THIS!! It sucks how often there are misguided reviews for products.. so it's difficult to find actual feedback to make a better informed decision of any issues a product does have or could have via packaging, skin type, or doesn't pair well with another product and doesn't mix/work like it should. I read reviews like crazy before I buy anything.. even in stores.

I always want to ask a million questions about how they used something, how often, under what conditions do they store it... etc. I had one lady (I’m an ulta employee) come in so angry that a glycolic acid was causing her to break out. I apologized and started directing her to other treatments that might be more effect, she then off-handed mentioned how shes excited to find an acid that works great because she hates removing makeup. When I questioned further I found out she thought because “acid exfoliates” that she didn’t have to remove her makeup and the acid cleaned her face for her. She left a review for the product JUST mentioning her reaction with mentioning all this extra information.
The Elf Primer situation was sorted out. The person who first brought it up and declared the elf primer was a scam was discredited. She didn't understand the pump mechanism - Jen luvs Reviews did a video discrediting the original video. You are getting the amount of product stated on the bottle.

I found it interesting because they took the whole bottle apart, explained how an airless pump works, & talked about all of the benefits of them! What was crazy is they actually tried measured out how many days she would get out of it & if she she used 1 full pump a day (she said she was using half of a pea!), she would get 57 days!! Almost 2 months in a TRAVEL SIZE using 1 pump every day; the lady said it should have last her a full year🤦🏼♀️🤣! Then, after Jen & the BN girls did their reviews, she STILL said they were being paid to say what they did...I do believe she gave up, but if you want to watch an informative yet funny video...just search Beauty News ELF Scam. I learned a lot but recently I feel that somehow the whole thing went on a sideway... It became consumerism with a lot of beauty gurus promoting/using only highend products suggesting that it is the new norm... As much as I like the peronality of Allana Davison, Jemie Page -they don't use drugstore priced products. This is true for Ali Andrea and Katie Jane Hughs too but they are makeup artists so they teach a lot of techniques and tricks. Lately I've found myself watching them less and less. All I want to say is.. Thank you for using drugstore products!

It’s not fantastic but does a decent basic job lol. My teenage sister and her friends all still use it if you were curious. Kinda made my heart happy to hear 😂

When you did the Wet n Wild winner my heart jumped for joy! I remember owning the Walking on Eggshells trio and I literally took that frosty white and put it all over my lid and packed it on! The ULTA matte eye primer has become my HG. I love how opaque it is; some days I use it alone, without shadow, just to cancel out the discoloration on my lids. Yes, it’s overpriced, but I never pay retail. There’s always some kind of BOGO or coupon going on. 😎
The colour pop brow pencils are my favourite literally both types! I have blonde hair and I find that blonde eyebrow pencils from most drugstore brands are to warm. I’m not sure if all colour pop brow pencils run more cool toned but that is why I love them!
I love the covergirl 3n1 foundation. It also says that it is a concealer as well. I have found it to be the best concealer for my under eye. I am 62 and it does not settle into fine lines and I don’t even have to set it. I’ve tried other heavier foundations and they show texture on my face. 3n1 looks like skin. It’s amazing!

I was just using the maybeline age rewind concealer recently and I thought if you buy a dark shade it would probably be a really nice liquid bronzer. I’m gonna give that a try here soon and see.
I like Maybelline Great Lash but only in the "Big" version with the super fat brush. It's really good! I've tried original Great Lash and thought it was awful.

I really appreciate that you always mention fragrance. I bought the dewy glow because Taylor raves about it but I can't use it due to chemical sensitivities. It's also pretty expensive per ounce. More than most high end!

