Gigi is just adorable...I have truly enjoyed your weekly vlogs showing your family's "life". Haven’t seen GiGi in a while. She is getting so big! She is such a beauty! Hard to believe how children grow and transform into the person they are going to be so fast. My son is 19 and in college, he’s my only child. He will always be my baby. My miracle, my sunshine. So proud of the young man he’s become. He’s smart, kind, incredibly funny, and understanding/caring of others. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday he was sitting on my lap while I would do my makeup. I became physically disabled in 2014 and he helps out so much. I am so grateful for him and that he wants to be home. Covid has been a time that we have really had a good time. Spending the afternoon just talking about anything and everything has been so nice. To have a son that has such a good clear head in his shoulders make me beyond proud of him. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this. Take care and be safe.
Guys, my life flashed before my eyes when she said she was 2. Jess, I remember when I was watching your videos and you were so excited and glowing about being pregnant. I really do love your videos, they're just so calming and it feels real. I know you always say you want it to feel like we're sitting down and drinking coffee and chatting, but it's honestly what it feels like sometimes!
I have been watching you 7 years and I love every single video that you put out. 2020 has been a disaster but I'm glad to watch your videos. They make this whole year better.

Try the Purito BB cream! You can get it on Amazon for $10 and it is amazing! Great coverage and actually doesn’t settle into fine lines. Only downside is it’s Korean so only 3 shades. Loved seeing your little one she is so cute!!
I had a tube of the Maybelline BB Cream for so long before I got into skincare/makeup (in my 40's, no less!). I liked it, even though back then my skin was so dry and dehydrated. I also love the CeraVe tinted SPF, but more so in the Fall/Winter as I live in the Midwest and prefer the more dewy look then instead of in the Summer months. Also love the Maybelline single shadow in Dusty Rose! Love that you used to many products that I actually have in my collection!
I'm one who wears eyeshadow primer basically ever day! My eyelids are too oily, if I don't use it I'll have major major creasing and mascara marks on my eyelids 😬 I've tried using concealer and it just doesn't get the job done for me! Jealous of you no-primer people 😉
I just recently bought that maybelline rosy shadow. You just loved it so much I had to try it. Only $2.99, and yes, it IS awesome. It’s a peachy rose gold. Perfection. Very subtle and when I wet it it’s so pretty. Not a foil, but a gentle shimmer and no glitter. So pretty. It’s my go to now so thanks Jessica! 😍
I was off the eyeshadow primer for a while too, but man does it make such a difference when I use it! Everything blends easier and remains creaseless. Glitter glue/primer is something I have recently been using everyday too with my regular satin/shimmer/metallic shadows; it doesn’t have to just be for glitters! I have hooded eyes and never have to worry about transfer with it.
YES to a tutorial 🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️. I used to think winged liners were the hardest. Elf has eye tapes from Target or Elf.com will help a lot to guide the wing, cut them in half befor both eyes, I did them a few times super simple with practice I think I do them very well now I've done them in my car parking lot without mistake I never thought I could do the. Ulta dual tip cotton applicators 75 count are very helpful to correct the wing with the pointy tip a little bit of eyemakeup remover or water, lots of practice. Hope this helps in the meantime.
With eyeshadow primer, I absolutely wear it because of HOW LONG I wear make up -- I don't have oily eyelids necessarily but I don't like that 'faded eyeshadow' look around hour 6 that can happen if I don't have the primer on. If the eyeshadow fades even with it, well, the eyeshadow formula might just be crap.
I use the Cerave sunscreen and I’m a light/medium olive skin tone (Puerto Rican) and it works so well for me! Blends in nicely with no cast. So good for dry skin!
I use eye primer everyday because concealer makes my shadow crease. I don’t have oily eyelids, but I find with primer my eyeshadows last up to 14+ hours.
I use primer too for the same reason. Also I find that concealer changes the color of my shadows sometimes (i.e. it makes the shadows look cooler toned because I use a pink toned concealer)
Hi Jessica! I love the Cerave sunscreen also! It's great for out the door foundation/sunscreen. It is dewy, but I tend to have dry skin, more combo in the Summer. I love the coverage. I'm 60 yrs old, and am so happy with this product! Staying power is good too!
I’m normal to oily and I’ve been using that ceravae tinted moisturizer with powder foundation over it. It sets it and adds more coverage. Not LONG lasting on me, but definitely good enough to run errands. Love it! Gotta have that SPF! I’m 44 and on retin-a so it’s a must!
