it . Pretty soon you will be selling it , it's that good 4:55

I do a lot of stealth camping all over Europe, also turkey, & north Africa. I never cook near my campsite. (Bears.) Or ever light a fire. I sit in my fold up chair, untill it's just getting dark, .. then put the tent up, and get straight in + sleep. Don't turn on any torch, unless there's some unusual reason. Turn a torch on, and anyone, within a mile, knows you're there.. you need a chair, you can lean back on. It transforms camping..best wishes
There's another outdoorsman I watch called English woodsman. There is a small woodland near Bradford somewhere that has some very strange activity. It would be good if you could arrange to camp there for a night. I'm open minded about the paranormal but it's very interesting. Much love Gaz keep doing what you are doing ❤

At one point the bells sounded right outside the tent and lots of branches breaking very close by. Regardless of the wind when it would stop, the sound was obviously close by you.

What a perfect little spot to set up the tent. I was thinking as I was watching your setup, it's a shame that tent makers seem only to make tents in solid colours. What a shame that they don't make throw-overs, or something similar, with rock, bush, tall grass, water, or tree trunk designs, or even ghillie suit type throw-overs, to help the tent blend more easily into it's surroundings, not just for stealth campers, but for safety reasons. Maybe they actually do, and I've just never seen them. The tent colour is pretty good, but it still sticks out from it's surroundings.

Here in the US Pacific Northwest we have lots of rain in winter and summer and lots of mosquitos and midges, or what we call “no-see-ums”. Never as bad as the hordes of them you had in your tent…Jeez…🫣
What I use to ward-off mosquito’s and midges is “Cutters Lemon-Eucalyptus spray” or “Repel Lemon-Eucalyptus spray”. Amazon has both. They work pretty well and are Deet-free. Great video Gaz…👍