This is the type of video all influencers should be concentrating on as equally as so ridiculously many of the new product releases. This is so good because it calls us out to use some products we may already have in our makeup drawers. In this video, I was reminded that I wanted to again try four things I have already and know I love: Maybelline Age-rewind Concealer, L A Girl Shady Slim Brow pencil, P. F. Butter Bronzer, and a major old fave, Essence Pure Nude Highlighter. I’m kinda excited to use these oldies but goodies once again. The thought of “New and Improved” isn’t necessarily always accurate. I bought the Pure Nude on your recommendation and I love it. Although, it is a little dark for me, I was surprised the first time I used it. I am lighter than you and it's more of light bronzer/ highlighter on my skin but if I blend it, it sheers out. I do love that it's a natural highlighter.
I have bronzer struggles due to coolness and paleness and really need bronzer and blush to be foolproof every morning.. I concentrate on first pushing bronzer well into the hairline and then (without adding a second dip) use the same brush in the figure-3 and under the jawline .This controls the amount of powder that stays in the brush. I like Elf's Selfie Ready Powder Brush for this. It effectively buffs P. F. Butter bronzers and blushes, so I keep a dedicated one for each. One little trick if you think you have too much powder on a brush is to test it in a decolletée area.

Luminoso blush has grown on me. I have oily skin so I usually stay away from anything with a sheen to it. But omg as a blush topper it is gorgeous. I use a matte blush first, then do just a light dusting of it on the apples of my cheeks and it is gorgeous. I'm so glad I own it.
Agreed! The PF light bronzer is a totally different tone than the regular bronzer shade. I’m pale AF and still use the Bronzer shade, and it work great!!
The Covergirl foundation is my holy grail! It has lasted me 15+ hours with sun exposure on a hot day plus sweat and still looked great at the end of the day! I have found recently that I prefer applying it with a brush instead of a beauty blender, which is a bit unusual for me. So many great products in this video! Congrats on your fall collection!
Yay, Colourpop Frog and Ritz are my two favorite super shock shadows! And Revlon super lustrous lipsticks even though old fashioned, I have to agree with you, are very pigmented and moisturizing, I have several faves: Certainly Red, Love that red, Toast of New York and Raisin Rage, I reach for them a lot! I used Maybelline’s Great Lash for years and loved it! I only switched because I got bored, but I think about going back. I would get regular compliments on my lashes with Great Lash and I haven’t gotten any since, even with Monsieur Big!
Maybelline age rewind concealer, Milani luminoso, Essence highlighter, and Catrice dewy setting spray are all HG products I use almost every time I wear makeup. I'm 42, and they work so well with my aging skin and my skintone.

It has been a hot minute since I tried a new shade of the butter gloss… I do not think I have that red color! After watching this, I dug through my make up to see if I still had Milani Luminoso!! Still have it!!! Can’t wait to wear it again… It’s been a while! Gorgeous look, as always!
I used to love the Great Lash mascara from Maybelline. I loved how deep the color was and how it wasn’t clumpy. The Loreal voluminous mascara wasn’t bad but I also did have to wait for it to dry a bit in order to build volume although it can get a bit clumpy.
Rimmel's Lasting Finish Foundation is amazing! Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation is my HG foundation, I LOVE that stuff. Essence Luminous Matt Bronzer is also my new HG bronzer, it's so perfect for pale skin, so light and natural and doesn't pull orange at all.
I never used the instructions on the wet and wild pallets. It never worked for my eye shape, which is deep set. I really need to try some of the new wet and wild shadow quads! Everyone seems to love them. Can't beat the price. Love this kind of content!
It's amazing that this is exactly what I have been working towards over that last few years. I only want to keep one to two products per category, only buying new products when I run out of one. Most of the ones you mentioned are the ones I chose!! LOL! (affordable products only!) PS I use the Luminoso blush every day. This is the category where I have more than two products, but when I try to use another color, I always go back to this one! I am addicted!
Patti 1962 - so wise. I’m trying to move in that sort of direction. I’m getting better, but I still have too much makeup, and it’s enough that when I want to use something that I’ve not used in a while, I prob won’t be able to find it easily. Need to declutter, but that’s not easy for me unless it’s just really out of date. :|
@@lizmiller7681 Well, if you already own it and paid for it... you might as well use it. I have two daughters-in- law, so they took a lot of the makeup when I got rid of everything. I did it very slowly over three years. Now all my makeup fits in a small container! I only kept a few eyeshadow palettes because I use a lot of cream eyeshadows now that I am older. I decided to declutter my entire house and be more minimal at the same time, so it made since to do this with my makeup as well. It helps me to NOT be tempted to buy all these new products that keep launching... it's ridiculous.
Loreal voluminous smudges on me terribly. I love elf hydrating primer, it is as if I put an oil on my face, great for dry skin. Try it if you can. I never tried Physicians Formula bronzer, as people say it smells too much. Nyx butter glosses are the best, age rewind, wet n wild shadows I love them all! Great recommendations ! Also, have you tried Note BB cream (try no 501), oh my god, it is soooo good. I am sure you are gonna love it. So affordable, looks so good on the skin, more coverage than your average bb creams. Never heard anyone talk about this BB cream, I am sure you are gonna fall in love with it as I know you love Missha bb cream!