A lot of the makeup I have gotten is because of you. I genuinely trust your judgment and I love your videos. Once I see the review I usually wait for a CVS coupon and pick it right up. Thanks for all your reviews!!!! 💜💜💜 mucho amor
I use eyeshadow primer religiously because my eyelids are oily. I Have to or else everything will move to the crease very quickly. Weirdly enough, though Robert Welsh always says Don't set your crease, if I don't, then the same thing will still happen just to a slightly lesser degree - a lot of my eyeshadow will migrate to the crease. But if I set it with just like a light, loose powder, then the primer will not move and my eyeshadow will take a full day to start to move.
I’m definitely intrigued by the idea of the Cerave tinted product! I don’t like using foundation but I like using a product that just kinda evens things out ! Not related but I would love to hear about your journey with taking theatre in college and then deciding to move on to teaching. What changed your mind? I’d love to watch a video about your career journey!
I have dry leaning tan skin and I love the CeraVe tinted sunscreen, I have found that it is best to rub it in and let it sit for a minute or two before adding makeup on top.
Love how you don’t push products on anyone and tell them if you have something already (like the flower beauty) that we don’t need to purchase it. Makes your reviews super trustworthy! Thank you!
LOVED sweet Gigi’s little cameo! Also excited about the spf recommendation. I’ve been so interested in trying the paula’s choice one, but I’m sooo down for a cheaper, similar alternative. Thanks Jess!! 😊👏🏻
I use Milani Eye Primer religiously...it is less drying than some primers and has a slight tint. It helps my looks stay, if not all day, then a good part of the day. (All day with glitter glue). Something about living in the desert, but primers help. ❤️
That CeraVe SPF and Maybelline BB cream are my absolute favorite. Barely any coverage but it's dewy and I feel like that dewy-ness helps make the skin appear perfected and youthful. I hope they never discontinue it.
I'm really interested in the tinted Cerave Sunscreen! Looks like something I could throw on for days where I'm running late ,want to look put together, or for days where i don't want to wear a foundation but still want to have some kind of coverage to even my skin out !
The Australian Gold tinted spf is awesome! I used the paulas choice but it was so expensive since you use it quickly. I have often used those tinted spfs alone because I like low coverage and they provide the slightest amount.
Love a surprise Gigi appearance! I somewhat recently finished up one of those BB creams and didnt like how it wore on my skin at all. But I finished it off during quarantine when I was just on video call meetings.
I’m a professional makeup artist and I do use a eyeshadow primer or some kind of base every time on myself and clients. If you take ( Milani eye primer for an example) and put some on your wrist and then swipe a shadow on it, then do same shadow next to that on bare skin, you’ll see a huge difference.
I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now and feel like we have similar tastes and wants in makeup. I also loved the idea of the plump and shine lipstick with similar results as you had. A friend recommended that I try the Watermelon colour. I believe it’s called Watermelon Plump. I took one look at the colour and thought OMGOODNESS NOO! But since my friend, who always looks gorgeous btw, recommended it I gave it a try. It is now my favourite easy wearing lipstick and because I was reaching for it so much I bought one just for my purse. Please try it and I hope you love it! Just know that the colour is somewhat shocking in the tube but when applied it gives a sheer summery hint of colour.
Hooray for a new Jessica video!! I just picked up an elf blush stick and the Bambi eye mascara off your recommendations and I’m loving them. Your videos are so comforting with the craze of the world right now. Thank you for giving us non-covid related content so we can get a sense of normalcy.
Yes! I swatched one of the other ones at work and it was BEAUTIFUL. I was actually shocked at how nice it was. It looked like it could’ve been a colourpop super shock shadow. Maybe the shade she got is the dud of the collection. 😭
I actually love that lip color on you!! Your whole look is very pretty here. I understand that eyeshadow is not what you'd hope for, but overall you look so pretty 😍
I’ve been REALLY into the Ulta brand bouncy cream eyeshadow (particularly in the shade Macaron). Oh my goodness, I love it. I think you’d really like it.
I have a medium skin tone. The Cerave tinted sunscreen blends into my skin. It definitely looks like it would be way too light but it’s not. It’s for normal to dry skin for sure.