I just got the Shady Slim Brow Pencil from LA Girl in my order I picked up from Ulta yesterday because you talk about it so much. I have brows but need to fill in a few spots.
Anytime I question my eye look, I add Colourpop Frog to it. Seriously!!! If I finish my eyes and I question the look, I add Frog and it makes it soooooooo much better. It doesnt matter the undertone or shade, add Frog and it is better!

Hey Jessica! If you do an Elf brush video, I LOVE using my Elf Highlighting brush to lightly set my face with the Charlotte Tilbury powder. It’s kind of fluffy and pointed and does the job perfectly!
The original Loreal Voluminous is my favorite! The Lash Paradise doesn't work for me at all. But yeah the Voluminous definitely gets better as it dries slightly! I just wipe off the wand a little bit until then.
If you like Luminso that much, try Berry Amore and Rose O’ro. They both are gorgeous shades! I live in the Midwest and Kroger always has Milani cheaper than Ulta and drugstores! The Catrice dewy primer is my fav! I always have a backup.
I think it’s because they are a new brand when it comes to being available worldwide or at least in many countries. I’m pretty sure it’s been available in Europe for a while but it only recently came to Ulta in America.
I'm one of those for whom the Essence highlighter is too dark. It was my first highlighter and I tried to make it work for ages but I finally had to give up. To be fair, I'm so pale that I couldn't find a foundation until Fenty made everybody expand their shade ranges.
Jordana is sold on the Walgreens website and select stores. I know because I just ordered some of their lip liners for one of my customers awhile back. Great video btw!

Have you ever tried the Essence Pure Nude as an all over finishing powder? IMO it's a dupe for the Hourglass Ambient lighting powder. It does have some back pigment though. If you swatch it and blend it out you can see that effect.
Was never a fan of the 'walking on eggshells' palette, but loved the Flights of Fancy collection quads, "Stop Ruffling my feathers" and "Flock Party" palettes :-) I still have them, they are so good for travel.
For work yesterday I used my maybelline concealer in fair(it it is a perfect match and set it), neutrogena #10 blush, and the l'oreal voluminous mascara(I love this mascara just so my eyelashes don't look bare). I didn't want to put the effort in but I didn't want to look like a ghoul haha. I love that they are ALL *drugstore* items!! Also, I loved that you used Taylor Wynn's new name!!

The ULTA matte eye primer has become my HG. I love how opaque it is; some days I use it alone, without shadow, just to cancel out the discoloration on my lids. Yes, it’s overpriced, but I never pay retail. There’s always some kind of BOGO or coupon going on. 😎
The colour pop brow pencils are my favourite literally both types! I have blonde hair and I find that blonde eyebrow pencils from most drugstore brands are to warm. I’m not sure if all colour pop brow pencils run more cool toned but that is why I love them!

I love the covergirl 3n1 foundation. It also says that it is a concealer as well. I have found it to be the best concealer for my under eye. I am 62 and it does not settle into fine lines and I don’t even have to set it. I’ve tried other heavier foundations and they show texture on my face. 3n1 looks like skin. It’s amazing!

I was just using the maybeline age rewind concealer recently and I thought if you buy a dark shade it would probably be a really nice liquid bronzer. I’m gonna give that a try here soon and see.