I have the same plump and shine lippie and I’ve realized that by the 4 or 5th use it applied way better than the first few as far as showing the texture in my lips. I’m not entirely sure if that was the product or my lips but just wanted to mention it. Also just tried the lumi bronzer and it’s def a new fave.
The CeraVe sunscreen with a tint might be light if you're more tan but let me tell ya, it's miles better than the one without tint....it has such a strong white cast!! I wonder if CeraVe are going to come out with one that's without the hydrating aspect because I'm wondering if that's what makes it sticky...hmmm.... As far as eye shadow primer, yes I always wear it! Even if I don't wear any eye shadow. It lightens and evens out my lid color! Love the Nars pot eye shadow primer. It was so fun to see Gigi!
I feel like I use eye primer to increase intensity and grip. I definitely notice more concentrated pigment when I prime. I’m curious if the shadow would have laid down better on primed lids.
I have that same Loreal lipstick and I also have really really pigmented lips. It’s too light for me also so I apply it to the middle of my lips and blend outwards with my finger, looks gorgeous!
I have severely dry eyelids, which is actually what makes my eyeshadow crease. I was just using concealer and it look horrible before I even left for work. So I started using eye primer and honestly, it does make a difference. I didn’t believe in it before that
I use the tinted Cerave with some cream bronzer, cream blush and cream highlighter. Throw on some translucent powder and top to make it more matte and that is my usual summer face.
Great vlog! I don't know if you've tried it before, but I use the Vichy facial tinted sunscreen SPF60. I find it fab as it gives me a slight healthy glow tinted, plus it's good enough to wear by itself with concealer xox
I’m in love with the new elf bb cream which has great coverage and a glow. If you haven’t checked it out you totally should. I think it’s only a spf 20 but I layer sunscreen under everything anyhow. Sending oodles of love
Excited to see your thoughts on the Cerave! I love it and wear it just as a “foundation” and set it sometimes when I don’t want to look so glowy. I let it sit on the skin for 10-15 minutes before going in with other products.
I'm excited to see a review on the tinted cerave too! I use a bunch of their other products and sunscreen but may want to try the tinted one at some point
Jen Farina I use a lot from the brand too! Love the tinted sunscreen. I’m like Jessica, if you have oily skin I don’t think you would like it tho. Lightly setting with powder does help with the glow.
Jessica....you have to try Alastin hydratint! Amazing tinted spf 36. Physical sunscreen. I use it now as my foundation with some concealer for work with my mask. Sooooo good! You’ll love!❤️. $55 but last forever!
The maybelline bb cream is the best bb cream in the market. It leaves a beautiful finish on the face. No other product can compare to Maybelline bb, especially for mature skin.
I have the plump n shine in that nude shade too and it also looks to light on me. I went out to get a more flattering shade and I love it! I got the shade watermelon plump, and it's so beautiful! I think you'd love it too. It has that "I just ate a popsicle" look to it 👌 so gorgeous!
The shade combos between your bb cream, bronzer, and lips in this video is justtttt so pretty!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

aquaphor is amazing, especially for the lips!
I really like the thick liner, it's very flattering!
Most beautiful make up table accessory in the room: Gigi. She is adorable. And look at her, working that brush like a pro!
I use the tinted Cerave with some cream bronzer, cream blush and cream highlighter. Throw on some translucent powder and top to make it more matte and that is my usual summer face.
Great idea thank you!!!
That sunscreen & bb cream made your skin look so healthy & beautiful 🥰🥰
Great vlog! I don't know if you've tried it before, but I use the Vichy facial tinted sunscreen SPF60. I find it fab as it gives me a slight healthy glow tinted, plus it's good enough to wear by itself with concealer xox
Love gigi making a special appearance. Need to try the Loreal plumping lipstick. Thanks for the video always look forward to them coming on.
Never comment but I've never missed a video since you had Gigi , and my heart just raised seeing you two💜
Weekly Vlog and drugstore favorites...back to back baby! Makes for a great Monday!
Awe your baby girl is adorable, Jessica ❤️ Thank you for all you do!
Yes! yes! yes Jessica, I love Cerave sunscreen and all their products. I am a fan for all of it. I am so glad you like it as well.😉❤️
Loveee the dramatic black liner on you! So prettu
I live for your uploads! Love them . Your makeup looks amazing as always
I use that sunscreen as a tinted moisturizer/bb cream all the time!