I really appreciate that you always mention fragrance. I bought the dewy glow because Taylor raves about it but I can't use it due to chemical sensitivities. It's also pretty expensive per ounce. More than most high end!
Me too! I’m really sensitive to fragrances and scents. I finally got my hands on a bottle of the Catrice Dewy spray, got a whiff, and it never touched my face.

This is the type of video all influencers should be concentrating on as equally as so ridiculously many of the new product releases. This is so good because it calls us out to use some products we may already have in our makeup drawers. In this video, I was reminded that I wanted to again try four things I have already and know I love: Maybelline Age-rewind Concealer, L A Girl Shady Slim Brow pencil, P. F. Butter Bronzer, and a major old fave, Essence Pure Nude Highlighter. I’m kinda excited to use these oldies but goodies once again. The thought of “New and Improved” isn’t necessarily always accurate. I bought the Pure Nude on your recommendation and I love it. Although, it is a little dark for me, I was surprised the first time I used it. I am lighter than you and it's more of light bronzer/ highlighter on my skin but if I blend it, it sheers out.
I do love that it's a natural highlighter.
I have bronzer struggles due to coolness and paleness and really need bronzer and blush to be foolproof every morning.. I concentrate on first pushing bronzer well into the hairline and then (without adding a second dip) use the same brush in the figure-3 and under the jawline .This controls the amount of powder that stays in the brush. I like Elf's Selfie Ready Powder Brush for this. It effectively buffs P. F. Butter bronzers and blushes, so I keep a dedicated one for each. One little trick if you think you have too much powder on a brush is to test it in a decolletée area.
Does anyone remember the Full N Soft mascara...that stuff was great! It was before the voluminous line.

Luminoso blush has grown on me. I have oily skin so I usually stay away from anything with a sheen to it. But omg as a blush topper it is gorgeous. I use a matte blush first, then do just a light dusting of it on the apples of my cheeks and it is gorgeous. I'm so glad I own it.
Agreed! The PF light bronzer is a totally different tone than the regular bronzer shade. I’m pale AF and still use the Bronzer shade, and it work great!!
The Covergirl foundation is my holy grail! It has lasted me 15+ hours with sun exposure on a hot day plus sweat and still looked great at the end of the day! I have found recently that I prefer applying it with a brush instead of a beauty blender, which is a bit unusual for me. So many great products in this video! Congrats on your fall collection!
Yay, Colourpop Frog and Ritz are my two favorite super shock shadows! And Revlon super lustrous lipsticks even though old fashioned, I have to agree with you, are very pigmented and moisturizing, I have several faves: Certainly Red, Love that red, Toast of New York and Raisin Rage, I reach for them a lot! Did they ever change the scent of the Revlon lipsticks? I used to love some of their shades & like the formula, but I DESPISED the scent. I could taste it all day, it was so strong & never faded...

I used Maybelline’s Great Lash for years and loved it! I only switched because I got bored, but I think about going back. I would get regular compliments on my lashes with Great Lash and I haven’t gotten any since, even with Monsieur Big!
Maybelline age rewind concealer, Milani luminoso, Essence highlighter, and Catrice dewy setting spray are all HG products I use almost every time I wear makeup. I'm 42, and they work so well with my aging skin and my skintone.

I used to love the Great Lash mascara from Maybelline. I loved how deep the color was and how it wasn’t clumpy. The Loreal voluminous mascara wasn’t bad but I also did have to wait for it to dry a bit in order to build volume although it can get a bit clumpy.

Rimmel's Lasting Finish Foundation is amazing! Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation is my HG foundation, I LOVE that stuff. Essence Luminous Matt Bronzer is also my new HG bronzer, it's so perfect for pale skin, so light and natural and doesn't pull orange at all.

I never used the instructions on the wet and wild pallets. It never worked for my eye shape, which is deep set. I really need to try some of the new wet and wild shadow quads! Everyone seems to love them. Can't beat the price.

PS I use the Luminoso blush every day. This is the category where I have more than two products, but when I try to use another color, I always go back to this one! I am addicted!
Patti 1962 - so wise. I’m trying to move in that sort of direction. I’m getting better, but I still have too much makeup, and it’s enough that when I want to use something that I’ve not used in a while, I prob won’t be able to find it easily. Need to declutter, but that’s not easy for me unless it’s just really out of date. :|
@@lizmiller7681 Well, if you already own it and paid for it... you might as well use it. I have two daughters-in- law, so they took a lot of the makeup when I got rid of everything. I did it very slowly over three years. Now all my makeup fits in a small container! I only kept a few eyeshadow palettes because I use a lot of cream eyeshadows now that I am older. I decided to declutter my entire house and be more minimal at the same time, so it made since to do this with my makeup as well. It helps me to NOT be tempted to buy all these new products that keep launching... it's ridiculous.
Loreal voluminous smudges on me terribly. I love elf hydrating primer, it is as if I put an oil on my face, great for dry skin. Try it if you can. I never tried Physicians Formula bronzer, as people say it smells too much. Nyx butter glosses are the best, age rewind, wet n wild shadows I love them all! Great recommendations !
Also, have you tried Note BB cream (try no 501), oh my god, it is soooo good. I am sure you are gonna love it. So affordable, looks so good on the skin, more coverage than your average bb creams. Never heard anyone talk about this BB cream, I am sure you are gonna fall in love with it as I know you love Missha bb cream!

I just got the Shady Slim Brow Pencil from LA Girl in my order I picked up from Ulta yesterday because you talk about it so much. I have brows but need to fill in a few spots.

Anytime I question my eye look, I add Colourpop Frog to it. Seriously!!! If I finish my eyes and I question the look, I add Frog and it makes it soooooooo much better. It doesnt matter the undertone or shade, add Frog and it is better!

the elf primer controversy was always very dumb. someone opened up their elf primer and then didnt understand what an airless pump was and wildly misunderstood what they were seeing.
I adore the Maybelline Age Rewind foundation and concealers. Makes a big difference on my tired face!

Hey Jessica! If you do an Elf brush video, I LOVE using my Elf Highlighting brush to lightly set my face with the Charlotte Tilbury powder. It’s kind of fluffy and pointed and does the job perfectly!
I love the Covergirl outlast foundation and the age rewind concealer is my every day work team.
The original Loreal Voluminous is my favorite! The Lash Paradise doesn't work for me at all. But yeah the Voluminous definitely gets better as it dries slightly! I just wipe off the wand a little bit until then.

The elf primer bottle is an air pump. The bottom comes up as you use the product, making the actual volume of the container smaller.
If you like Luminso that much, try Berry Amore and Rose O’ro. They both are gorgeous shades! I live in the Midwest and Kroger always has Milani cheaper than Ulta and drugstores! The Catrice dewy primer is my fav! I always have a backup.

I think it’s because they are a new brand when it comes to being available worldwide or at least in many countries. I’m pretty sure it’s been available in Europe for a while but it only recently came to Ulta in America.
Karleigh Di Figlia Revolution was also recently available in Australia too (probably like 2 months ago?)

I'm one of those for whom the Essence highlighter is too dark. It was my first highlighter and I tried to make it work for ages but I finally had to give up. To be fair, I'm so pale that I couldn't find a foundation until Fenty made everybody expand their shade ranges.

Have you ever tried the Essence Pure Nude as an all over finishing powder? IMO it's a dupe for the Hourglass Ambient lighting powder. It does have some back pigment though. If you swatch it and blend it out you can see that effect.
Was never a fan of the 'walking on eggshells' palette, but loved the Flights of Fancy collection quads, "Stop Ruffling my feathers" and "Flock Party" palettes :-) I still have them, they are so good for travel.
For work yesterday I used my maybelline concealer in fair(it it is a perfect match and set it), neutrogena #10 blush, and the l'oreal voluminous mascara(I love this mascara just so my eyelashes don't look bare). I didn't want to put the effort in but I didn't want to look like a ghoul haha.
